Dear Community members,   Does anyone have information about the cost involved for Creo Pro/Toolkit license cost. I am planning to kick start a development effort on the creo Pro/Toolkit (+ Object toolkit side). I would be interested to know the cost involved for following APIs. Hello, I am writing Jlink code to get the Mass, Density and Volume on a CAD part. I am able to fetch these values but I am not able to get the unit for Density and Volume. And there is no UnitType.UNIT_VOLUME or UnitType.UNIT_DENSITY that I can pass as a parameter.I tried to find the JLink API that I can use to get the unit of measure for Volume and Density but I couldn't. I know Density = Mass/Volume, so does that

Hi,In Creo 4.0, is there any way to change/show the quantity of items (not bulk items) as "REF" or "AR" in BOM which is having multiple assemblies?I could be able to change the values in BOM with single assembly (using relations - "rpt.rel.<User Defined>")But for multiple assemblies BOM which I created using "rpt.qty" & "Column Model/Rep" I am not able to change the qty values.If I use rpt.rel.<User Defined> parameter, then I am not able to add second assembly using "Column Model/Rep.Can someone please help on this question.Thank you!!   

Hi,   When ProMdlnameRetrieve gets PRO_MDLFILE_DRAWING, depending on the environment, it takes a long time to get a return value other than PRO_TK_NO_ERROR. For example, in the case of PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND, if the PDM server is not active, the return result of ProMdlnameRetrieve takes less than 1 second.If the PDM server is enabled, it may take up to 2 minutes to return PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND. Hi all, So I was looking to start customizing my workflow so I can make parts and drawings quicker. One way I wanted to do that was to start customizing my keyboard shortcuts. I am noticing in Creo Parametric 7.0 that you can't have any keyboard shortcuts that are single keyed or are a combination of a key and Shift? With all of the different tools in Creo that I could use shortcuts for, this seems arbitrarily limiting. I do have the option "enable_single_char_keybrd_short" enabled, but whenever I try to make a shortcut with a single key or a key+Shift I get the message "Invalid shortcut. Please use another key combination." So can you just not use single key shortcuts? What's the point of that config option? Any help is appreciated! Thank you

Is it possible to save column in variable element ?I tested to export this session after the modification using  creo_parametric_customization.ui but my modification is not supported in creo_parametric_customization.uiHave you already tested this customisation? Thank you for your help  

Hi all, I would like to know if exist a parameter to set up for not create a fastener file everytime I add a fastner into a assembly.If I insert a new fastner using IFX, I will have  a prt file inside the folder of my project. Is it possible to save all the fastnere that I will use in every assembly in a single folder so is not necessary to re-crate a new file everytime I will insert that fastner in another assembly? Thanks

Hello,I am here trying to differentiate between edges which are hidden in specific drawing views.I have all edges of model but don't know to differentiate between hidden and edges which shown in drawing view.

I need to add a floating license during the running of the TOOLKIT program, because this license must be used during the running process, and the addition of this floating license will be canceled at the end of the running. Does anyone know how to do this? MACRO cannot be used. PTC does not seem to provide such a method or function in the toolkit and object toolkit. If anyone knows, please let me know, thank you.If there is really no such method, ask PTC to add the function of adding and canceling floating licenses to the API   

I need a support to get some information on Creo pro-programing as I'm working on this topic for one of the projects to change the model according to new design specification up on regeneration which will run by the program. As of now, I have made the program using parameter relations which will create the required models based on the parameter's entry as per the design specifications and it is working well.   The program is written in such a way that it will pop up the error message window if we enter wrong or incorrect values as inputs but after that it will ask for to continue regeneration or abort the changes as in the attached snap. If we give yes to continue regeneration, still program could be able to create model with incorrect parameter values. But can we restrict this regeneration or set user defined error message saying that the entered values are incorrect please try to enter correct input values blah blah ……?

In Creo Parametric, we know that there are 2 kinds of text in 2D sketch, one is to add text manually, and another one is to add it by parameter of the related model, and I want to know if we have some function or interface in pro/toolkit to access the text to change the parameter relations as the picture showed. Currently I couldn't find any similar function. I need the help....Thanks a lot! Bob

Hello all , I am trying to connect into Creo using a python code to extract the parameters into BOMs..First off has anyone successful done this?? I believe it is possible , However I maybe missing a file or module or not using the correct connection command. Here is  the current setup.-Creo 6.0.5.1-Python Latest version-All modules update to date.-I have all the toolkit API installed.-pro_comm_msg in environment variables- I have preferred to used win32com.client module to make connection but it has failed to make the connection.- I have also tried Creoson third party software to  make the connection. I was able to connect  to the server and Creo but failed to extract the parameters .it just stated no attributes to get...As there no offical help on this software it is hard to get help on this. So If anyone can provide code of how they establish a connection and was able to send commands/extracted data would be helpful. Thanks.

With Creo 9 removing the deprecated Gtoldata API methods, it's not clear to me how to get all the same data points we were previously.It seems relatively clear how to replace the "has a specific symbol" methods like ProGtoldataDiameterGet() and ProGtoldataMatCondGet() by searching the value strings returned by ProGtolCompositeGet() for the strings returned by ProGtolSymbolStringGet(). I'm looking for compatible versions of Visual studio to customize Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0 and confused that PTC articles are telling to use Visual Studio 2019 v142 but available versions under 2019 build are only 16 and above. Is it okay to use Microsoft visual studio 2019 v16 and above? Is it fine if I go for version 2022? 

Hello! I was creating one symbol file in which I need information extracted from one of the available notes in drawing but there is no method to define notes in variable text field. Right now, I am using parameters to define values. anybody knows how to define symbol using notes.

We regularly use image files on Creo drawings, we import them from the downloads folder. When we check in the file in Windchill, it loses the image because it is on the client machine. Is there a way to import a image file into a workspace so it will check in with the drawing?
