Mathcad

Hi..I want to make some use cases to implement Mathcad Gateway in our Automotive industry, so i tired to get some more information about mathcad gateway from PTC but not getting that much information as its a new software so no more people is aware about this. So if anyone implemented it then need some help to make proper use case. and before to purchase license can i get a 30 days trial to test it.Regards,Prashant Pandarkar

When I print from Prime 3.0 or 3.1 some of my pages or areas are shifted to the left about 1/2" and the first characters are cut off.  Occasionally an area will also get shifted up a tad.  Often I'll get something like (for example) page 1 is fine, the continuation of the area onto page 2 is shifted left, while the next area on page 2 is fine.  Or sometimes areas 1,2, and 4 are fine but area 3 is shifted left.   I can't seem to eliminate this problems.  It happens whether I print to a printer, pdf or xps.  Is there a way around this? I have recently upgraded to Mathcad Prime 3.1 and I have noticed that it is impossible to insert Mathcad Objects into Microsoft Word (2013).This feature worked fine in Mathcad 15.0. Why is it gone now? Maybe I am doing something wrong.Thanks in advance,Adam

Hi,I usually work with range variables. I don't know how to work with the results from the Mathcad State Space ODE Solver. They are in a matrix. I want to subtract the results from the state space solver from results of a calculation using range variables. Moreover, I calculated displacement using range variables and want to compare that to the displacement calculated with the state space solver. Some sort of conversion is needed but I can't figure it out.Thanks for your help.Update 1; I found one work around but it's pretty brutal. You can't seem to do derivatives on vectors. So I had to brute force things a bit too much for my taste. Hopefully, the experts here will have better ideas. I updated the attachments to this post.Update 2; I figured it out. I used what I learned from the 'problem (2)' file and applied that to the updated 'problem (1)' file. Much more elegant fix.

In Denmark we use comma instead of dot in math calculation. Is there someone who can fix it ? So i have a comma instead ?Jesper

Hello, Community.I have a question connected with hydrodynamics and natural circulation.As you know, in such systems water changes its state to steam and moving upwards the pipe without pumps.You can see the photo of the system in my post.The problem is in water tank(water is in normal condition) which is located higher.There is a system of 140 tubes inside; it is not so easy to find an equation which will show where the steam(temperature is about 202 degrees,16 bars) becomes water during the process of condensation(i.e temperature distributions in pipes). Pipe pattern is not so important.In addition, defining the preferences of water in downward pipe is complicated either.If you have an experience with such problems (maybe even templates), I will appreciate your help.Thank you for the attention!

Hello,I'm trying to plot a function from Hibbeler Mechanics of Materials in Mathcad Prime 3.0 but I'm not getting any results.I put in a figure for P (15N) and for A (100mm^2). So the bar on top of the page isn't rectangular but square (10x10mm)Theta = 30deg is not producing any result.Somewhat below on the right I tried to list all theta angles from 90deg to 0deg: no result.Obviously I do something wrong here. Just installed V15. I was told I could download the E-Books (primarily the Mechanical eng. library. ie: Roark's Hickey etc) I followed the link in the getting started guide but with no success.... Can anyone help? it appears the documents you get are less than helpful..Wade

Recently i have used MathCad prime to solve Calermann linearization to transfom a non linear ssystem of differential equations to a linear state equation and mainly i mam studying triangular upper systems. HAve someone interst in this??

Hi,I have upgraded Mathcad 15 to the latest version of Mathcad 15 - (M045 [MC15_M045_20151202]) and discovered that a feature of the Windows 7 Professional operating system is preventing me from Inserting Word docs into Mathcad.  Also Word text blocks within a Mathcad 15 program cannot be edited or opened.  The "feature" that seems to be a cause is USER ACCOUNT CONTROLS (under control panel).  When I set it to NEVER I can edit and insert Word files and text blocks.  The IT department has deemed that USER ACCOUNT CONTROLS be turned on however so after a while - 1/2 day the feature turns itself back on and I am stuck again.  What can be done? The previous version of 15 did not have a problem with USER ACCOUNT CONTROLS being ON.  I like this newest version because it seems a more stable (less likely to crash) so don't want to go back.David Born

Hello,I have to create a large matcad-document under prime 3 und want to devide it into numbered chapters. Is there something like a MS-Word chaptering, so that an insert between existing chapters would renumber the old chapters.Or what is the preferred method to get numbered headlines?

Sorry if this question might seem trivial or a repetition but here is my question:I will use a simple function to explain my problem -  If I have a function say f(x) = x^3+20x+20. And x is a range variable e.g x=2,4,6....20. If I plot in Mathcad the function f(x) vs x, I get a polynomial curve. Now, If I say, f(x) = 22.375 is a fixed limiting value for which I want to know the value of x at this limiting value of f(x), how do I tell Mathcad to give me this value of x for which f(x)=22.375. Is there a program or Mathcad function that I can write for Mathcad to solve this for me.I have given a very simple function to explain my problem but the function which I am dealing with is much more complex. Hey,maybe anyone can help me.During Readexcel of a column i encountered an error.I have the columns in excel via a when function so that: when(A1=0;"";A1) ----> Need a NaN in mathcad when the column in Excel shows a zero.THe problem is the vector in mathcad is not NaN it is ""And when i want to do a  max function mathcad encounters an error.So i would need a NaN so that i can calculate with the vector something.Now, how can i manage the function in excel so that in Mathcad the empty cells are regognised as NaN so that i can calculate somthing with it.I dont know how i can do the function in excel.Best thx ,Stefan
