Hello,I have converted a MathCAD file from an older version of MathCAD (where it worked beautifully) to Prime 2.0. In the process of converting the primary program that calls multiple sub-programs stopped working. I thought I had successfully fixed all of the errors, but now the whole program is outlined in red and MathCAD indicates that there is an error "Unknown Error: mpl%_exception". Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? It seems as if other errors are the result of large programs running in MathCAD. Is that the case here? Input appreciated,Amanda
I am trying to make a template for my upcoming electrical examination. I am calculating the voltage drop in af transmission line and I would like to use either a matrice or a table to make it easy and eliminate the risk of faults.I have added a screen print of how I am doing it right know. I would like the fourth row in my table to be the sum of the above currents, but in the opposite direction. Is that even possible?Another thing I would like to know is if it is possible to use get the value for the area that I have marked with a circle? If needed I will upload the file to.
I have a model (compressible flow through o r i f i c e s in series) that utilizes a solve block to find the mass flow and pressures. It works great for any single point analysis. I then tried to feed it multiple flow areas as a vector and haven't gotten it to work. It's slightly unique in that I have an IF inside the solve block. I have tried to vectorize everything and rearrange the IF, all to no avail.PDF and 3.1 file attached.P.S. I know that I can rework this to use the solve block as a function and call it that way to repeat calculations. That's just not what I'm after today.P.P.S This is a dumbed-down version just to demonstrate the problem. No need to correct my physics as I know they're off.Basically, I don't think Mathcad likes this IF inside solve block when trying to solve for a vector of inputs.
I am struggling to show the result of the calculation in terms of the voltage and the phase angle (in degrees). Vp calculation is correct but it does not show the phase angle. The phase angle should be -121.4 degrees as shown on the sample calculation at the end of the works sheet. I can produce the correct result in Matlab using the rad2deg function ( [abs(Vp) rad2deg(angle(Vp))] ) but I cannot find an equivalent function in Mathcad. Any guidance gratefully received.Thank you.
I have an equation with one unknown variable which I'd like to solve for, but I get an error "No solution was found". I can make a function with the variable and it will solve for any value, but when I try to use 'solve' it finds no answer, see below. What am I doing wrong?
After the free trial period ends do the cfft and icfft functions remain enabled?
I want to have a bar identifier as bar #1 #2 #3 #4 to #11for each bar, a diameter and area.also for each a type of elastic modulus (if steel, if carbon fiber, if glass fiber, etc.)Yesterday I was told that Mathcad Prime does not offer a drop list box for this. However I was watching youtube and I noticed that using excel can be done. How can I do it and have this information somehow accessible for every calculation I perform like a tool box.for example when I choose #2 bar then I want all these properties to appear in the calculation without having me to do them all over.I would like to do these for large data sets.please advise how. Thank you
This is an enterprise installation. The animation worked when I was running Windows XP. Upgraded to Windows 7. Using the same file where animation worked with an earlier version on WinXP now nothing happens. Suggestions? Coincidentally, the 3D contour plot also stopped working. No errors in each case...just nothing.
I want to create a while loop to calculate the right compression depth ( a ) then calculate the right area of steel ( As)then Revise a then As until the tensile force = compression ( 0.85 fc a b ) = As fythank you
Hello,I'm trying to plot a Shear Force-Diagramm, but it fails at its graphical representation.Normally it should displayed like this:...but it is like this (see attachment):Can somebody help me?Thanks, Volker

The only thing that people seem to like about Mathcad Prime is its better unit handling. If my assertion is true and it is also true that Prime and MC15 are still using the Mathcad 12 kernel why not just incorporate the better unit handling in Mathcad 15? What other benefits does Prime have over MC15? If PTC. believes a MS ribbon interface is cool that's fine and they are at liberty to have ribbon version which they can use internally if that keeps them happy. So here is my solution for PTC. Get 2 good programmers for 2 months. One programmer works on incorporating the new unit handling into MC15 and the other works on incorporating the new numerical solvers. Allow a month for quality assurance and ship Mathcad 16 on August 1 2014. Every Mathcad user is happy PTC is happy also because it can continue to play with its toy version of Mathcad Prime internally and let the users concentrate on what should be in the Mathcad 17. Afterall without us there is no Mathcad, yet PTC never asks its
Has somebody an idea how to find a viewer for Android?
Hi All, I have one complicated expression, that can be plotted in time domain. However, I am not able to export the data for this expression, even though I can export the time data and some simple time domain function. Would anyone give me some suggestion that I can try to troubleshoot this problem? I am not able to upload a simplified case because the simplified cases can work. Thank you!

Hello everyone,Does anyone know if mathcad provides a function that allows us to know what are the values that have the same frequency, and the frequency too, when the mathcad "mode(A,B,...)" function returns the "multimodal" error? To be more clear, it is given the vector A, consisting of N elements with random values included within certain limits, I want a function that let me know what are the elements of A that have the same statistical frequency, and what is the statistical frequency, since the mathcad 15 function "mode(A)" returns "mutimodal error" if in the vector there are more than one value with the same statistical frequency.Thank youFM
Hi all,I have had a look through previous posts on here and couldn't find anything that would do the job so thought I would ask. I am trying to turn a vector of nested vectors (can each be different sizes) into one single vector, as per the attached Mathcad sheet.I'm sure this is possible but so far the answer is managing to elude me!Thanks for much
Hallo,i have a Problem i need to solve fast 😞Problem:Density is a function of pressure and temperatureI can create a cloud of points for the density: TemperaturePressure 100° 200° 300° 100bar Density Density 200 bar 300 bar etc My problem is now, how c
I'm using Mathcad Prime 2.0 and am pretty sure the feature to highlight redefined variables is not there. Is it in a later version, or planned for a future version?

When I define real numbers and try to use it in an array I get the message that one of the symbols needs to be a real number, They are all real numbers. See attached Mathcad file Example. What am I doing incorrectly?
New to MathCAD and running into all kinds of issues regarding if statements and range variables... my first problem is that x never seems to be defined anywhere and I believe I have defined it as a range variable (i could be wrong) and since x is never defined nothing is being evaluated. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated
How do I get Prime 3.1 to make use of WaterSteamPro? I see from various postings that it does now work, but I can't get it to work; I get "Variable not defined" whenever I try to use a WSP function.I have copied wspmcad.dll from the Mathcad 15 userefi folder into the PTC\Mathcad Prime 3.1\Custom Functions folder. Is that correct? Is there enything else or different that I should be doing? It worked for CoolProps, but seemingly not for WaterSteamPro.I tried Prime at version 1, but gave up in disgust. This is my first time to use Prime since then. I am probably making some fundamental mistake. But I see a couple of postings by Valery Ochkov showing WaterSteamPro working in Prime 3.0 (eg messages #222892), so I know it should be possible.
