A train leaves New York at 9:45am EDT, heading for San Francisco...The train system consists of a straight-line tunnel connecting the two cities. The train uses a MAGLEV (magnetic levitation) system consisting of permanent magnets in the tracks and superconductive electromagnets in the train. To accelerate it uses a combination of electromagnetic force and gravitational pull of the Earth. Hello,I'm trying to get my first equation in Mathcad to work right.What we need to accomplish in this school project is fabrication of a (virtual) scale. More precisely writing a proper equation which would define the correlation between the weight of the letter/package placed on the scale, and the angle movement of the needle. It is hard to get it right algebraically when I'm not sure of how Mathcad reads the input.Can I request some help with the syntax of the equation?Thanks so much, maurits

Hi..I have created one design in mathcad which having some inputs from creo and one output from mathcad.So when i am going to do integration some times it gives me the error "Cannot read outputs from Prime worksheet" which i am not able to get the exact reason.Please can some one help me to understand, so i can take precaution while doing integration.Thanks,Prashant Pandarkar

Hi, guys,As below shows, when I tried to perform a Duhamel Integral in Mathcad, If I manually copy and paste P1(tao) into D2(t), Mathcad will integrate successfully, as shown in the 2nd D2(t)However, when I used P1(tao) in the integral, the integration is not successful, as shown in the 1st D2(t), where the result expression has tao inside that is not supposed to be there. Could someone help me explain why?Thank you!BestShawn

Hi all,i want to write a program in MathCad 15, that can find a roots of the quadratic equation in subset of real numbers. Result will be a vector, or text: "this equation dont have result in real numbers" I already have a program, that can find a roots:but i dont know how to continue..i think, that if b^2-4*a*c <0 than this  equation dont have results in real numbers. but how can i write this in program?Thanks a lot!

I kept saving the file from time to time, but suddenly when I tried to save it again, some error messages showed, and asked me to either debug or close the program. I am starting to convert calculations from MC15 to MCP (only version 2 at the moment).One of the (many) problems that I have encountered is transferring data currently stored in an array & would like to re-format this as a table (attached is an example that I have started).is there any way to programmatically do the transfer?Once the table is created, how easy is it to edit?I have tried copy & paste by row but it didn't seem to work for me. Am I missing a trick some where?It could be a help if I want to re-order the data , Absolute nightmare is each element has to be copied separately.Many thanksAndy

Hi, everyone, I am trying to use Duhamel Integral to calculate a continuous bar axial vibration response, Below is my process:I only used the eta1(t) part and the first phi*eta1(t) (add from i=0 to 0)But it takes 5mins for Mathcad to finish the calculation of this simple case.  Is there a way to improve the calculation efficiency?Before this, I also tried to create a matrix with 100 points for u1, and plot the matrix, but the time for the final calculation is also very long. Given this is only a simple case, adding from 0 to 0, I am afraid that it takes forever to finish the accumulation of more phi*eta.I propose that the problem of this low efficiency is with the Duhamel integral, Is there a way to improve it?Thank you very much!Best Regard Shawn

I am struggling with a heat equation which has very complec heat generation term.In the attachment, T is temperature, x,y,x are axes perpendicular to each other, t is time, and other parameters are assumed to be known.Here, what I want to ask is1) Is this PDE solvable with Mathcad (w.r.t case 1 and case 2)or do I have to other softwares like c++, matlab2) If so, is there anybody who is willing to teach me the code?I would appreciate it if anybody give me an answer.Thank you.

Though the latest ACI 318 code controls crack issues with spacing requirements instead of calculating crack width, it may be still important for water-containing structures.The attached are references to calculate a crack width in accordance with ACI 224.1R and Eurocode 2. Hello all I am new to using MathCad and am running into an issue. I have a bunch of data points (x,y,z) that I need plotted on a 3D scatter plot. When I try to plot them say I have 3 points so nine entries it will place all 9 numbers instead of placing 3 points at the coordinates (x,y,z). Thanks for the help!

The original document was created in a Mathcad 2001 version. Symbolic calculations in the document do not have. Why the different results of calculations in Mathcad 11 and Mathcad 15 ( M040)? But it is strange that the results in Mathcad 11 and in Mathcad Prime 3.1 are the same .
