As a user in Mathcad 15 and below, I know how to setup the default unit system for mathcad worksheet. For instance, Length = inch, time = s mass = lb force = lbf, pressure = psi. When I calculate such as Force/ Area, the unit of the answer is psi.When I try to do a very simple test in Prime 4, the unit always is always wrong..How can I do the same task in Mathcad Prime?

Hi All, I have a question regarding using the if condition inside the "add line" block, would anyone help me about this?My target is to assign a value to the parameter "c_calculated". If logic=1, I want to use an equation to calculate the variable "c_calculated". If logic=0, I want to assign a number "c_initial" to the variable "c_calculated" . However, it seems like Mathcad does not allow me to do it in the way showing below. Would anyone tell me what is wrong with this?Thank you!

I want to use lookup information to find the closest information from the array based on the calculation results. However, it seems like the guides in PTC Mathcad Help cannot really solve my problem. hi all,I'm fitting data to an expression in Prime 2.  i'm formulated the fit usinggenfitleastsquaresfitminimize (SSE...)issues:genfit is fast but I need to implement constraints.leastsquaresfit is reasonably fast but the results don't quite match the other two methods.minimize results match genfit but it's wicked slow to converge.questions- why is leastsquares not matching genfit or minimize?- can I speed up minimize?

Hi All, I have a variable with selection menu in the middle of a worksheet. Ideally, the default initial selected value should come from the calculation of a previously calculated number (which depends on the previous calculation).Would anyone teach me how can I add a button or do some operation to set up the initialization of the selection table? When I got Prime 4 I also bought one of the worksheet add-ons, but cannot find a way to access them within the program other than directly opening the document like I would a file I'm working on. Is there ebook functionality to the use of worksheets like there is in MC 15 where they are part of the help system and may be viewed alongside your working document in a separate window? Or capability close to this? If not, what is the intended approach for their use? (I'm use to MC v14 handbooks and quicksheets and wondering if that functionality is reproduced in any fashion in Prime 4).TIADavid

HiI am wondering wether or not you can calculate FEM matrixes with units, does anyone have any experience with that?The main issue I am stuck at is when you need to take the inverse of a matrix with mixed units, then you'll get into trouble...Would be really sweet if you could calculate them with units though any ideas on how to?I have attached a file exampleBest regardsMartin

Hi!I have a solving problem with the numerical solver.As you can see in the sketch, i have a heavy tube which is held with two steel-strings. The fixing point of the tube is not in the middle.Now I'm searching for the forces, angles, and the length change of the strings accounting the hooke's Law, the geometrical relations and static equilibrium.So far, so good.When changing the guess-values of the angles i get different results, what should not be.What is going wrong here?Any help is appreciated.Thank you, best regards, VolkerI'm working with MP4.

Hello,When I translate a Mathcad15 worksheet into a Mathcad Prime worksheet, it puts these red arrows and lines in there, which can be removed using the clear annotations command.What do these annotations mean? I don't want to simply clear them and ignore them if they are really important, and pointing to some problem or flaw

Hi All, I have a 4th order equation for an unknown parameter. The equation includes some constants whose number depends on the external setting. The parameter must be a positive real number. In the attachment, I listed two possible symbolic solutions k2_1 and k2_2. How can I set the if else condition correctly to achieve the following requirement?(1) if both k2_1 and k2_2 are real and positive, show both of them as the solution of k2(2) if only one of k2_1 and k2_2 is real and positive show this real number(3) if neither k2_1 or k2_2 can satisfy the positive real condition, show an error messageThank you!

Hi All,I am trying to get a skewed bell curve to represent a chemical in a reaction via an equation. This first bell curve will be subtracted from another skewed bell curve that represents a second chemical in the reaction. I have tried many equation types and have settled on the one that I am currently using. The trouble is that I cannot manipulate the equation variables enough to attain the configuration that is needed. Would you all inspect my equation and advise me on whether it can be edited to fit the Benchmark dots on the graph. Maybe another variable can be inserted into the equation? If, not, can you recommend a new equation? The curve slopes are not as critically important as the start, finish, and peak positions and values.As of now, the starting(blue) and finishing(cyan) points are good. It is the peak(green) that must move to the right without sacrificing the other positions.All help is very appreciated.Thank you,GaryMathcad 11
