Hello mathcad users. I have a problem in mathcad. I don't know how to make a graphic. I need a graphic like in this photo, red curve. Is symmetrical. Up to half, the graph consists of two functions. I attach a file. I don't know how to reverse the graph of second function and after this, how to built simmetrycal graph. I don't know if i was very explicit. If you need other details, say please. How can I download matchcad 15, if I have already the license for PTC Mathcad Prime 3.1 with the possibilty to have also mathcad 15?

HiI have this beam that i have i shared in two sections. I have determined the equations for normal, shear and moment. Now I want to draw them in Mathcad but I don't understand how to do it. Hi everyone,I'm currently using Mathcad 14 and I think there is a problem in the software about the integration calcul.I define a function as a density of probability, so its integral should be 1, but I don't get 1 with some certain bounds. In the picture I have enclosed to the question, you can see that when I integrate a normal law of parameters (μ=100,σ=1) on the interval [90,110], the result is 1. But when I integrate the same function on the interval [0,∞[, the result is 0.Does anyone has already faced this problem ? Do you know if there is a patch to correct this mistake ?TIA for your answers guys.Yvan

Hello everybody. I encountered a problem when trying to plot the dependence of the flight speed of the "union" rocket on time. The program may not be perfect, but so far the main problem that I see is the scalar "h" that appears when using the function. I hope for your help in this matter. Thank you !

Hallo,as for now im still working with mathcad 15 and now i have the problem that i can only copy every mathcad calculation site into word by marking everything and paste in as a bitmap because new word versions doesnt recognise the calculation format properly. So i need to work with an old ms office version.Is there a solution?Is the new Prime 4.0 now a good alternative to the good but old mathcad 15?Thx Stefan

I've been a long-time user of Mathcad (since before it was a Windows application -- I think it was version 2!) and long enjoyed the simplicity of it's interface. PROBLEM 1 - Erroneous symbolic calculations (multiple examples)I just bought MC Prime 4 and was testing some calculations in Prime 4 versus v15 and v13 and came across several disappointments -- errors in MC 15 and MC Prime 4 that MC 13 handles with aplomb. Perhaps I've made some mistakes, but I post this message for any helpful support understanding what's wrong from experienced folks who've been using the products regularly, hopefully to understand my mistakes, if I've made any.Note that in EVERY symbolic calculation issue I outline below, I have no problem with the calculation in MC v13. can anyone help? i want to transfer my mathcad 15 license to another computer, however when i use the license transfer function/reconfigure tool the mathcad 15 doesn't show up in the license report and isn't listed as an option to transfer (only my Prime Licenses). is there any other way to transfer the license to another machine?

Hello,I seem to be having an issue regarding if/then statements in regards to Mathcad not recognizing my the initial "if" statement due to an error in my "else if" statement.When x does not equal 0, I get an answer.However, when x does equal 0, I get "can't divide by zero" error, and the program does not recognize that the first statement is true an should report the respective value.Is there anyway to get around the zero in the denominator error? I know it's probably an easy fix, but I can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks,C

Hello again friends,I have what is hopefully a simple headache in integration.I am looking at the below and attached.In yellow is the integral I am trying to work out manually as I need to be able to do this in a manual way. I have tried a 'nifty' short cut in red but this is way off.Then I have tried integrating without the upper and lower limits of the integral by rearranging, expanding the brackets, then integrating. Then replacing z for -T and resolving. Although this gives me an answer with a extra 5 in the numerator?Any ideas where I am going wrong?A

In MathCAD 14 I am attempting to find the maximum absolute value in a vector that contains positive and negative numbers. With only positve numbers in the vector this works to determine the maximum value: max(vector)=With positive and negative values I have tried putting the vector in absolute value bars within the max function like this:max([vector])=but the answer is strange and is larger than the aboslute value of any of the entrys in the vector (maybe it's finding the determinant?).How can a command be written to find the maximum of all the absolute values in a vector?

Hi,   I have a question to solve a DAE-system of a chemical reactor. In the picture you can see a minimal example. Its a simple reaction A to B with a first order kinetic multiplicated with an arhenius equation and an empirical pressure factor. To solve the DGL system, I have to predict the pressure p, wich depends on the mol fractions and temperatur. So this is my algebraic equation. This equation is combined with a DGL of the energy balance and two mass balnce. How can I solve such a system? With the example of mathcad, i can't solve this. Is there a simple way or standard method? I want to solve the system with RADAU so i have to built the vector function D. How i have to implement the pressure equation?   Thanks for your help
