Hello,I try to create a service BOM with all the kits available for the device. But I have some spare kits which include the same parts in them. Example:Kit 1:part Apart Bpart CKit 2:Part BPart DPart ESo my question is how to "share" the part between several kits (new parts I have created in the service bom)?Or if there is no way to do so have any idea to work around?Thank you regards
I just to update Creo Illustrate 3.0 M020. When I switch a 3D part to phantom representation, mybackground screen switch to black and after it is impossible to handle the 3D model Is it a bug or not? With Creo Illustrate 3.0 M010 this problem is not.I opened a case C12051648. See my description problem to the word file attached to this discussion.Thank in advanced for your feedbackChristophe Doz From France
Would be nice to add the value and the type of chamfer (symetric, LxL, Lxangle, etc...) in a window, or pop up, before selecting the sketch items. Cheers, Luís
When an AutoCAD Drawing is viewed in Creo View 3.0, Greek Alphabet Fonts like µ,Ωare not getting displayed and intead a "?" is shown. I already mapped the AutoCAD Fonts Directory to Creo View from the Option Interface. Howver I still face the issue? Any suggestions to solve the issue ?
Pro/USER's, I think we may have stumped PTC on this one, so I'm turning to you guys. We have assy's that use hundreds of occurrences of a flexible model. In the end, we like to determine the total length of the models req'd for the assembly. So far, we've managed to show each length for each occurence by writing a short relation. Trouble is, that relation is dependent upon the session ID of each component, so it becomes a manual and unrealistic endeavor. I hope the attached graphic of a simplified example is enough to describe what we're trying to do, and illustrate the problem. Thanks for any pointers. This HAS to be possible! G.
Has anyone got any examples of working practices with the use of XML files to speed setup.I'm dipping my toes in but am wondering if there is a way of specifying what items should be shown and which ones hidden in the figure. I have tried the itemlists but this doesn't quite seem as easy as i'm imagining the base setup ought to be.I also have outstanding questions regarding recipe files reference info with PTC tech support that don't seem to have an obvious answer yet.
Hi all,I have a question about publishing recipes. When i publish a figure to a new creo view file there is to much information in the file (creo parameters).Where do i find the publishing recipe that controls which information should be shown.Anotyher thing i dont understand is when i open the published pvz file in creo view lite, the item list that is created in illustrate wont be shown. Thanks
Is Creo View constantly popping up the 3D Connexion Properties window for you? I put in a ticket for this and PTC tech support is investigating. Here is the discussion on the 3D Connexion forum: http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4710 I'll post updates as information is available.
Hello,I'm having an issue with circles importing into Illustrate 3.0 as hexagons. For one particular assembly it worked fine on my laptop (HP workstation laptop), but imported as hexagons on my desktop. Today I opened another assembly and it imports incorrectly on both devices. They all open just fine in Parametric 2.0.In this image the top middle screw should have circular washers and the spring, a little to the right should be a circular helix. Here, the hexagons, and squares at the end of the blue shape should all be circles.Any help is appreciated. Illustrate is a great program so I'd really like to figure out what is causing this. Regards,Chris
Hi,I am new to this tool. Can someone tell me is it possible to have a customised template like we have for Iso Draw?If yes, please guide me how do I do that?setting fontssetting line thicknessthin/thin linesexplode linesimage output size (Illustration when exported to image or vector form, it should only capture upto the illustration boundary irrespective of whether it is zoomed-in, zoomed-out or fit to window)Please help.Regards,Sandeep
Creo Illustrate 3.0 M020 will release later in May 2014. Watch this video to review the great enhancements that have been included in this release. (view in My Videos)
I have a 2d graphic that i traced in IsoDraw, created polylines and filled grouped together. Is there a way to change the perspective of the 2d graphic to say show it installed on a door that is using the "basic" isometric view in IsoDraw?
Modelle werden nur als Drahtmodell dargestellt.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dies zu ändern?(Das Umstellen über den Rendermodus ist nicht möglich)
PTC are running an SLM pilot at a customer that involves creating illustrations in Creo Illustrate from local data (pvz, edz and jt files). All local data is already optimized for creo illustrate (i.e. no brep data in the ol files). The assemblies are very large (650mb illustrate file) and downstream processes suffer from these large file sizes. Not all SBOM components are shown in the figures that are created on a particular dataset. I know that we can clean the EBOM and delete any parts that are not in the SBOM to reduce the C3di file size but is there a way to delete any nodes in the SBOM that are not shown in any of the figures (apart from doing this manually). If there was a way of doing this we could then use the Clean EBOM command to reduce the file size. I have already suggested that the other way to do this is to disregard the SBOM that is created by default and manually re-build the SBOM bottom up with what is needed but that may not be practical either. Thanks for any input yo
Hi I need some guidence on PTC Creo Illustrate to replace with Iso draw, i am looking for some experts with suggetions? kindly revert.
Hi,I have come across a difficulty regarding creo illustrate 2.0. While creating sequences (for animation), I change the color of phantom parts(eg.to grey and brown being the orginal color) and while steps progress, i find retaining of color for the part which i have made a change. i tried changing color in every steps which i created, still the same problem persists. i got an advise to save te color after changing, and restore to saved in edit properties of the part, may work. I couldn't save the changed color too. What may be the solution to prevent parts from the tendency to retain the color once steps progresses? Is it possible to save the color of an assembly\part, if i change its color while animating?
I'd like to do what the help says and specify my tooltip to be the following but i can't make it bring DESCRIPTION up. Any idea what is wrong with this syntax? <PROE Parameters.DESCRIPTION.Value>
Hello,I would need advice regarding a requirement that I have for CAD drawings using Pro/E WF4 and Productview 9.1.It is regarding what we call "Multi-Language drawings". For our manufacturing plants, we need to create manufacturing drawings on which we can switch between different languages for the annotations within these drawings themselves (in ONE drw only); and most importantly, that we can switch between the different languages in ProductView to get the drawing as needed for anyone out on the floor. On the Pro/E environment, we have been doing this using different "layers" which contain the different languages. However, this doesn't work in ProductView 9.1, which doesn't support the switching between layers that have been created in Pro/E. Also, if we used sheets with the same file name, that could create problems when updating one of the sheets, so that one sheet is updated, but the other which is written in the other language is not updated. On another note and less importantly,
I have Creo View 3.0 installed. When I open a .prt file and I was trying to save a view as a image file. But the image file I got was nothing but totally black. I re-install Creo View, still have the same issue. And even if I print the view I print results I got is also black. Is there anyone know what's going on here? Thanks in advance.
How to integrate Creo Elements /Pro 5.0 with Creo Illustrate 3.0. Can we get the trial version of Creo Illustrate 3.0?
Hatch color for sketches, cosmetic sketches, and cross sections is controlled globally by the Letter system color (Graphics tab in the System Colors dialog box) The hatch color for sketches and cosmetic sketches cannot be controlled individually They always follow the Letter system color Cross section hatching line style can be modified independently of the Letter system color I would like to be able to control the hatch color independently of the Letter system color for Sketches, Sketches and Cross Sections, just like the capability provided today for Cross Sections. For me, this makes creating complex labels with different colors directly in ProE as a single part, which greatly simplifies my lable creation process. Please reference the linked PTC article https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS98464
Created an assembly in Creo 2.0 and saved to my desktop. Cleared memory and reopend assembly in Creo, did Save a Copy as .PVZ, go to IsoDraw and open the .PVZ file and some components are missing? Go back to Creo and reopen all components are visable. Also seems like IsoDraw is taking forever to project in 2D, compared to other releases.Any advice? I hope it is not contact PTC!
Good Afternoon,Would anyone know what you need to do to view 3D notes put on a model in Creo View?Thank you,Lori BonserLori BonserSenior Draftperson, Patterson-KelleyHarsco Industrial155 Burson StreetEast Stroudsburg, PA 18301Office 570.476.7315Fax 570.476.8637
Hi, What are your experiences with regards to creating 3D (and 2D) assembly instructions? We are looking for a way to create CAD driven assembly instructions in clearly defined steps. Here internally I have a Lattice3D fan who is really pushing forward with it. My gut feeling tells me we should go for Creo Illustrate considering we will be on Windchill PDMLink one day. But the demo he has seen so far did not impress him. Does anybody have a list of the pros and cons of Creo illustrate versus Lattice3D? Lattice3D adverts with their highly compressed XVL format. How does that compare to the compressed ProductView format? Thanks in advance. Has any used PTC Creo Sketch? I'm wondering what people think of it. I've seen a little online about its capabilities, but I'm wondering how practical it is.Any thoughts would be welcome.
