I have no problem in reading Kepware simulator from address R0001 (which self incrementing) from node-red, but unable to write into address K0001 or S0001 in node-red. Hello. Im wanting to communicate with some ABB totalflow  computers through Factorytalk SE. Do I need just the ABB Totalflow driver or do I need the OPC connectivity suite as well.

I need to transfer a Kepware license (offline)...  1. I created the trasfer_request file on the 1st server... no issues2. I uploaded the transfer_request file to kepware portal... no issues3. I created the activation_request file in the 2nd server... no issues4. I uploaded the activation_request file to kepware portal and everything seems to be ok... I complete the form with the requested information... no issues5. however when trying to create the activation_response file, the file is not generated and google is only redirecting me to a page with the next title "Legal Policies, Agreements and Disclaimers" (see attached image)Please advise... I really need to get the activation_response file in order to activate the 2nd server.

We are working with PLC Siemens S7-1500 Firmware v4.0. OPC is able to establish connection but at some point it disconnects and gives following error: "Device is not responding. Connection closed by device". Slot and rack in configurtion is correct. PLC Siemens S7-1500 Firmware v4.0KEPServerEX version 6.18 Could you please suggest any solution?

Dear Team,We are setting up Kepware to connect to an OPC UA server (e.g., Prosys/800xA) and publish selected tags into an MQTT broker at the Edge (Mosquitto).I see that Kepware offers both the OPC Connectivity Suite and the IoT Gateway add-on. The product descriptions are a little confusing in terms of overlap, so I want to confirm:If my use case is strictly OPC UA → MQTT JSON payloads, is the OPC Connectivity Suite license sufficient?Do I still need the IoT Gateway license in addition to OPC Connectivity Suite for MQTT publishing?Is there any difference in MQTT support between these two (e.g., Sparkplug B, payload formatting)?Are there any tag limits for each of the two license suites ?For long-term production deployments, which is the recommended license bundle for OPC UA to MQTT?Thanks in advance for clarifying!

Using KEPServerEX 6.7; ModBus TCP/IP Ethernet driver try to connect to  Endress+Hauser promag 400 MB flowmeter.I have connection established with no errors to flow meter, but keep reading quality good from registers but zero values.For example the register 32909, ModBus Id, should be "10" and i am reading "0"I am suspicious of some Data access or Data Encoding parameter not well configured.  

I have KEPServerEX 6.17.269 installed. I ran Nessus Vulnerability scanner and it appeared that .NET 6.0 is installed on PC. I think that KEPServerEX uses .NET.The reccomended remediation is to install .NET version 8.0. I wanted to ask if KEPServerEX 6.17.269 is compatible with .NET version 8.0? Is there any page that I could see which versions of .NET is suported by which version of KepServerEx?

Hi, I have used Kepware with Siemens WinCC SCADA in the past to communicate with Rockwell Control Logix PLC's but did not create any static tags within Kepware.  I created a tag database within WinCC and the WinCC SCADA tag addresses contain the path to the OPC topic and the controller tag within the PLC.  I am now looking at an existing FTView SE application that is using Kepware to communicate with Mitsubishi PLC's but has created static tags within the Kepware configuration so the FTView application uses the Kepware static tags directly without having to create HMI tags in the FTView application.Are there any performance advantages by creating static tags in Kepware and using them directly within the FTView  application as opposed to creating the tags within the FTView system ?  How does the Kepware comms driver handle comms in these two situation ?

We have identified the FlexNet publisher installed automatically with the Kepware install as a cyber vulnerability and want to remove it. We have KEPServer EX6 v6.6.350.0 installed. It is using a lic file for licencing.Can the FNPLicencingService application in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FlexNet Publisher be removed without impacting the running of the KepWare application?

it's a warning in the log of Kepware ,It says "Write request timeout on device'FP_A_U4_Pester.Overwrapper' and 'FP_A_U4_Pester.Overwrapper Unable to write to address on device .Address ='PLC1:.fold_TuT_AlarmInterlock' I use OPC -DA protocol establish communication between Kepware and FP_A_U4_Pester.Overwrapper , and I use Advance tag to write a boolean to PLC ( "PLC1:FP_A_U4_Pester.Overwrapper.fold_TuT_AlarmInterlock") ,I check from the PLC of machine , it's successful sent the boolean from Kepware to PLC1:FP_A_U4_Pester.Overwrapper.fold_TuT_AlarmInterlock ,my question is why I have a warning message when Kepware have a successful sending ? if you want get any further information ,please contact me any time when you are free .thanks a lot.

Hello all,I am a new user working on a project for a customer. We are using KEPServerEX 6.17.240.0 on 2 redundant VMs to connect to several Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500 PLCs via Siemens TCP/IP and OPC UA protocol respectively. After Reinitializing, I get the following warnings for each OPC UA connections: Date Time Level Source Event05/09/2025 07:32:22 Warning OPC UA Client CHANNEL.DEVICE | The Publishing Interval for device has been set by the server. | New interval = 1000 (milliseconds), Requested interval = 500 (milliseconds). The publishing interval is set to 500ms for all devices on the KEPServer. I was shown by one of the PLC programmers that the PLC's intervals ("sampling" and "sending" intervals) are also 500ms. Most of the connected PLCs are programmed by different people so I find it unlikely that all of them set the interval to 1000 instead of 500, so I suspect the error on my side. I have upgrated from Kepware 5.20.396.0 to Kepware 6.17.269.0.The project it is the same, it has channels in  OPC UA Client and 3 channels in  OPC DA Client.The 3 OPC DA channels communicate with the same OPC "Server Werum OCIF 1.5.0":- Channel 1 contains one device configured "Update Mode:Exception"- Channel 2 contains one device configured "Update Mode:Exception"- Channel 3 contains one device configured "Update Mode:Polling"In the old system Kepware 5 all worked smootly, in the new system with Kepware 6.17.269.0 the devices in "Update Mode:Exception" randomly have errors:- Read failed in opc client because half/all tags are in bad state- From Kepware logs "Reconnecting server on channel '...' due to GetStatus failure"- Write failed in opc client: from Kepware logs "Async Write 2.0 failed for '...'. We are using KepServerEX6 (6.6.350.0) communicating to Control Logix PLCs.We want to upgrade the PLCs to Control Logix Firmware 20.58.How can I determine if they are compatible?

In the BACnet software WebCTRL the value is 65.88 but in KEPServerEX the value is 66.  I forced to read and the timestamp updated but the value remained the same. I thought it was rounding it or something. I changed address to a different temperature that did show decimal places and it updated to that point's value and showed decimal places. I then switched the address back and only after doing so did it show a current value with decimal places. It's a little concerning that the value was shown as good and the timestamp having updated but the value  seems to be old. Is there a bug in the BACnet driver or possibly some weird dead band? In WebCTRL the value is currently 65.71 and is fluctuating a tenth of a degree every 5 or 10 seconds. In KEPServerEX it's just stuck at 65.86 and no longer seems to update. The polling rate is very slow but again if I force that one value to read or wait for the normal polling the timestamp updates but the value doesn't updat

Hello.I am currently reviewing a new project.I am considering whether to configure the new server with Windows Server 2022 or Windows Server 2025.If KepserverEX works properly on Windows Server 2025, I would like to configure it with Windows Server 2025.Could you let me know whether this product is compatible with Windows Server 2025?

What tutorial should I follow to properly setup this connection? 

Is IoT gateway included in a Kepware+ subscription?

 Hello,I’m facing a strange problem with KEPServerEX. We noticed that some alarms are not being logged in ThingWorx but are listed on the HMI. Upon investigation, we found that the scan rate on Kepware was set to 1000 ms, and the boolean tags were changing value too quickly (e.g., 0 -> 1 -> 0 within 200 ms), preventing them from being scanned.We adjusted the device and Quick Client scan rate to 100 ms, and now we can see changes and the update count increment correctly.However, this behavior doesn’t align with what’s happening on the PLC side. When the boolean changes from 0 to 1 on the PLC, Kepware shows the value changing from 0 to 1 and then immediately back to 0. The same behavior occurs for tags with value of 1.Do you know why this could be happening?We currently don’t have access to the PLC, but it shouldn’t be the issue because both Kepware and the HMI read from the same database.Environment:PLC: Siemens S7-300KEPServerEX: v6.14.263.0, Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet driverOS

Hello Eveyone,I currently own a Kepware Siemens Suite license. During the original installation, an Administrator password was created for Kepware, but it was never recorded and has since been lost.As a result, I am now unable to make any changes to my existing installation. For example, I intend to purchase and add an IoT Gateway license, but I cannot apply it to the current Kepware instance due to the missing Administrator password.I kindly request your assistance in either removing or resetting this password so I can proceed with license updates and modifications. I can see own the Siemens Suite License ID.

Dear Team,I am currently conducting research on the Kepware Configuration API and have observed that the API exposes various endpoints for accessing configuration data and properties.In our setup, we have the following structure configured within Kepware:ProjectChannel1Device1Tag1The values for Tag1 are actively updating, sourced from an OPC simulator. We are able to confirm that the tag is receiving live data updates within the Kepware environment.We would like to understand whether it is possible to retrieve the live value of Tag1 using the following Configuration API endpoint:http://localhost:57412/config/v1/project/channels/Channel1/devices/Device1/tags/Tag1Please note that we are specifically looking to access this data without utilizing the IoT Gateway REST interface.Could you kindly confirm whether the Configuration API supports reading live tag values, or if an alternative method (e.g., OPC UA or another API) is required for this purpose?Thank
