Consider, a part has new attribute added to it. Now, at the time of publishing, the user wants this new attribute to be included in the Response XML file that will be published. How to add this new attribute in the ESI Response XML file?

Hi We have been using Pro/Process for instructions in many years. Creo is interrupted when editing steps. PTC told me Pro/Process is not longer supported.   Is Pro/Process the same as Assembly Process Plan ? Is Assembly Process Plan supported ?     We are looking at MPMLink as Pro/Process is not supported and has failures. Is it possible to add Exploded views and simplified reps to the MPMLink plan ? If not, is it possible to create Exploded views and simplified reps in MPMLink plan ? Exploded views and simplified reps may be created in Creo Illustrate, but as it is twice expensive than Creo we are looking for an alternative. What should that be ? Is there any api to assign a workflow activity to a user through java code.

Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: We're planning to use NATS for the messaging queue between Windchill and other systems. When going to test the connection via java code, Windchill throws the following: SEVERE: exceptionOccurred, Connection: 37, Exception: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.io.IOException: SSL required by server. Description: We're connecting Windchill to upstream and downstream systems by way of NATS as the messaging queue. I have the NATS .jar and dependencies in Windchill, code written and compiled successfully.    I run a simple example to connect and post a sample message straight out of this NATS functional example. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.0I Have created new sub type of ECN and created new number sequence for that, but it did not generate correct number sequence.

Hi,I have a requirement where I need to connect Windchill and Oracle Cloud using ESI Module. In the Distribution Target type, I was exploring the options "File" and "Oracle Applications". I know that the File type is used when we want to transfer the XML content to the downstream system. When should we consider Oracle Application type?. We have a requirement to extract the part structure from a PVZ file. While we are currently able to display it using the ThingView widget, the goal is to extract the part structure from the PVZ file and present it in a tree grid.Additionally, upon selecting a part in the grid, the corresponding part should be highlighted in the 3D view. I would like to understand:Is this functionality achievable in ThingWorx?Is there a way to read the PVZ file and extract its structure?Can this be accomplished using any existing extensions or OOTB (Out-Of-The-Box) functions, or will we need to develop custom extensions? Thanks in advance!

How to add our own custom tab in home page of windchill beside private and public tab.  

I just started playing with WWGM and MathCAD. I am seeing if this can help us with our conversion to Prime. First question is why PTC decided to do this in the WWGM at all? Why not follow Creo with embedded browser? Second is more troubling and tech support did not have a good answer. I have thousands of files. The import to workspace does not appear to show MathCAD files. I've done this with Solidworks data and it worked great. Am I missing something? The answer I got back was that it doesn't support MathCAD and I would need to use a 3rd party loader or write my own.  This cannot be true can it? Anyone have experience on this before? 

I (was) using Windchill PDMLink Release 10.2 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS28General question, and yes we know that version 10.2 is no longer supported. We just recently upgraded. My question is, for any of the upgrade steps from 10.2 to 11.x, then to 12.x, then to 13.x, is it required that the CAD publisher queues be emptied first? Or if we have jobs in those queues that we are holding on to for purposes of trying to fix them, will the contents of the publisher queues be brought forward into the new version so that they are not lost? Objects having WFs are Parts, Documents, Change Objects.Description: Hi,As the requirement is to migrate the Workflows from Source Windchill (WC 12.0) to Target (WC 12.0), but using WBM for WF Process migration has the following limitations:i. Only the Workflows defined from latest iteration of WF Templates considered by WBMii. Manually populating the "mapping.xml" file with Target IDA2A2 value. This is time consuming (especially during the Production Cut-over) and also prone to manual errors. Due to the above limitations, is it feasible to migrate the WF Processes through WBM?
