Hello,  I have this error : Device is not responding. | ID='xxxx(ip of the machine)' but when i launch Quick Client i can see data coming from tags. Anyone can help me with this ? I'm using ThingWorx Kepware Server 6 and this is happening only for machines that use Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet protocol  Thanks 

I need to use Kepware to convert for a unit of measure. That is, if we pack 4 cups on the lines, I want to count the four as one single unit. How can the tool be used to perform the conversion?

Hi all,Been using the Kepware Configuration API for a few weeks and am trying to create tags where I customize scaling values (need to divide value by 10). I try to set:"servermain.TAG_SCALING_SCALED_HIGH": 100 The tag gets created and 201 created message is given, but it still shows the default scaling value of 1000.  Wondering what I am doing wrong here and what else I need to do to get the scaling to set correctly for a Kepware tag from the API.  Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Our project is considering using KEPServer but I still don't know the process to bring KEPServer from development environment to real use. Please let me know what documents I should look for and where to find this answer. Thank you.

Hi, I have a Kepserver with some Datalogger sending parameters to SQL,  for some reason at a specific moment one of the Dataloggers stop sending data to SQL buy the others Dataloggers still work fine. all of 4 Dataloggers have the same SQL Database table configured. they were working oks but at some point last week stop working. Any Idea?

Hello,We have a Wago 750-362 Fieldbus Coupler Modbus TCP device from an outside vendor that I would like to collect data from. We have the Manufacturing Suite and I see the Wago Ethernet and Modbus TCP drivers. It doesn't appear that the Wago driver supports this model, but I'm not familiar enough with protocols to determine if I can use the Modbus TCP driver. Is the Modbus driver an option, or would I have to reach out to the vendor to see if they'd replace the device with an ethernet model? I am anticipating that they will be resistant to the idea. Thank you.

Hello, Has any configured KEPServerEX to be able to run timers between a start and end trigger tags? I want to be able to setup Operation Cycle Time Logging from plcs tags and be able to calculate the time that it takes for the operation. Example: Timer between hit of a start button and final test saying that the test passed without having to create a timer in the plc itself to monitor this operation Thank you

Kepserex 6.3 is usedI am connecting delta PLC with modbus serial and all communication is proper and working but for some how i disconnected power of plc, of disconnected cable then reconnected cable then kepservex is not connecting the plc again automatically until i reinitialize it, which setting is necessary to connect with plc automatically after some thing like this occur#Reconnection #ModbusSerial

Dear allWe have OPC DA connection to the system having RSLinx Remote OPC server. Kepware is disconnecting frequently from the RSLinx system. Where as it is running fine from the development environment with same configuration. I have a UCON driver that is collecting scale data over TCP. The driver will work for a long time then suddenly stop working and begin displaying the data as "bad". When I connect to the device with putty I still receive the string data it is supposed to be receiving, but the driver is not collecting it or displaying any errors. When I reinitialize Kepware it begins working again. This happens randomly, it could be days or months before this will happen but it is a problem that I need to reinitialize since we are using Kepware for our data historian. I have tried using a stop character in the string received and have recently just tried stopping after a certain number of bytes, but I don't feel that is the problem since the stop character is always the same termination character.What would cause the UCON driver to stop sending/receiving TCP messages without any errors? Is there an error log somewhere for UCON drivers?Is there any way to correct this? Kepware version V6.4.321.

Hi, Setting up an ODBC client for the first time here. When I use fixed table Kepware throws an error after the setup saying "Kepware is unable automictically generate tags" . When I go to manually create the tags I'm not sure what to put in the Address section of the Data Properties, as there are no hints available/populated.  Thanks

I have installed Kepware 6.15.154 while installation I have not asked about username and password.After installation when  click on Setting it asking for password. What is default admin password.Also it was not connecting to thingworx.

Not sure if what I want to do is possible, I can't find anything solid saying yes or no. I am using Kepware now to log data to an SQL Database when a tag changes. I would also like it to create a CSV file at the same time automatically. Is this something that can be done inside Kepware? Tyring to keep everything in one place if possible. Thanks!

We have connected Mitsubishi FX1N, 2N, 3G and Omron PLC to the KEPServerEX using respective drivers through ethernet encapsulation mode and all PLCs are communicating with KEPServerEX as expected. However, we are facing the issue in Mitsubishi FX1N PLC when connected to KEPServerEX using the driver Mitsubishi FX through physical medium as ethernet encapsulation. Ethernet encapsulation is performed through MOXA Nport (TCP server Mode).Observation1) The communication between KEPServerEX and FX1N PLC is success and can be able to read PLC register data as expected.2) But whenever PLC get power restarted, observed abnormal/random values in PLC registers (Only in FX1N PLC).3) If KEPServerEX connection removed then no such observations noticed in FX1N PLC

Hi all, I have been experimenting with the Kepware Configuration API, specifically creating tags. I see that the data types in the API (EX: "servermain.TAG_DATA_TYPE": 21) are integer form, but I am unable to find a table that shows which data type converts to which integer, and when I create a tag without putting in a data type in the content it doesn't seem to automatically get the correct data type. Anyone know what integers correlate to which data types? Thanks!

Hello dears from the ptc community, I am reaching out to seek assistance with an integration issue I am experiencing. In may company, we have a machine with a Rockwell setup that includes a CPU 1756-L72S paired with a 1756-L7SP (partner) and a 1756-EN2T in slots 0, 1, and 2 respectively, within a 9-slot chassis. All remaining slots in this chassis are currently occupied.Additionally, within the same panel, we have a remote rack also in a 9-slot chassis, featuring another 1756-EN2T for Ethernet communication with the CPU. This remote rack has a single spare slot available in position 8. The communication between the Ethernet cards in the main and remote racks is done by a Stratix 5700 (1783-BMS10CGP). Following the implementation of this project, I have been tasked with connecting our process information management system OPC server, specifically KepserverEX 6, to the machine to make available a complete set of controller tags. To use the spare slot in the remot

FactoryTalk View SE version 10 - using MODBUS Serial - addresses are not active until I open up Quick Client, Once I open up Quick Client, the addresses in Factorytalk View SE show up. then once I close Quick Client, the addresses do no come through and do not show up.

Kepware last version absolute till now

I have created simulation channel and started logging in the SQL using DSN.However, the logging interval condition is 1 minutes. TImestamp is used for System.I facing issue that ms timestamp is increasing sometimes, and after few hours it will increase in 1 sec.  How to keep second data constant.

I am completely inexperienced in using KEPServerEX. I am already download KEPServerEX 6 demo version. Our company is currently implementing a project that will deploy the use of KEPware. I want to ask whether I need a license to use during the product development phase or not. If I want to use a driver that is not available in KEPWare's library, what do I need to do? Thanks a lot.
