Mathcad Installation

Hello PTC community,   Im contacting you regarding a reoccurring issue we've encountered with a license on a specific Host,   Since 25.08.2025 we installed Mathcad License(Prime 6 which is compatible with MathCAD 15) Locked version on our host.    The license activates the software and works as intended for couple of days, after that it's getting deactivated and has to be activated again (Activated 3 times already). We've followed the procedure as shown in PTC Knowledge Base and it has worked successfully on multiple other hosts. Only on this case we encountered this issue.   Kindly advise how to proceed & let us know if more information is needed.   Best regards

I have an old copy of Mathcad 15 and Prime3.0 installed on a Windows 10 computer which was purchased 2/8/2014 . I need Windows 11 licenses for both as I purchased a new computer.

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0My company uses Python scripts to extract Mathcad Prime data to Excel spreadsheets. The Python code uses the MathcadPy library to extract data to the spreadsheets, but I am continually getting errors when running the code. I have also seen the error popup when running Mathcad Prime normally.We create a folder structure of Mathcad Prime files, using relative links to point to the folder/file at the next level up. We have a number of Mathcad sheets in the same folder and they all point to Mathcad files at the directory above , to make a make-shift library of electrical parts/parameters for our application.I will randomly see the error pop-up when accessing these files. It is also random, and there is no predictability to the error popping up.Here are the errors that I faced"An unhandled exception occured. i have been a long time user of MathCad, strongly prefer the old, non prime versions.  Thinking of trying Prime once again, in case MathCAD 15 no longer can be made to work.  When to activate a newly downloaded, properly assigned locked licence, Prime does not seem to have an activated licence.  For example the watermark is there, the activate button is live, and not all functionality is available.  I'm not sure what to try next.  I've verified the MAC ID, downloaded new licence files a few times, tried on Windows 10 and windows 11 PC (of course properly assigning the MAC is in licence manager).  I also opened a ticket for support, that I have paid for for years and years and years, and have enjoyed no reply so far (about a week of waiting). Any tips?

I have Mathcad 14, working fine till now. I was bound to reinstall the PC, but now I get error in licensing the mathcad 14. "Unexpected Error. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."I did not get any time limit when I bought Mathcad 14, so I should be able to continue using it. It is only for occassional private (academic) use.

I have been trying to activate license but it is saying License request failed invalid host

I don't have a customer number or SCN, just a web account to manage my license.I have a version of Mathcad 14, I know it's old, but it works for what I do.My problem is reinstalling it on a new Windows 11 Laptop. It is on my Windows 10 Laptop but after a Windows update the operating system failed and is irreparable. The link I had to the Single User License is:https://support.ptc.com/appserver/lm/mathcad/call_logger/callLogger.jsp, and it worked but after entering the product code I get this error message:Invalid parameter values have been passed in. The application cannot continue. I couldn't log a case from that screen as well.   From what I'm reading MathCad license retrieval may no longer be supported.    I May have to abandon it and go to Smath Studio or some other program.

Hello, I own a student license and I use a desktop to make my school work at home but i do own a laptop that I take to classes due to it's portability, even being worse than my home desktop, I would love to use Mathcad on both but when I try to activate my license on my laptop it says that the maximum number of license requests were made, if I can't use the software on both my desktop and laptop it gets slightly useless, so I would love to solve this issue

I want to reinstall my oldish (purchased in 2012) Mathcad 15 to work on some support files for one of my old textbooks. The license file manager tells me that the feature isn't available anymore for the product. I think this may be because I bought it as an upgrade from Mathcad 14. So as an alternative I tried to install my copy of 14, but it too was an upgrade from the previous version and I don't have my installation media for Mathcad 13 anymore. Any suggestions?

Cannot get a license for my MC14 which I installed on a new Windows 11 computer.When I run the Mathcad License Setup Wizard and log into my account, I get the ERROR: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.MORE INFO:The old computer hard drive failed so I need to install MC14 on the new computer.This MC14 is an upgrade from MC 13. So, I also installed MC13 first along with the required .NET framework on the new computer. I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeM045Hi Team, our user (Roberto Vega) is facing an issue with the MathCAD software—the input boxes are misaligned with the format, and input information cannot be entered properly. The user tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but it didn’t work. Please refer to the attached picture and provide your support to resolve this issue.

I requested a license file for mathcad prime 11.0 from https://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_supportCenterSingleUser.htm but i think i entered the wrong host id. I get invalid host id error in mathcads license configuration. I tried to request a new license file, but i get this message "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type". I also tried to open a support case in support center, but i got this error message "Access Denied - Insufficient Privileges. In my eSupport settings it says i should be able to open a new case.

I was a Mathcad 15 user for 25 years. It looks like Mathcad Prime 11 does not support adding grid lines to XY plots. Is that true or is there a way to add them to make them look like my Mathcad 15 plots?

I am having a significant level of loading failures in 2025 with "Incorrect file format, file should be from PTC Mathcad Prime" and "File contains corrupted data" errors as the causes:.  23 cases are appended. What is most concerning is that projects that have been used to launch improved models a few days earlier as well as intentional project copies, both cannot be opened then or a few months later.   Is anyone else seeing an increase?  The "incorrect file format" is a new error for me.  It looks like it may be necessary to store PDF copies of projects, as some of these programs are 50-100 pages in length and will take days to weeks to reconstitute. Two .mcdx programs I tried to upload were rejected as having as having an incorrect file extension..  Is there something wrong with the title "250525, Tac7C+Weatherstation, corrected firmware, threaded slab heater, slope analysis.mcdx" ?
