Hi,a very simple problem:I want to flip a vector, that means reverse the sequence of its elements for example (1,2,3) --> (3,2,1). I tried several methods, none works really. The problem is, the result vector seems to be ok, but if I use it in other expressions together with the vectorize operator MathCad says always this value has to be a vector.I am using Prime 3.0. Thanks
After conversion of a Mathcad 15 worksheet, the plot was missing plot title, axes labels, and gridlines (see the attachment). Is there any way to obtain on Prime an "engineering looking plot" as in the original Mathcad plot instead of the converted "high school" plot stripped of the original features. I would be grateful for any pointers.
Trying to plot some protection relay characteristics. Please see attached failure Could be box quad or even boxes with bits cut out.
Hello,I'd like to combine the load array with deflection array using augment. I am getting an error. It is MathCAD 15.Thank you for you help,Sam
Hi. I am trying to set ranges of variables in a plot in Mathcad prime v.7.0. But it is really difficult for me. Can you give me some advice? Thank you so much.
Can somebody help me on how to implement the frequency response calculation and graphic plot of Fourier Transform and Laplace Transform in our Mathcad tool ?looking for sample file for example with explanation! Frank
Does anyone know where I could get copies of the PTC MATHCAD 15 worksheets (libraries / Roark's etc)Im happy to pay etc but the PTC website says they no longer do these. Thanks all
I'm trying to solve the problem of a chain with a load. Why is there no vertical balance of power? See pls Matcad 6 and 15 in attach. See the word Why??? in sheets.
Hello, I'm new on mathcad; I'm trying to repeat a physics exercise founded online.I think It was builded using an old version. My firest problem is the F assignation: as far I have understood, in the picture values from table are assigned to F. If I try to do that I get a red square mark as missing value for F.What am I missing?
I am mystified by prime. I am trying learn in small steps. I have attached a file . I have attached a file but not why it works. The units seem very screwy. Any help would be appreciated. Also how do i create a unit in prime and when would I want to do so ?
I am new to prime can someone help me with the plot in the file attached?
I had a similar problem but was quite confused to deal with it. It would be great if you can help me solve it.Please take a look attached file from steps 5 to 9. I'm trying to find "cN and cP" by iteration (It ranges from 0 to tH). Please help me give a solution for it. Thank you so much.
Hi, I want Mathcad to display me units in °C/W but it keeps reverting into base units. So after that I thought to myself to create a unit named CpW but it does not matter it will keep switching into base units. I've seen this post on the forum. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Mathcad-Prime-5-0-automatically-converts-my-defined-units-to/m-p/618572 But it does not seems like I can change the base unit inside the matrix TTIsmaj when I display the result, Any idea on how can I do this ? Thanks
Hello, I've reached a point on my calculation where I'm stumped and I'm hoping one of you can help. I'm admittedly not the most knowledgeable when it comes to solve blocks. I'm attempting to find the biaxial bending moment of the column/pedestal and cannot get the solve block to find the correct answer. I've tried different iterations of the solve block where I've defined every constraint, but I've wittled it down for this worksheet. Essentially, I'm looking for a point where the axial force and moment ratios are equal in the column. I've attached my worksheet. Any guidance you guys would have would be appeciated!
I have a vector [A], which can have any number of even rows and will contain only zeros or ones in each element. I would then like to create another vector [B], which will always have one more than half the number of rows in [A]. The top row element of [B] is always 1, and the following elements depend on the corresponding pairs of elements in [A], working from top to bottom. The element of [B] should be zero only if both the corresponding two elements of [A] are zero, otherwise it should be one. Something like this for a 4 row [A] and 3 row [B]: And for a 6 row [A] and 4 row [B]: Hopefully someone can help me out! Thanks.
Hi All.Our firm has two full Mathcad Prime licences, however, would like to use the unit conversion on another computer. We think of having the free Mathcad Express on the third PC, but we are puzzled if it's free for commercial use also.Could someone please clarify? Thanks
As per the original post. Hi, Can someone please help me convert the files in this folder to MathCad Prime 7 files? Thanks!
I'm checking a students results and for some reason his result has vector of "[1 x 1]" instead of showing the element values of this simple 3 element vector. I disabled the students and entered the equation myself (in red) and it shows correct results (except they are still inside square brackets for some reason. Whats the deal?
Hi , Kindly suggest where to find the Edit script( script editor ) option in Mathcad prime 8; which was earlier available in insert menu under control tab in Mathcad 15Have attached images for reference below1.2.3.
Hi Folks, This is probably an easy one. Is there any way to suppress the labels for solve blocks, or at least rotate them so they aren't such a mess? The solve block works fine, but I don't want to use this in a presentation. The examples in the documentation don't have the labels off to the left, so there must be some way to turn them off. Thanks 😉
I'm building a matrix where the off-diagonals are equal (e.g. M(1,3) = M(3,1) etc.). Is there a way to reference the M(1,3) to populate the M(3,1) element? That way I would just need to populate the diagonal and upper triangle and below the diagonal would be completed. thanks, russ
Hi, I am new to Mathcad and in the self learning stages. I am trying to plot a graph and getting the following errors: values in the axes must be real numbers or expressions. Can somebody guide me?
Hi Folks, I'm trying to do 3D plots in Prime 7 to show my students. The contour plots appear correct on the screen, but the 3D plots (surface plots) don't. They look OK when I save to PDF, though. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? PDF and screen shot are attached. Also, only the quick plot function seems to do 3D plots. Am I missing something? 3D plotting in V15 worked at least as well as this. Mark
When the load is not very heavy - everything seems to be OK - see the first file. When the load is heavy, the center of gravity of the right section of the rope is in that place. Why? Send me please pictures with errors - not only Mathcad sheets!
Hi I am trying to solve system of 2 ODE as shown below. I am unable to find out the issue. The error happens when I m trying to relate the first ode to the second one. I am getting error as "Unknown error: ode% _function% _illegal % _context. Please help!
