Mathcad

Hello,I'm trying to use the integral function of MathCAD, which I haven't used before, and getting  "This calculation doesn't converge to a solution".  I think it has something to do with using a ray with the specific values for integration. I have an office PC that has mathcad 11, mathcad 15, and prime all installed, and all were working as expected. I started getting notices from Win7 that the hard drive was failing, with warnings to copy everything. Our IT did manage to clone the complete hard drive, and replaced the new drive in the same PC. Almost everything works; the one exception being the one piece of SW that cannot be reinstalled and licensed now.  The strange thing is that Mathcad 15 and Prime load and work as expected, with no hints of license problems. However when I try to start Mathcad 11, I get a message that the license file is corrupted. Of course, there is no server nor manual support now, so I'm looking for straws to grasp, as the one version I really wanted to keep is Mathcad 11; the others can always be reinstalled.The hard drive is cloned, so I expect it should be completely transparent to all of the software. I did check that the disk name and volume ID are the same as the old drive.I had copie

Can I, by using scripts check of a specified Excelfile is open and if so close it from inside Mathcad15? It should be possible by use of scripts inside Mathcad, but I dont have the knowledge the write such a script.

I am trying to iterate within a piecewise function. Specifically, I have a model for the heat release of an engine, and the second range of pressures is found through iteration. I know the initial condition. On the attached worksheet, the variable 'P_q' is the one that is found via iteration, i.e. P_q,new = f(P_q,old, etc.).Thank you in advance for any assistance with correcting the logic in my attempt.

Hi everyone,unfortunately i install Mathcad 2.0 Prime on my Desktoppc. I rather should do i on my laptop.Is it able if I uninstall Mathcad 2.0 on my desktoppc and use the same licenskey for my laptop? Or is the licens just for once?thank u guys for help!

Hi there I need some help to simplify the program that I made in Mathcad Prime  3.1 . I am using lookup  to get the required profile. But there are 2 conditions that I need to satisfy. If in condition 1 satisfied  the pre selected profiles. Condition two also should pass the utilization. If condition two did not pass how this will pre select up to a higher value to satisfy both conditions.  I attached the file for your reference.

HiI'm working on a problem where I've plotted two curves and would like to calculate the exact point where the two curves cross eachother.Does anyone know how to do this in Matchad Prime? Please see attached worksheet.

I am trying to develop an application that allows the user to see if a given value of axial load and moment can be will be safely supported on a spread footing.  Civil engineers are familiar with using interaction diagrams for columns and I am trying to implement the same principle for a spread footing.  The attached sheet works for the first two regions of the analysis where the load-moment curve is defined by decrementing the soil pressure from one side to the point where the pressure is maximum at one side and zero on the other.  If you look at the P array created by the sheet, it is correctly populated using a while loop which terminates when the pressure becomes less than zero.  After exiting the loop, I created a second while loop which starts calculating the axial load by moving the pressure triangle across the footing surface in specified increments.The problem is that although the second while loop executes correctly, I am not able to append the calculated

I've been using MathCAD 15 for some years now with no real issues however since I started using MathCAD Prime 3.0 I've been having trouble getting accustomed to the programming aspect.Some functions that I've become accustomed to have seemingly disappeared or I can't locate them.For example, I understand how to return some text if A > B. What I want to do is return some text for A >B AND C < D and if those aren't satisfied, return some other text. In MCAD 15 I'd just type:"Success" if A>B ^ C<D"Failure" otherwise"Success" if E>F ^ G<H"Failure" otherwise(^ is the boolean logic for AND)But in the new Prime, I'm not too sure as I don't know how to account for the general otherwise statement.Can anyone help me out here ?

Hi, I'm using a win7 professional 64 bit with Excel 2010 and Mathcad 15. After updating Mathcad from M020 to M045 the Excel components in an existing Mathcad worksheet no longer work. Additionally, if I insert a new Excel component, it seems to work, but after reloading the Mathcad file, the same error occurs: server error or invalid worksheet name specifided.

Hi,I'm new to this forum.I've been having a problem lately where the above keystroke is not working for me.All other keystrokes / shortcuts seem to be working fine.CTRL + A selects everything on the document and SHIFT + A types "A" as per usual, however, combining the two, to create a math region within a text region has no effect.At the moment I have simply had to either use the menu - Insert > Math Region, or by right clicking where I would like the math region inserted.However, I am wondering if anyone has encountered this and managed to resolve the issue?Thank you in advance.Andrew

So I started using Mathcad Prime 3.0 in anger last week at work. Some colleagues had used it before and it seemed powerful, lots of plus points.Once I'd got my head round it I was really getting into it, looking at how much a licence would be, wondering how much better things would be if everyone in our group used it .... until I came to plot ... OMG.I could not understand what I was doing wrong - why couldn't I find the plot controls - because they don't exist !!This is just unbelievable. The output of science and engineering software such as mathcad/matlab/etc is usually a graph, or a lot of graphs!Unfortunately Excel, matlab etc do a much much better job of plotting, so I can't justify a licence.Please PTC, update this aspect of Mathcad as soon as possible.

I'm using Mathcad 15 in Windows 7. Anyone ever seen this error before? And if so what does it mean. I'm reading in a 100 MByte file and stripping off a serious amount of data leaving this matrix of 15 columns and 21000 rows to write. Could it be a memory issue associated with the variable holding the 100 MByte contents.

Hi,I have drawn a sphere (you can find the attached file), but the data points are on the surface. I want a full sphere. As an example I drew only @r=3 and @r=5My first question is, I don't have an idea why we write λ(Θ,ϕ) <-- F(r,0,0,0,Θ,ϕ) on the 3D scatter plot. Why cannot we write F(r,0,0,0,Θ,ϕ) on the graph?I tried to write a for loop for the radius (r=0, r=0.1 .... r=n) and i want to see all the spheres on the graph.One more important point is that I need the x,y,z coordinates for these spheres but even for one single sphere I cannot see the coordinates of the data points.So to sum up,I have the code that draws a sphere but it only draws the data points on the surface, I need a full sphere. And, I need the coordinates of these data points. Could you please help me?

I just installed MathCad and I’m wondering if there is an easy way to display complex numbers in polar format, or even preferable display it in degrees. For example, say I have a resistor and inductor. R1= 10 and L1 = 10j. I would like to display it as:R1 + L1 = 14.14 with a 45-degree phase angle. I see some stuff that might be help from about eight to ten years ago, but I was hoping there is much more simple way with Mathcad 3.1
