I can hardly believe that I did not ran into this bug in the past. Or maybe I am blind and doing something wrong? Why is the horizontal base line if the second triangle not drawn in the combined plot? IMHO it should work (and I hesitate to say so, but it actually works OK in Prime). Has anybody already experienced that bug? Has anybody an explanation (other than "buggy programmed" 🙂 Has anybody an idea for a workaround? I thought that using complex numbers may be a way to get what I want, but, alas, to no avail! BTW, the problem goes away if the tringles don't share the common point (1;1). More precise: The problem seems to be that the last point of the first triangle is the very same as the first point of the second one. Sure in this simple example the order of the points could be changed to circumvent the problem, but in an automatically created list of a larger number of different shapes this seems not to be an inviting option. Any ideas are welcome. Mathcad 15 file attached &nb
Can someone help me to convert this file in mathcad 2020(mcdx)?
I am trying to create a template for my company using Mathcad Prime 7.0.In the template I need to create excel parts in order to reproduce some tables. I have used the command insert object. The problem that I am facing is that the resolution in the final document once saved in pdf is not great, I should say it is quite poor. In addition, if I close the excel file and I open it again to add additional parts once close it doesn’t show the new parts in the Mathcad page. Is there a way to solve these issues?
I find very good puzzle from YouTube and show it. Then I made new puzzle to find the number of rectangles of stair-like figures shown here. How to calculate the total number of rectangles included in this figure? I have no formula to calculate this answer, now. First one, m=3 has 11 rectangles. Second one, m=5 may have 54 rectangles. How about m=7 and m=9?
I have an equation that has 3 real, numerical solutions. I'd like to have the symbolic solutions for the values of wo which are positive. I think the symbolic expression i'm after is actually only the 2nd numerical solution 0.4897... Mathcad finds a symbolic solution, but I don't know how to interpret the result or to use it. Worksheet attached... Many thanks for any help!
I am getting again the same problem where in it states the units are not compatible
Hi, I have created some scripts to change some inputs in Mathcad and read the Output fields but I am finding troubles as the file is not fully updated when I read the outputs. I am trying to calculate with Syncronize() but overwrite my inputs and I would like to save the file but I am not finding the way. Thank you
I am a student and have already used the 30 days of trial for Prime 8.0 I need to convert a template from my professor that is an .xmcd file. I cant convert it because I do not have the full version and I am not about to spend $60 to convert one file. Can you guys help me get this file converted so that I can open it on Prime 8.0 please>
In an equation, the horizontal line between a numerator and a denominator is called the vinculum. In working my analysis using Mathcad Express V8, in some defined variables, the vinculum is greyed out while the rest is normal. Another defined variable right above it is normal. The font type, size, and color are both the same.
Hi, People here on the forum helped me define a PWM controller, in the past. I made a tweak to that formula, so that it starts at zero. However, I've noticed there is a weird issue with Mathcad. If you look at two cycles, it will be off when it should still be on. This happens on the second cycle. It turns off one time step too soon. However, it's random and depends on the duty cycle entered. I'm wondering if there is another way to define this, so that this issue can be avoided. I've messed around with it as much as I can but have reached a dead end. Thanks, Anthony
Why we have not in Prime this unit as energy and temperature unit? The inventor of Mathcad - the nuclear physicist Allen Razdow would also be unhappy with this. SMath has!
hi, i seem to have run into a bug with mathcad 15 plotting. i'm sure there is a way around it. however, i don't know how to do it. i put the question in the file. it's near the bottom of the file. i think there needs to be an if statement that checks to see if both elements of the matrix are negative. if so, make them positive. the matrix with the problem is called 'mode1'. sorry, the file is kind of a mess right now. i want to clean it up and post it as an update to a very old thread on here. i was able to take something someone posted 'pre mathcad 15' and get it working with mathcad 15. however, i wanted to get this plotting glitch fixed before i did that. i also found that a number of the eigenvalue and eigenvector functions have bugs as well. luckily, the ones i used in this file seem to work good. thanks, anthony
That is the mistake //Mathcad 14
Hi, I'm new to mathcad and can't seem to use an old file to the new Prime 8.0. Can anyone please help me convert the file so that I can run it in the prime? Or any online converter that I can use?
Hello, Mathcad Version 8.0.0.0 I am trying to assign the results of a symbolically solved equation to a variable so I can use that value later in my Mathcad sheet. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have included an example sheet of the problem I am facing. As background, the reviewing parties for our calculations are used to hand calculations so I am trying to stick to the formatting in my attached sheet as it is very similar to how you would write this problem up by hand. Unfortunately, some people are stuck in their ways. Thanks!
I have just noticed that the lower case φ is on a different key than the capital Φ. Is this on purpose? Has anybody noticed other mismatches? Raiko P.S. Running Prime 8 on a Win 10 machine
Is it possible to keep on adding output of excel files with change in output to one single output file? For e.g. there is a input file which provides the data and evaluating the worksheet will give excel output. What I want to have is when the input is changes it overwrites the excel output but i ant to have the calculation written in next row of excel document like it used to do in Mathcad 15. I tried but could not achieve it. Can someone please share the sample worksheet with this behavior? Austin
I seem to have found a bug in Prime 4.0. When specifying an array of 4767 elements it stops working. But only if the program is defined as [a b]:=, it works fine if it's a:=. This picture explains it better than I can. So, I have a work around, but my questions are: a.) It's a bug, right? b.) Any reason why it would do that? Thanks,
Hi, Everyone. From the following: How to solve, the Matrix [3x3] ? Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
Hi, Everyone. From the following: The question is: How to find the solution [ A B C ] ?Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
I have the following scriptSo, C is a vector with symbolic equations, and q is the vector with symbols. Now I would like to solve for q. However, that does not seem the work. Is there a way to make this work?

Hello Experts, When I am trying to use summation instead of giving one single value it is giving me table as output can someone please help
Hi, newbie here.As now, in midst preparing the power cable ampacity calculation, somehow, required loop calculation process at the end section. Here it goes.1) Assume the θsc (pic 1)2) Then several calculation in the middle to get the ampacity value. (pic 2)3) Once current (I) value obtained, the θsc required to be calculated as per red mark above. 4) When θsc calculated, it required to be linked and to be used as input in item (1) above (and so on until) the θsc in item 1 and item 2 comes with 0 difference.5) Calculation sheet as attached. Thanks.
Hello,In mathcad-15, Is there away i can get it to display yield mode (Z1m, Z1s, ZII, ZIIIm,ZIIIs...) that associated with or corresponding to the smallest value? For example, when ts=0.125, the smallest value is (198), so the yield mode (ZIIIs), and when ts=0.313, the yield mode corresponding to the smallest value (231) is (ZIV) and so on. Thank you,Sam
