Hi!Is there a way to make a filter based on comboboxes ? i.e. I want to be able to filter "Type" and "Version" so that the end result is a matrix i can plot I used vlookup to easily filter "Type", but not sure how i can incoorporate the "Version" filter? (I've attached my sheet, MCP 9) Thank you!  RegardsSNA    

Hello, Thank you for your time. I've recently downloaded MathCAD 6.0 and activated the 30-day trial. However, I was trying to open a .mcs file but failed. I've done my research and learned that this type of file (.mcs) was associated with MathCAD software, so it doesn't make sense if it couldn't work on .mcs files. Please let me know if there is any solutions. Looking forward to your reply.

A=Q/U*T should give m^2 , where Q= heat capacity in kW, U heat transfer coefficient W/m^2*K, T is temperature difference in K.  The area I am getting is in Kg^2. Why?  

Good morning, I spun my wheels on this for a while yesterday, and now I'm looking for help. The attached file was created in MathCAD Prime 8.0. In order for it to work, make sure that the csv file and the mathcad file are in the same directory. What it's supposed to do is accept a csv file with a specific structure and convert it into a vector of properties with MathCAD units. It was supposed to be a short program, but I'm running into a bug that I can't seem to work around gracefully.  When I have the READCSV(filename) function inside of a program, my output has no units, but when I have my READCSV function outside of the program, it works.  I want the READCSV function to work inside of the program so that I can call multiple csv files and combine the properties of each, otherwise the purpose of my overly-complicated data entry experiment is moot. Hello, I have a question. As you can see in attached picture, i want to create function if IL1 equal to IL2, but I want the equal to function to only consider 4 number of decimal places (ie: 0.6193). Is it possible? I use Mathcad Prime. Thank you 

I am getting a new computer which can be upgraded to Windows 11.  I did not take the subscription service to upgrade to Prime 7.  I would like to continue to use Mathcad 15 and Prime 6.  Does anyone have experience on installing Mathcad 15 and Prime 6 on Windows 11?  I know neither are certified for Windows 11. Regards,

HiI want to calculate the maximum deflection of a structure subjected to bending. The deflection occurs within the buckling length, defined as the deflection within the points of inflection i.e. where M(z)=0. I have plotted the moment and the deflection in the attached file, but need further assistance finding the maximum deflection within the buckling length (see page 2 in the attached file).  Any help appreciated!

Mathcad prime 8 Are the worksheets in the structural design library able to be downloaded or are they suuposed to only be pdf files for reference?  Are they free/how to buy if not?  

 This has affected me again.  This has been a recurring problem.  I responded to Mitch G. and fully explained my situation.  He provided NO HELP.  Just sent me to a website that was no help. My 10 year-old PC is showing signs of failing. I still have my original Product Code and MED-60602-CD-150_M050.zip file, as well as the unzipped files, plus my sales receipt indicating my license is perpetual for my academic version of MATHCAD 15.  I also have my original license file. Apparently, MATHCAD 15 cannot be re-installed with all my above original information without having to contact PTC; it will this be another painful process? I have been using MATHCAD since well before PTC took over.  I think I started with MATHCAD 3, definitely before MATHCAD 6.  After PTC took over MATHCAD, the licensing and installation were the most painful, convoluted processes I have ever encountered with newly purchased software. I guess I am out

Dears, I'm stuck on learning how to apply a real PDE problem. It is an application that I can observe in my daily life involving gas, the effect of a pressure wave caused by a transient in a gas pipeline when a valve is abruptly closed at the end of the pipeline. Reading several technical papers on this matter, many numerical simulations of fast transients have been performed to solve the partial differential equation for transient flows in horizontal gas pipelines. Dorao (2011) [1], like many authors, starts the discussion with this system of PDE:  I was thinking (naive?) that I could simply solve this using the PDE Solver, but after many trials and errors, I came to a halt. I´m stuck setting the initial conditions right for the solver:T0=-0s is during a steady state. Flow, velocity, and density all are the same for the length of pipe L, from L0 at the (inlet) and L1 (outlet), as this is before the transient.After this, the flow stops:T1=+0s is the outlet valve closed.

This does not work:Error message says "variable not defined". But this works:The intention was to add an entry to the matrix at the end.This is quite odd, experimenting I found this works without the "=" sign:

Hello,The question is related to finding of solutions of the below equation:   Solution with solve:   Solution with root:   From the graph we see that the graph cuts the x-axis only in 2 points. Where can we see the other 2  solutions (which are the imaginary solutions) with the root solution on the graph that solve gives above? Or can't we seen on the graph these 2 imaginary solutions of f(x) with the root function/solution?How to find with root function the imaginary solution of the function f(x)?Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.Thank you.

A few days ago, I was able to use the Unicode character map to insert a subscript into a graph label.  I was surprised I could do that, but it worked as noted in the attached png file.  Today, when I opened the same Mathcad 15 file, the subscript was lost and a blank box appeared where it should be.  See the attached images.  This is the ...2.png file. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

I have a “perpetual” license for MathCad 15/Prime 2. Who do I contact to get license file for my new computer? I have contacted the PTC site and all I get are requests for account numbers and service contracts.     

HiI have set up a function, where I want to find the root x. I have made an attempt in the attached file to use the Solve block-function, unfortunately I get an error message and don't know how to proceed.   If somebody could help me, I would be really thankful. 🙂  

Like Subscripts shortcut "ctrl+-" is really slow down the speed, it is much convenient used "." in match 15,
