Hello.I am currently reviewing a new project.I am considering whether to configure the new server with Windows Server 2022 or Windows Server 2025.If KepserverEX works properly on Windows Server 2025, I would like to configure it with Windows Server 2025.Could you let me know whether this product is compatible with Windows Server 2025?

I was following this tutorial to setup a MQTT connection between AWS and my KEPServer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr08r8B2wQE Both the KEPServer and AWS IoT Core are configured on the same machine but the connection is not working properly. What tutorial should I follow to properly setup this connection? 

Is IoT gateway included in a Kepware+ subscription?

 Hello,I’m facing a strange problem with KEPServerEX. We noticed that some alarms are not being logged in ThingWorx but are listed on the HMI. Upon investigation, we found that the scan rate on Kepware was set to 1000 ms, and the boolean tags were changing value too quickly (e.g., 0 -> 1 -> 0 within 200 ms), preventing them from being scanned.We adjusted the device and Quick Client scan rate to 100 ms, and now we can see changes and the update count increment correctly.However, this behavior doesn’t align with what’s happening on the PLC side. When the boolean changes from 0 to 1 on the PLC, Kepware shows the value changing from 0 to 1 and then immediately back to 0. The same behavior occurs for tags with value of 1.Do you know why this could be happening?We currently don’t have access to the PLC, but it shouldn’t be the issue because both Kepware and the HMI read from the same database.Environment:PLC: Siemens S7-300KEPServerEX: v6.14.263.0, Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet driverOS

Hello Eveyone,I currently own a Kepware Siemens Suite license. During the original installation, an Administrator password was created for Kepware, but it was never recorded and has since been lost.As a result, I am now unable to make any changes to my existing installation. For example, I intend to purchase and add an IoT Gateway license, but I cannot apply it to the current Kepware instance due to the missing Administrator password.I kindly request your assistance in either removing or resetting this password so I can proceed with license updates and modifications. I can see own the Siemens Suite License ID.

I want to upgrade my windows OS 2016 to 2025. So checking software compatibility for KepServerEX Siemens Suite, OPC connectivity suite, Allen Bradley suite software latest version. kindly advise. Dear Team,I am currently conducting research on the Kepware Configuration API and have observed that the API exposes various endpoints for accessing configuration data and properties.In our setup, we have the following structure configured within Kepware:ProjectChannel1Device1Tag1The values for Tag1 are actively updating, sourced from an OPC simulator. We are able to confirm that the tag is receiving live data updates within the Kepware environment.We would like to understand whether it is possible to retrieve the live value of Tag1 using the following Configuration API endpoint:http://localhost:57412/config/v1/project/channels/Channel1/devices/Device1/tags/Tag1Please note that we are specifically looking to access this data without utilizing the IoT Gateway REST interface.Could you kindly confirm whether the Configuration API supports reading live tag values, or if an alternative method (e.g., OPC UA or another API) is required for this purpose?Thank

Hello Everybody,I'm trying to connect Kepware OPC-UA Client driver to remote OPC-UA Server to read about 50K tags.It looks like the communication is too slow and other client, that connects to Kepware and read these tags experience read failures and doesn't read all of them and about 50% of tags signed with bad values. Event log of Kepware filled with lot of events like "The subscription id is not valid.",Status code = 0X80280000.(At the attached picture)Is it anywhere recommendations about good configuration practice on OPC-UA Client driver?And what are the sizing recommendations (amount of tags, devices and channels) for Kepware server?Thanks a lot

Hi everyone,I’m encountering a recurring issue with KEPServerEX v6.16.203.0 using the Modbus TCP/IP Ethernet driver. At random times, the following popup appears:“Runtime connection lost, reconnect?”This causes temporary communication drops with Modbus devices on the network.System details:KEPServerEX version: 6.16.203.0Driver: Modbus TCP/IP EthernetNetwork: Local Ethernet, no packet loss or network faults observed Has anyone experienced this kind of issue?Could it be related to the Security Policies Plug-in or licensing constraints?Are there any recommended settings to make the Runtime more stable? Any help or insight would be appreciated. How do I configure a static tag for basic MID001 start communication with a Cleco Controller using OPEN PROTOCOL? OPC quick client confirms I have connectivity to the controller, shows me the IP address configured. But everything I try to setup a basic tag for MID001 to transmit a 20Byte sequence fails. I created two static tags but I can't make them read/write, are read only. Doesn't let me set a value to send to the controller.  And Controller name is not reading anything back from controller.  

I am currently working on integrating a GE Fanuc 90-30 PLC with Kepware and have encountered an issue I’d like your assistance with.I have successfully connected to the PLC using the GE SNP driver in Kepware through a direct USB-to-RS422 interface (specifically, the IC690USB901). Communication works as expected in this setup.However, when I attempt to connect to the same PLC using a USR-N510 Ethernet-based serial gateway, I selected the GE Ethernet driver in Kepware, but the connection does not work.Unfortunately, the GE SNP driver in Kepware does not seem to support Ethernet encapsulation (serial-over-IP) directly, Any guidance or documentation on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Forum Members,Is there any methode to setting OPC DA Client and DCOM setting in windows server 2022? I do setting dcom from kepserver manual book and only can browse OPC server tag. after import and look at quick client, all value in " BAD ".Anyone can help?

Hi community,I need to automate a KEPServerEX installation but also want to enable the Configuration API at the same time, so it cannot be forgotten. Is there a way to specify this in the KEPServerEX6.ini file during installation or is there a way to manipulate the [Config API Service] in the C:\ProgramData\Kepware\KEPServerEX\V6\settings.ini file? All comments an insights are much appreciated!   

on the Logix platform, why would @MODE work as a tag  but @IsPresent will not pass Syntax check?  Both are valid. (v6.12)

Hello Community,This happen on Kepserver 6.17 when i browse tag on OPC server. after selecting tag and hit " apply " button then there is warning "One or more changes were not applied to 'Wincc.HIPC11SVR' since it is being referenced by a client.". i read manual but no solution. is there anyone can help?

It is also likely to cause issues with other third party MES Software, which really does not like reading from, or writing to addresses that are "Bad (Out Of Service)" .   Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation? ie, Is there a way to make sure I can identify situations where Kepware is unable to subscribe via MID51, seperately from situations where Vehicle ID Number is simply blank? Alternatively, can I change how Kepware determines a address is "Bad" I am in the same situation, looking at the same issue. We currently have to restart the KepServer regularly. I have a situation that I am trying to understand to see if this actually can be done. I have a FactoryTalk View application with a Numeric input that is scaled from -0.5 to 0.5 but it is writing directly to the Kepware Tag and is linked to a Modicon Register. I am not scaling the -0.5 to 0.5 in the hmi, I would like Kepware to perform that. So Ftalk input would be -0.5 to 0.5 and then Kepware would scale the -0.5 to 0.5 to 0 - 4095 and write 0 - 4095 to the Modicon PLC. Can this be done?

Hello Community!Can anyone give me a clue why does this happen. It worked but after some time it doesn't. See the image below. I already followed this error solution steps. However, this error still showing up. The concept is about connection of PLC simulator V15.1 of PLC 1200 to Kepware.I tried using NetToPLCssim if this the case but still the error persists.

The controllers are of type CJ2.We are testing with the trial version of KepserverEX 6 and for now we are testing the connection with only one controller.The controller data is as follows:Fins destination addressIP: 10.0.0.43Network: 3node: 43unit:15frame Length: 2028        The error is as follows: Date Time Level Source Event10.07.2025 09:57:03 Warning Omron FINS Ethernet Omron.ABC3 | Device responded with network relay error. | Net address = 003, Node address = 043, Main error = 0X10, Sub error = 0X5, End code = 0X9005. I also tested the connection directly to the PLC (disconnected the connection to the SCADA system) and we had the same error. What did we set wrong? Thank you and best regards

Good day.   I have exactly the same issue but in UDP. and sending data. I need to send two data in an ASCII telegram over UPD IP and UCON just stops sending after 5mn, 1 h, or 1 day or more. I have setup a BACNET device in Kepware....  How do you make the Tag Objects discoverable when a device tries to connect to the Kepware BacNet device ?

I am using PTC-Kepware evaluation copy to generate OPCUA Simulated data and it's working fine for customer demos. Many customer demands MODBUS RTU / TCP Simulated data from PTC-Kepware tool. 1. Is PTC-Kepware support MODBUS simulation?2. Where can I get training videos of Kepware tools?  

Is there a limit on the number of license transfers allowed for KEPServerEX?

I know the idea of using REST Client is to push data that makes sense and let the REST Server handle the other side of things. Howerver, the "otherside" in my case isn't as flexible. And the usecase am in, things will work only if the "|SERVERDATE|" send the actual date in yyyy-mm-dd formatAnywhere around having other handlebars variables to be used outside the |VALUES| part of the advanced template?
