i got some  questions,  if someone would answer them, I would appreciate it very much.well there something called nonlinear programming with constraints and also without them, i've been searching in here how to solve this type of problem but what i found wasn't exactly what i was expecting.for example: if i want to optimise (minimize or minimize o just find a solution that fits) a variable of  a single function, a system of equations or a system of differential equations. How can i make it?  there is a sheet attached  with the different types of problem i mentioned.

Hey guys!Im working on Mathcad 15 and i want to know when there is a usable version of Prime is coming out?Is there a Mathcad 16 maybe coming? Or which version of Prime has the same features as Mathcad 15?Im satisfied with mathcad 15 but im not satisfied with the office functionality. Is there an add on or packagewhich adds moore office to mathcad? (Content Page, better writing form)The usability of Prime looks good to me but the mathematical stuff behind is not the mathcad i know.Which real alternative out there is possible with an symbolic fomula input units and office functionality?Best thx,Stefan

I have a bunch of images I would like analyzed for a specific "shape_feature".  I would prefer not to have to point to each one individually.  I would like to write a little program (in Mathcad) that points to a directory, does the image processing and gets the "shape_feature" I want and then goes to the next image in the directory.  I think I know how to do this except I don't know how to have Mathcad point to a directory and look at all the files in the directory.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all.  Here's my question.  I would like to be able to line fit an iso-line.  Mathcad clearly can generate the data for the iso-line since it plots it on a contour plot.  Is there a way to get the coordinates of the iso-line so that I can fit it to calculate the y-intercept? Or maybe there's a completely different way to solve this problem.  Attached is the Prime 3.1 file and pdf that will explain what I'm after more clearly.Basically I'm trying to generate the red lines I've overlaid here (with a paint program)

In Prime 3.1 symbolic evaluation of d (sin(6) x)/dx yields sin(6) (x), while I expected sin(6).What did I misunderstand?/Henning

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered. I did look I want to enter a long expression and have it wrap so that it stays within the page margins.In older versions of MC one could use control-enter to wrap to the next line but that does not seem to work in MathCAD Prime...Is there a way to create a multiline expression in MC Prime?--D

I want to create a "drop down list" with steel profiles in order that after i choose the profile, it automatically generates it's respective properties like Area A , Moment of inertia  I.x and I.y , etc...

I have been running MathCad 14 with Windows 10. Print Preview was working but now when I try to use Print Preview it crashes and MathCad shuts down. I tried repairing the installation but this did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know of a good way to pass temperatures into an Excel component? The method of "stripping" the units by dividing by the units doesn't seem to work with temperatures. The workarounds I can think of are not very elegant. Thanks!

Hello.. Apologies if this appears twice. I tried to post a question yesterday but it did not go through.I am new to Mathcad so I am sure this is a trivial question for the experts.I am building a program which manipulates a bunch of 1x400 vector arrays then integrates 2 of the arrays (Runge-Kutta). The final result of one of the integrations is then minimized with respect to frequency. No problem with minimizing a simple analytic function, but I must have a bad syntax here.So I built a simple exercize below to make it easier to see my mistake.GivenWhere am I going wrong?Thanks, Al

Hi, I am trying to create a mathcad file with another mathcad file as a reference.I have test1 file with test2 as a reference using the relative file path. I am trying to pass a=3 from test1 to test2. it works when I first create the variables, however, the variable doesn't update unless I close and reopen the sheets. I already tried the recalculate button.Is this a bug or is there some problem with the way I am doing it?  Thanks

Hi,first of all sorry for my poor English.I've a little trouble with mathcad usage; for sure is a silly question but this is my very first approach to function programming.i've three vector (not range variables) filled with symbolics value only in some position and zero valuein others.This came because i've specified some value of interest of the vectors like for example :vect_1(13):= v1+v2           (of course with right  mathcad syntax..here i can't write pedix - not literal pedix of course)vect_1(38):=v1-v2           (in general each element is a function of v1 v2.. vn coordinates)so mathcad create a vector "vect_1" filling the place at 13 and 38 with my desidered symbolic values ; set zero in other place.With these 3 vector now i've to cycle and , for each element ,i  want to store in other new vector the result of this formula:result(i) = 0.5 * vect_1(i)^2  * vect_2(i
