Mathcad

When you are on the Mathcad home page there is no indication of which subforums contain new messages since the last time I logged on (or the last time I looked at that forum - either would work). There also seems to be no way to mark threads/posts read or unread to keep track of what I have looked at. Are we goging to get these features? I consider the first one in particular to be essential.

Dear All,   I would like to create a list box. As reported in the following figure, I have two component, and if I choose one of this, I would like that mathcad automatically select the associated values.   I see that list box permit this, but I try with use it without success.   Can anyone help me to create a list box?   Best regards Stefano

Do you know? We can use (only in Mathcad 15 not in Prime) a vector or a matrix with one row as an argument of the Find (MinErr, Minimize and Maximize) function. One example

Dear All,   I need to solve a non linear equation in mathcad 15.   Input     After a physical test, I obtain the Mbase and phi value, that I use to determine mu trend (right graph). I after need to use the mu function in a non linear equation, to determine the equilibrium configuration of the structure.   NL equation   How can I use the mu(phi) function in the NL equation? if I set mu as constant I don't have any problem.   I have a problem with mathcad file attach. I've been using Mathcad Prime 4.0 daily for a few months, just a few days ago the program stopped starting up.   When I run the program, the green splash screen comes up, but a few seconds later it disappears and the Mathcad icon disappears from my taskbar. I'm running Windows 7.   I have looked through other threads where fixes have been reported (like this one and this one) but nothing works. I've removed the config file, tried reinstalling, and tried running as an administrator.

Hi everyone,  I´m currently working on a particle retention research. I work with mathcad and I´ve reached a point at which solving an equation actually became a challenge that can no longer keep for myself. Said so, I would be really thankful if someone could help me out with this. Let me explain the situation: I need to find an equation that allows me to match experimental data to the Ho-Zydney model. I´ve tried to do so by working with 4 independent variables which values I must guess, however, doing this takes too much time, as I have to adjust them (or at least try to) one by one. So, I tried to find out a way by using odsolve, but this is not helping me minimize the guess values to those 4 parameters. I´ve been Reading a paper that claims to solve that situation by using Euler´s method and some iterative process, this paper however, does not give much detail about it, so I guess I should stop trying to guess and find another way to solve my problem. I am trying to assign the output of a function to a variable.  However, despite presenting the results correctly initially, it throws an error "These values cannot be compared" when I try to assign it. What am I doing wrong?

Hello.    I'm fairly new to Mathcad, but i hope someone can assist me with this: I'm trying to solve some 3D statics, or make a template for it. At first i'm building 6 equations with 6 unknowns, I then want to solve this for each variable and afterwards put in the values. I've done it this way around in Maple, but i like Mathcad, and the price 😉   I have attached my crude attempt just to give a better understanding of what i am trying to do.  Hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction. I use Mathcad 2015 and when I calculate thermal resistance in K/W I get output in completely different complicated units using meters and seconds. How to force Mathcad to give me result with desired units?

Is there any way to index functions so that I can call different functions through an indexed variable (i)?  Something like this - although this only works as shown. When I try to turn x into a function (e.g. x as a function of t)) Mathcad balks and won't even let me define it (doesn't understand the syntax or refuses to let me define :=)     4.0 attached.  Thanks!

Hello, If something weighs 10 pounds, I put M=10*lbm The inertial load factor is LF=100gs (100 gees) The force will be M*LF= 10*100=1000lbf Why does MC screw up the units? I remember, if I used M*LF*g  then it used to revert to lbf. It does not do so today. What is the best way to do this

I ran firecrackers for my granddaughter on New Year's night. That's what we saw in the sky: a 4-d order curve passes through 14 points! Q Questions: 1. What case is more fine, interesting? 2. Why sometimes one point is out of the curve? Is it my error or an error of the numeric math of Mathcad 15? 3.
