How can I invoke/run the custom Windchill class(deployed in Windchill home directory) from a batch file(.bat) in another (remote) machine?

I am using. Windchill 12.2.2.12 and PDMLink 12.0.2.7 I have an attribute defined at my Library context that lists all the business holidays for the next few years. I'm trying to create an alias attribute for a Problem report type that gets created inside the library. The new problem report should have the attribute shown on the details page and along with it, list all the dates entered at the library context. After saving the change to the PR attribute, I switch back to the details of a PR and refresh. The attribute name is shown but it has no values (which should have come from the context/parent). From what I've read, I'm pretty sure this can be done, but I can't figure out the proper syntax. Dear all, first of all: have a nice Christmass day! I fill my time in between visiting friends and family with some Windchill challenges:- One of the users reported that the Structure within Windchill sometimes does not reflect the structure of the CAD model. I did some research, looked for CAD settings like "Exclude from Bill of Materials" and eventually found out that 4 CAD parts were checked-in but where not associated with their Windchill parts. The Windchill parts are available. So it seems the user did not use auto-associate at first  ckech-in. Once found these issue's are easy to solve. But now I want to check all server data for more non-associated CAD data and make sure this can not happen in the future. And with these topics I can use some help: - how can I make a Windchill query searching for CAD models that are not associated to a Windchill part?- how can I restrict users from checking in CAD parts without associating the parts to a WTpart?, difficulty i

In some cases we see additional components appearing in the Windchill EPM structure as compared to the assembly structure in the Creo assembly. The dependency type of those extra components is "Substitute Member" - they are related to operations with Simplified Reps which were done inside Creo.There is a documented way to remove them from the Windchill EPM Structure view, by applying a filter, as outlined in https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS184158However, applying the the filter does not affect the visualization, as seen in the Visualization tab, or if opened in Creo View, you still see the extra components there.I got a feedback from PTC Tech Support, that a way of getting the structure visualization correct is by viewing through the related WTPart structure - which is true, but I find it hard to believe that you in this scenario simply cannot trust the EPM structure visualization, and have to live with a discrepancy between the filtered EPM structure and the correspondin

Hi all, We are running Windchill 11.0 and I know it isn't supported anymore so figured I'd ask here. We had a user leave the company and are trying to access his workspaces etc to check back in all the work he had checked out. We have admin access both site and org level. We can also see his workspaces but we are unable to open them and it appears all we can do is delete them. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this and how to fix it?  Thanks

  I recently was requested is there a way to email documents from a WC container out and use client mail service? I wanted to pick our collective brains first, attached I made concept of how it could work? a NEW Email button?I notice WC has a email button in Teams containers so the function does exist. Right now our project leads are downloading files to a network drive so they can gather them up for vendor quotes, I believe this is extra work for them and we have a potential loss of data.And saving files outside on the network which defeats the purpose of WC. If files are shore on the network drive then who's to say the latest revisions can be?these files are in PDF formats to represent the drawings.we can not use desktop integration on our network any thoughts?

Hello all, assume you created a Variant from a Variant Specification in the Product Family via BOM Transformer and "Generate Downstream Structure"...Based on a WT Part that is included in the generated Variant: is there an easy way to trace from that WT Part (non generic) to all Variant Specifications in the corresponding Product Family where this WT Part is part of (or even that Variant Specification from which the Variant was generated on) ?Using windchill pdmlink 12.0.2.7

How to get object identifier  of workflow object on windchill object in 11.0 Ver  ?if we just enter  a part / document number , we should be able to see workflow process assignment , creator details , etc .? what exactly is missing is the how to get object identifier of any process associated with the object ? since if that is done we can fetch other details probably .

We just rolled out new security labels and it took 6 hours for first issues to appear. Perhaps I need to dial back some of the configuration. We added a new label that has restrictions requiring an agreement to allow access. In testing we found that creators could set the label value to one of the restricted values and poof, the document would disappear on them since they would not have access.  I guess same is true for sync robots and set state robots.   A user was creating a change notice and set the security label to that restricted value. This caused ALL set state robots to abort when executing since that change notice was not accessible. From what I know, the state change causes sync robots that are listening to be checked and this CN was inaccessible due to that restricted value.  wcadmin is part of the group that can see all values so it should not have been restricted. Does this mean the workflow was executing as the creator user? Possibly.  Sure enough

Hello, I am facing an error when trying to cast version reference to Object Reference. I need help writing some code that will tell me who has accepted an activity task (but may not have completed that task yet). The code needs to run in a Workflow expression bot. I want to send an email to only that person. The task may have initially been assigned to 5 people, then one person accepts the task. If no one has accepted then the email will go to all 5.We are using Windchill 12.

As Windchill launches, I receive "Operation must use an updateable query" error message immediately after 'Opening last project in Navigator' loads.  Selecting OK does not clear the error, and it just continues to error. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as production is at a standstill.

Hello, I need to create a link between operation and part with MPMOperationToPartLink. I used the method com.ptc.windchill.mpml.processplan.operation.MPMOperationToPartLink.newMPMOperationToPartLink(MPMOperation operation, WTPartMaster partMaster) howeveran error message apears that ComponentIdPath is null. How to set ComponentIdPath? which parameters in the operation or the part are needed to create such link?   Thank you.

I have WTPart associated with EPMDocument with Owner link. I want to navigate from EPMDocument to the WTPart via the EPMBuildRule link using following code.   QueryResult result2 = PersistenceHelper.manager.navigate(epmDoc, EPMBuildRule.BUILD_TARGET_ROLE, EPMBuildRule.class, true);   But the query results is always empty.  Tried different values for the second parameter but no result.    Windchill version - 11.2.1

Hi,I'm exploring Options and Variants area of Windchill. It's going fine but it seems that when you end up with an unused or even never assigned choices there's no way to delete them. As soon as you check-in the Option Set containing such choices then whenever you try to delete it you end up with an error saying that it's tied to an Option Set (or part, whatever).According to CS107727 this is fine... Since you usually have plenty of Parts (or modules) tied to an Option Set it is kind of impossible to detach them in order to delete the latest iteration of an Option Set. So the question is...how to manage this? Cause after a while you'll end up with lots of unused choices you can't delete...
