Mathcad

Hi everybody,   I have very large scripts (150 pages) in Mathcad 15 and it is sometimes very hard to find the error in the script. Moreover, some calculated values do not influence the rest of the calculations and I might not even notice that there is an error somewhere. Is there a value that I could read out which indicates that an error has occured somewhere in the script? Preferably, I would like to have an indication at the end of the script which shows that no calculation ended in an error. Is that possible?   Thank you for your help!

Hello! I just installed Mathcad Prime 5 on my computer two days ago and started working on a file. The first two days it was working perfectly, but today when I tried opening the file I got an error message stating that the type of file is not supported. I haven't made any updates since working on the file yesterday. I still need the content of the file and I am also wondering why this happened. I have attached the file. I am new to using Mathcad and I am hoping that someone can help me. (I am working on a MacBook with Windows running via Bootcamp). Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,   my colleagues and I are trying to solve a dynamic problem. We had to plot this graph by using column vectors for each parameter. So each angle (alpha_B; alpha_C, alpha_zyl ) in this plot is shown as a function of alpha_H1.Now we want to figure out how the mathematical function of these plots roughly looks like. Is there any quick operation we can use that shows us how the functions alpha_B (alpha_H1); alpha_C(alpha_H1) and alpha_zyl(alpha_H1) look like?Best regards from Germany!Have a great week!

Dear All, I'm using Mathcad Prime to solve an electronics problem. I want to calculate the potential difference between node p and n. I have equations for Vp and Vn. However I cannot solve Vp-Vn without having Vp or Vn in the result? In Mathcad 15 this is simply done with "given-find" structure, but this isn't present in Mathcad Prime?      

I really appreciate it if someone can help me to double check the following equation by running my sheet in their Mathcad. It is because the result that I got is the opposite with the result in the paper where the equation comes from.   The decreasing result at small w comes from this part. hi all,  title  (hopefully) says it all.  I have several data sets.  Each one will be fit the to the same fit function and the sets will share some, but not all, of the fit variables. I have a clumsy attempt at this in the attached sheet (Prime 4.0 along with excel data).  I basically use "minimize" to minimize a standard error expression which has several fit expressions in it (one for each data set).  The problem is that the resulting fit values are nearly identical to the initial guesses!  I've tried reducing the TOL but that doesn't help.   cheers, blake

Hey guys,   I'm new in Mathcad and I'm doing my thesis now. I have some trouble finding how to do iteration in Mathcad. So in my file, I have a reactor of 250 m. And I want to know how the concentration changes. But, I want the simulation to run for >1 cycle. Which means I have to define a way to make the Cout (concentration out) from previous cycle, as a value for the Cin(2) concentration in of the next cycle. These are for both liquid and gas concentration.   So in summary I want to make a loop of : COlin (x+1) = COlout (x) COgin (x+1) = COgout (x) + COgin (x)   Help guys 😞 Thank you in advance

I have a worksheet that perfectly worked without units, but when I try to insert units RKfixed says that there are still units although I believe I stripped them all. Would someone be so kind to check what I did overlook?

Hello, When I try to move equations on the page to make page breaks come in convenient positions, everything goes haywire in Prime 5.  If I select a group of equations and (say) try to align the first one with the top of a page, sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't go where I drop it, but almost invariably some of the unselected equations on the page also move.  It makes it impossible to get everything simultaneously in a nice position. What's going on and how can I fix it? Thanks. Neil

Now my function ( set of calculations) is in another sheet ( Say B.xmcd )..Now i need to pass the inputs from A.xcmd to B.xcmd and receive the ouput from B to A .Say we have a very simple program in A.xcmdinputx= 3Functionf=cube (x)B.xcmdx1=xvalue = x1*x1*x1return(value)The above stated are not exactly the syntax but a pseudo code .How do i link A nd B from A ???

Hello folks,   I have an Excel sheet in which caloric properties for real gas are calculated. One of the values is only delivered when a VB code is executed in Excel. I strongly suspect that these are in a data map of sorts which is what I'm after. Since I can't access this table (the guy who created this sheet has left long since) I'd like to "push" the appropiate button in Excel from a Mathcad loop repeatedly and read out the data in a specific cell. Does anybody know whether this is feasible?   Raiko

please see attached file. i am trying to use the MINIMIZE function to find both the minimum value of the absolute function and the corresponding variable. as a result this variable would be a function of the remaining variable(s). i tried this with the ROOT function and it works. not sure why it would not work for MINIMIZE function. any help is very appreciated. thanks!

Hello Friends, I want to know the solution of the given below equation using Mathcad Prime 3.1. In above equation, two variable i.e. Phi. & Zeta is given but need to find out Psi. There is a figure given for reference which tells the relation in these variable as attache herein post.   Can anyone tell me how to calculate Psi using the given references and also if I need to plot it, then how can it be achived.   Thanks, Yogesh

I have been looking through the license information and contacted support, but neither gave me the specific answer to my question: Does the one year limitation for the student version extend to the Prime 5 product only or include MCAD 15 (050) as well? I even looked at the license file but couldn't decipher my answer from it. A little background: I had a previous student version (045) installed and on disc but lost the disc and the computer wiped. So with some time, and need, remaining on my student eligibility, decided to purchase 15 again (I don't much care for the Primes). I understood the license time limitation but would have enjoyed keeping 15 for home use. Again, it isn’t clear that when the prime 5 license expires that it takes the 15 one down with it. Maybe I should consider SMath when a year passes/eligibility is gone?
