Hello to all!Tonight I am working on what should be a simple problem as below:I know that from my reading material I have been given that:So for my simple triangle problem I have started by defining y (assuming that y is symmetric about x as:I have then integrated using the given forumula for JT but I am not coming up with the model answer of 1/48*B^3*H I am instead getting H to the power of 4? Which is a reoccurring problem...Following the question I have used the same approach for JoL and JL given that these are defined as:NB JL is the only answer I get spot on but only by using the given answer for JoL not the one I have calculated.Further if anyone can elaborate as to how J1L would be derived for a base of x=H? The given answer seems to be the answer for JoL for a rectangular shape?As always your help is greatly appreciated.Andy

Hi guys! I am a totally beginner in MathCAD and trying to solve a system of two equations.   On one hand I have volume as a function of Pressure (V=f(Ps)) and other known parameters. Then I have two equations of compressor Head, one as a function of Ps (and other known parameters) and the other as a function of Volume again. So I could equal both equations of Head and have one equation with two variables V and Ps.   The thing is I can't find how to find Ps and/or V to satisfy the equations... Many thanks.

In Mathcad 15 it takes one minute to open excel component... with office 365 In old version it took 1 sec. Very frustrating, Any solution? Thank you

Hello everyone,   I am getting the following error when trying to run Mathcad with my .dat license. I have tried running the wizard and selecting the .dat I originally had. I also tried the .txt file that I got emailed to me when i "retrieved my license" on the PTC website. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I am not very familiar with this program so I apologize if this seems simple.   Thanks, Rob

Hello,  I have been trying to solve this problem below using MathCAD. Yet I could not do it. Kinda stuck in here.

After working on a Mathcad file for more than 2 months and for a design job I am doing, I tried to open the file today, but it won't open at all.I tried from several computers.Every time I get a message saying:The file type is not supported. Log file is located at...etcI have not updated the tile type. So obviously the software corrupted the file last time it was saving it or so.Now how do I retrieve 2 months worth of work?I was going to negotiate with my management to upgrade to a paid version of Mathcad and use it as the standard tool for all our calculations. But now I don't trust it.Please advise how to retrieve the file contents.thanks
