installation issue
As per this thread - same issues Hi everybody, sorry for joining this post so late but I have the same issue as others here. I just started using MathCad and I am a bit overwhelmed. I have a XMCD file but my version of MathCad Prime 7 will only open MCDX files (I can't click on the converter). Would it be possible for someone to help me out and convert the file. It would really help me out. Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvenience.
Well, I am back. I realize that the interest in COVID-19 Mathcad models may have waned; however, I have been tracking the data to estimate when the pandemic might essentially end. I have also included the MIT model for the risk of indoor transmission. This work is summarized in my report located here.https://www.dropbox.com/s/cplt4p8224sdnvd/PHYSICS%20OF%20COVID-19%20TRANSMISSION%20WORKING.pdf?dl=0 I did this research of the actual data because of so much misinformation in the news as well as government sources. All of the data comes from the CDC. I update and distribute this report weekly to various friends and family. Since this work was originally inspired by this community, if there is sufficient interest, I will be happy to provide the two MATHCAD files and associated data files.
While trying to activate the license I came across the following error when attempting to log in... "The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF" Is there any solution for this issue? Please see attachment for error message.
Imagine that you open a physics textbook and see the formula m a = k F, with the explanation that this is a mathematical representation of Newton's second law, where m is mass, a is acceleration, F is force, and k is the universal force constant... You, of course, would be surprised and say that there should not be any letter k in this formula. But you would be answered in the sense that the constant k serves to translate the force expressed in kilograms-force (an auxiliary force unit) into newtons (the base force unit). People have long been accustomed to expressing force in kilograms-force (kgf), and not in some “incomprehensible” newtons (N). That is why this formula contains the value k, called a universal force constant. Force can be expressed in other common units—in dynes, in pounds-force, and so on. But all of them would first have to be converted into kilograms-forces, and only then inserted into the formula m a = k F. Read please more ib attach. What can you say about it? On
sir, as per this thread, can you help me with this equation, the unit of result according to my design code should be as Mpa (N/mm2). the Mathcad file is attached
I've added the following solution to the Rosetta Code task: Compare a list of strings The new Mathcad entry is at https://rosettacode.org/wiki/Compare_a_list_of_strings#Mathcad Given a list of arbitrarily many strings, show how to: • test if they are all lexically equal • test if every string is lexically less than the one after it (i.e. whether the list is in strict ascending order) Each of those two tests should result in a single true or false value, which could be used as the condition of an if statement or similar. If the input list has less than two elements, the tests should always return true. As always, please feel free to improve upon and submit your own solution to this and the other Rosetta Stone tasks. Hello, everyone. My questions are very basic, but I need some help when I first encounter Mathcad. My questions are how to solve Partial derivatives and Indefinite&Definite integrals in Mathcad.I searched that through google, youtube etc. But I failed to solve. In most cases, I encountered an error called "MuPAD_unresponsive" and "This variable is not defined. Please make sure the label is set correctly.". I don't know why these error occurred. So, I would appreciate it if someone could let me know about the above. If you have instructions on how to use these as well as the overall tool, could you show it to me? And if possible,,,, could you make me a simple example file?
I have functions, which are working fine when I call in the first time. But I get an error "This Value must be an integer" with any subsequent calls for the same functions... What is wrong? please help!
an engineering student
Hello All,I am a total newbie and I am trying to read through some previous mathcad solutions and am unsure what this syntax means, does anyone have any idea? Is it saying if mod(j,2)=0 AND mod(j,4)=2,-1,1) then return 0 (screenshot 1)? I have a older version of mathcad so I am also unsure how to write this in my version (screenshot 2). I have also attached the problem document where I found this (PDF). Best Regards,MrTims
My goal is to produce a graph of ST vs pi(c) which is a variable from 5-60 with increments of 2 (dimensionless value). I have no idea why the value of tau(c) on the graph has an error and it said that this value must be a scalar. the value tau(c) should be dimensionless as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i want a student license
Hello All, Sorry for previous posts did not tag a answer, I am a newbie, will not happen again haha. I am a long time mathcad user. After retirement in 2016, I purchased a permanent licence for mathcad prime 3.1. It was working fine until recently, when the installation reverted to express mode. my attempts to “re-activate” the installation to to full functionality have been unsuccessful. I have obtained licence files through the self-serve tools, but when I try to use them, I get a message stating that the server is unavailable or down. Because I do not have an active support account, the PTC support team is inaccessible to me. I find this to be maddening, because I have a permanent licence for Mathcad, I cannot get it to work, and I can’t find any help at PTC. any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated mike o’neill
can you help me, sir, for solving this problem, I want to solve (Icr) term?
Hi All, I need help in achieving some calculation, which involves multiple looping inside.I am attaching the Mathcad sheet with some description of what I need t to achieve inside.I appreciate any approach through looping/ programming etc. Thanks a lot
Relatively new user of MathCAD here. I am trying to define a series of piecewise functions using if functions, then plot them by evaluating the function over a vector with a simple programming loop. When I define the input vector (i.e. the x points) using elipses like so: x:= 0 ft, 0.05ft .. 9.25 ft , I get an error. When I manually define an input vector ("Matrix/Tables" tab, "Insert Matrix") it works. Two questions: 1) Why is this? What is different between the two definitions of the input x vector? 2) Is there a more efficient way to define the input vector than manually defining a matrix? Is there a more efficient way to be doing this in general? Okay, so I lied about only 2 questions. My worksheet is attached. Thanks, - Kevin
Al iniciar el .exe, el programa empieza a extraer, pero al terminar se cierra el programa. En todos los intentos es lo mismo y no sé cuál es el problema
Meine License von Mathcad Prime 5 ist abgelaufen wie komme ich zu einer neuen License
When I start with the installation of Mathcad, at the and it is written "there is a problem during the installation of MSI" but I don't know what I have to do. I need the free trial installation because I am a student of engineering and I need this program for the final project. Please help me.
Dear community, I have a weird problem during installation of Mathcad Prime 5.0 Express. On three machines with Win10 the installation gets stucked at the "Application Selection". It does not show the list to select an application and I can not process with the installation. It's just an white empty screen. I had Mathcad Prime 4.0 installed before and uninstalled it. What can I do to install Mathcad Prime 5.0? Yours, Robert
Once the form for Mathcad Prime Express has been filled, an email will be triggered by PTC to user with the link to download the software and execute/run pim_installmgr_mathcad.exe and run it as an Administrator. 1. Select #Install new Software and Click on #Next 2. Select #I accept the license agreement and Check the box for Export agreement then click #Next 3. In the Application Selection screen, Change the installation directory, if required. Else, Prime 7.0 will get installed in the default location shown Use option #Customize to change the help center language or to install help center in multiple languages and to set locations for shortcuts for Prime 7.0 Choose list of applications need to be installed. By default, all the applications are checked PTC Mathcad Viewable Support is required when using Windchill integration, users who do not use Windchill integration may uncheck this component To get more information on each of the listed applic
