Mathcad

I would like to READTEXT from text file which would form a two-column matrix.  That part is easy.  Then I would like to copy the contents of the first matrix to a second matrix, then use that second matrix for other purposes, but unlinked to the first matrix.

It is said that in order to run PTC Mathcad Prime, you must have the latest Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.x package for Windows x64 installed on your computer. At the same time .NET 8 end of life (EOL) is November 10, 2026 – after this date, Microsoft issues no further security patches or bug fixes. EOL means real risk: unpatched vulnerabilities, compliance failures... Am I missing something? It seems rather serious. It looks as if I have to skip the latest version. Does Mathcad Prime v12 work with .NET 10?

Hello. I'm using Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0 and I'm having trouble saving to PDF. Neither the built-in PDF export nor Microsoft Print to PDF works. I found this thread, but the solution seems to apply only to version 12, not version 11 or earlier. Was wondering if there is a way to mod or get mathcad to add geometric algebra (or Clifford algebra diff name) into mathcad. THis would include multivectors, the wedge product and the geometric product? Not sure if there is any modding of mathcad at all for reference  

My employer purchased mathcad for 3 of us, however despite IT saying mathcad is installed, it is only the trial version. I need to get the product key/code so I can utilize the license we paid for. To date, I have never been able to use the purchased version of mathcad and it was purchased about 3 months ago. please assist.

I cannot print to PDF when text contains Calibri font type. As soon as I change the font type to something else, such as Arial, the file will print to PDF without issue. I and several associates are encountering the exact same issue. We are using MathCAD Prime 12.0.0.1. Is this a known issue? Will it be fixed in a future update?

Hello. I am a student at Næstved Zealand and we use the free trial version of mathcad here. I have gotten a new computer and need to download it again but i am not able to. I keep filling out the blanket where it says: Free 30-day trial of Mathcad engineering calculations software. But when i finish it says i need to wait hours to get an email with a download link. But i never get this download link i have waited days and tried over and over. Is it possible to help me please?

Is there a way to automate the collapse or expansion of areas depending on user input above in a worksheet?  Maybe by use of JScript or Python?

I’m trying to develop a robust approach for analyzing different configurations of a four-bar mechanism in Mathcad Prime. I’m looking to determine the corresponding angles for the crank, coupler, and rocker based on the mechanism dimensions and input configuration.I’ve tried a few different approaches and, interestingly, I’m getting different results depending on how I formulate the equations. I’m not sure if I’m missing something fundamental in my approach or perhaps overcomplicating the worksheet.I don’t work extensively with Mathcad Prime, so I may be overlooking a reference, function, or recommended approach that would make this easier. I’m also finding it a little difficult to identify the right reference/example for what I’m trying to achieve.The ultimate goal is to build one generalized worksheet that can handle different types/configurations of four-bar mechanisms under the same set of equations, rather than creating a separate solution for each mechanism.Any suggestions on the

I uploaded some Excel files into M365 to convert into Mathcad Prime 11. The files created did not open in Mathcad Prime 11. Can anybody please help. Please see attached zip file.

This month’s challenge is about tautochrone curves and isochronous curves. They are very similar. Both involve placing an object on the curve and allowing it to slide without friction. I have a student version of Mathcad 15 that I was using years ago.Now, I want to install it on a new laptop and open my old files, but I receive an error from remote server during the installation.Can anybody help me with this process?Picture below shows the error message that I receive while trying to install the software. Thanks,

I have two calculation sheets: One is L55-529.7255, and the second one is L55-538.6610. I need to import the functions E529 and U1 into the L-55-538.6610.And the values of E529 and U1 are added to E538 and U2. All the functions are defined with matrix notation. But when I apply the command “Include” the function E529 is ok in the sum, but U1, it says “this variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly”. But if you escrow down to the last sheet in the file L55-529.7255, you can see that there are no errors and that I am able to sum E529+U1.I tried in the opposite way, importing L-55-538.6610, using “Include” into L55-529.7255 and I have the exact same error. But I cannot find what the problem is with the U1 function when this is imported in L-55-538.6610 and U2 when this is imported into L55-529.7255. I am still using the old Mathcad 11.2, despite the difficulties with the new OSes. I asked to ChatGPT for help, but I did not get any solution. I wrote (see picture) two equations, and I asked to solve for variables p and w symbolically. Afterwards - and only afterwards - however I would like to capture the symbolic solution (in this case of variable w) and turn some symbols into numeric values and make relations with just few variables like w vs. r, so to obtain a function like w(r):= etc., that  I can plot it.As can be seen from the screenshot, however, MC11.2 appears unable to assign some variables the specified values. ChatGPT suggested defining a new variable and then “optimizing” it, which I tried using wR(r):= ..., but that approach did not work either.Of course, one could simply copy and paste the solution returned by find; however, I am curious to know whether there is a way to achieve the same result avoiding such a manual intervention.Thanks in advance for any suggestions or

I am a fun of Mathcad (the classic version in my case), but far from being an expert. So sometimes I come here, but recently I often use AI chats to query for basic help. I found that ChatGPT and Claude (free plans) are probably the most responsive models in my case. But they tend to not follow always my prompts that I am still using MC11.2 old version. But there are many other AI models around.So I would be curious to know what kind of AI models new and experienced users here prefer - if they use them at all.Thanks.
