Hello, I am currently using the base EMX extension and I noticed the extension utilizes injection molding. I wanted to know if the EMX extension is capable of creating plates/molds for pulp molding? Thank you.

  Hello Creo Experts, I have a question regarding volume milling. I typically choose volume rough milling sequences for my roughing operations. But now trying to use HSM Milling.. However, I've noticed that the cycle times of HSM sequences are not as efficient as I expected. Despite their name, high-speed milling cycles are actually longer than those of volume milling for the same pocket size. Could you please advise me on any parameters I might be overlooking to achieve a shorter cycle time with HSM or rough sequences compared to volume milling for the same pocket size? I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0For hole making manufacturing sequences, for whatever reason ours defaults to all models instead of reference model. To be more clear, I'm referring to when you click on the Mill tab>Holemaking Cycles>Standard (or whatever floats your boat)>References>Details>Options...the dropdown here defaults to All Models, and I am wanting it to default to reference models, since i am setting my reference model. As you can imagine, when we go to make a new program based off of an existing one, and we remove a fixture component, it causes manufacturing sequences to fail because they are being tied to these random models instead of just to the reference model.I have searched config.pro options and the knowledge database and I'm finding nothing that can point me in the right direction on whether the default to this can be set when creating new sequences. If this does not already exist, can this be added as a config.pro option?

I have a problem with the mouse in the mould base definition window, when I place the mouse over a plate it does not select to select it I have to move it either to the side or higher up,has anyone ever had this problem? if so how did you solve it?i have also tried with older versions but always the same problem.

I am in Creo Parametric 9.0.8.0. I am attempting to generate an MCD in Creo NC. I am able to generate an NCL file with no issues. However, when I try to generate an MCD file, after all of the prompts, I check my working directory and there is no file for the g-code output. I have attached an image of the log. Am I missing something here? 

I can set up a new table add the repeat region and add in the "file path" (no clue what you call it) to each cell. ex. terminal information  - mbr.terminal  For the entry ports/pin I found this file path on youtube mbr.connprm.pin.name. when I first make the harness I designate the connector and assign each entry port a coordinate system to work of off and then add in the entry port when I designate each connector. It also looks like other things aren't working either like if I wanted the wire color or the wire gauge going to the connector. I know I'm missing something I just can't figure out what.

Hi, Is there any possible way to enable or use autosave in Creo Parametric 6.0 ? We are working with large assemblies and program crashes suddenly if you are working something complex. Thanks in advance, -Enes

Did PTC ever fix the volume not remembering it's name issue they created in Creo4 and (as far as I know) carried it into every version past? Last time I checked it was still there (must be years now) even though it was a known issue that broke the mold design package. 

We use Creo 8.0.6.0. Is there a newer version of Autoaxis for Creo8?

We are being requested to provide an estimated clamp tonnage from our mold sampling department. Has anyone used Creo Tool Design to calculate clamp tonnage? Is there a feature for this? I  know Creo understands molding surfaces versus molding surfaces, parting line, and the molding part has the material assigned to it. Therefore, It would be nice for Creo to provide the user a estimate as  to how many ton (force) to keep the mold closed during injection.

Hi everyone, I have generated some 4-axis tool paths using the B-axis (rotating the stock), However, every time I export the Gcode it only has XYZ movements. I know that my tool paths are not great and there is still a lot of work needed so any suggestion is welcome, however the most important issue I need to solve is that the Gcode it exports is different than the toolpaths. So any help would be appreciated. I'm going to leave the Creo (Creo 9.0) file and a screenshot of the CNC interface for reference. Regards,Andrea

Has anyone come up with a way to export the centerline of cooling lines or solids of cooling lines from a mold design? We are being requested this from customers and simulation contractors.

Has anyone taken the Creo Certification courses, and if so, was it worth it?  Do you maintain your certification once you've earned it? I primarily work with "complete machining" extension.  I've been using Creo since 2012, currently on Creo 10.  I did a lot more modeling back when I started, but now we receive models from the engineering group and I use them to program the manufacturing. I did go about reaching out to Sales about the associated costs.  My fear is that the courses are sort of entry level and will be a waste of my time.  It appears that it may be an opportunity to see some of the work with the High Speed Milling extensions without having to purchase those licenses. Anyhow, I'd appreciate any input on how other's experiences have been with these certification courses. Thank you,Matt

Hai all,   Please refer below. Here the Smart hole chart option "Show hole ID" will show the individual hole position when selecting the respective table raw. It will be great if i can select the full set of type holes (Example A1-A4) to see where these holes are positioned. This will be helpful when showing the hole details in section view as i don't want to show same hole type in multiple section views. please let me know in any way it is possible.     Best regards, Abhinand  

HI, I’m having trouble generating NCL code for PostProcessor on the Mill turn machine. The machine is equipped with milling and turning heads as well as two spindles. I need advice on how to properly generate NCL code for both the upper and lower heads of the machine.If anyone has experience or tips, I’d greatly appreciate your help.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0When creating a milling step with complete machining extension, the tool name (created in tool setup) and step name (named in the construction tree) do not appear in the NCL file (and then in the ISO code for the machine).

When creating an NC sequence (Surface Milling), users can more or less control the Start Point of this sequence by changing the [Cut Angle]  under [Define Cut].Changing the angle from 0 degrees to 180 degrees, changes the Start Point and cutting direction into the opposite direction.The created start point is ad random within the set boundaries (Cut Angle), so with a new sequence the Start Point could be different. I know there is an option to define a new Start Point, but it immediately goes to the initial Start Point of the sequence.So X1,Y1,Z1 (A) is the initial Start Point.A new Start Point, X0,Y0,Z0 (N) will be defined.The sequence starts at N and then goes to A.This is not what I want.It is possible to start the sequence from Point N without going to Point A? The main goal is to have the same Start Point (lower left bottom corner for example) for every NC sequence. Thanks

Hello,I want to automate the drilling process using XML – I am using UDFs to create holes and I want to add XML for drilling and threading. When I do this, I have, for example, 10 holes and 10 annotations with XML. In Process Manager, I call them, and even when I check AutoMerge, it inserts 10 drilling and threading operations instead of one merged drilling operation and one merged threading operation that would include all 10 holes in two operations instead of 20. I found this video (17:30) where it works, and I am not sure where I am making a mistake.https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Tips/Mfg-Automation-Tips-Techniques-Session-Recording-West-Coast/ta-p/820680
