Mathcad

Hello all, Hopefully this is something you could help me with. I am using Mathcad14, but I do have access also to Mathcad15 if needed (but not any Prime versions).   Suppose I have a sheet with this simple function: a(b,f):=b+f   I need to: a) display again lower in the sheet the exact formula of function a (meaning, I want to be able to type somewhere lower in the sheet "a(b,f)=" and then for Mathcad to automatically add after this "b+f")   b) I want to "export" a(b,f):=b+f (or even at least b+f) as a string to a file (excel preferrably)   I do have some (limited) scripting ability and I did manage to export data to excel files, but I can only do so with strings or simple variables. I have not found yet a way to do this for formulas. I am not even sure if it is possible. I do realize "formula to string" is a BIG thing, due to the many possible formats a formula may appear as, but atm I am really dealling with very simple expressions, like a*b+c (single row, basic o

At the last event "PTC LiveWorx Europe 2015" in November of 2015 it was presented a roadmap for the development of Mathcad Prime 4.0 and some future steps (themes) for Prime direction. PDF "PTC Mathcad Roadmap_2015" can be found in attachment. You can see what updates are planned for version 4.0 (now the release of version 4.0 is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2016 year) and is scheduled for subsequent releases after 4.0.Update_June 2016: New timeline (at time of June 2016) for Mathcad/Mathcad Prime product:Update_Jule 2016: In June of 2016 year within an annual meeting conference "PTC LiveWorx 2016" the new program of development for Mathcad Prime was submitted. For future release of Mathcad Prime 4.0 the same new planned features were shown in the program about which I wrote earlier here (except for expanded options of creation of 2D plots - this feature is transferred it for 5.0 version😞 Mathcad Prime 4.0: some new updatesPDF "PTC Mathcad Roadmap_2016" can be found in attachment.

It's been a while since I've checked in.  Is there any news on a projected release date for Prime 5?  The last roadmap I saw is now pretty old.

Hello maybe you can helb me with my Host-ID. I am new at mathcad and so I have a question to the licensing. First I had to log in and then I have to enter the productcode and pick a Host-ID. 2 different Host-IDs are suggested but I just dont know for what I need it and which one I should pick.

Hi all, What happens? I write a question, but it does not appear in the list. I want to answer a user's question and after posting it, the system responds that the answer was successful. But then it is not anywhere. Why? Who can tell me why and what should I do? Thanks MF  

hello, I am trying to find a way to use variables from sheet to another sheet without having it to define it in the new sheet. Is this possible? for example in Sheet1, I have VCC = 5V, I want to use VCC in the new sheet without needind to re-define.   Thank you, Hector Torres

How can i solve a System of n equations that has all equations in the same form likeEquation i: Q_i = k_i*A_i*DT ....when DT is a constant, all Q_i and k_i are given.How can i do this directly? Hi everyone, please how do i add legend to contour and surface (3D) plots with Mathcad 14

Forgive my ignorance I'm very new to this system and currently trialling it.   We are looking at some calculations from International Standards and struggling with the MathCad recognition of the units.   When I set the unit value up as Watts/m*°C its constantly highlights the °C in red and tells me it should be a scalar or in a matrix, which I'm still trying to understand the link to this?   I can get this box to go away if I replace it with the symbol ∆°C, which then allows the calculation to function.   The only problem then is the result from the equation should be in W/m*°C but the calculation keeps forcing a K, )which I'm guessing is Kelvin) to the front to the units which then causes problems with another calculation as the units become undefined even though they are a result of an equation?   We end up with K*W/m*°C, and the answer should simply be W/m*°C?   Not the worlds best mathematician but struggling to understand why the programme forces a ch

My expfit equation is not plotting. I am getting an "undefined variable" error. When I backtrace the error, my modified expfit equation tells me that "t_e" is undefined and to check label is set correctly. On the plot, the array dimensions do not match. Unsure how to correct these issues. Pages 7 and 8 are the problems. Using mathcad prime 3.1

Hello, I am working on some Laplace Transform problems and the problem got messy quickly and I figured I would just use a given find to solve for A, B, C, and D(for the partial fraction). But I am unfortunately running into an issue that I have seen before but I cannot remember how I resolved it. The reoccuring issue is the last variable in the matrix will appear to be undefined when it is clearly defined beforehand. I want to make sure to write down how to properly use the given find so this issue will not occur again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, in BS5628 there is a 'small area factor', this equates to "0.7+1.5A"A=areaI keep getting the error "these units are not compatible". I know its because 0.7 doesnt have any units, but the factor itself doesnt have units.Is there a way around this?
