Does anyone know of a way to automatically place all new user accounts into a specific license group in Windchill 12? Currently we have to create the account in participant administration (Syncing it with our LDAP) and then take the extra steps of adding them to the 'PTC Navigate Contributor - Active Daily User License' group. Since this process is always the same, and occasionally forgotten, an automatic membership method  is preferable.

I am looking if someone has a good summary on these two Location declarations. In my journey to move to SSO, I've been trying to find the right balance, SSO for users, basic for non-users and integrations, trustedHost for CAD workers and Index Server, etc. Security is also on my mind, not allowing any additional attack vectors.  I came across article Windchill Authentication with a Host IP (Trusted Host) configuration is deprecated which gave me pause. I was also dealing with issues with ThingWorx Navigate called out in How to have basic authentication for some URLs when SSO is enabled. So just taking a moment to make sure I get things right and watch out for future changes.  From what I gathered from trustedHost entries and trustedAuth, it was an anonymous Location declaration which would allow unauthenticated access from any host or IP listed in trustedHost line. Hi, I would like to get a List of .drw who changed the lifecycle state within the last 24 h. There is a restriction to get the information via REST Endpoint. I used the PTC CAD Document management with GET CADDocuments. I tried to use the filter for the LastModified date. But there is no impact of a changed Lifecycle state to the Last modified date. Any Ideas how i can filter for objects who changed their lifecycle state in a range of time?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 M030 CPS22I am planning to upgrade my windchill system from 11.0 M030 CPS22 to Windchill 12. Before upgrade I want to test in a server for that I am planning to backup and restore to a new VM. Do I need to have license for installing Windchill to the new instance?

We have been asked whether we can convert our Windchill and Oracle on RedHat system to use MS-SQL Server. What proportion of Windchill  installations use MS-SQL? We don't want to be on our own. My first try was to run MS-SQL on RedHat. Does MS-SQL work better on Windows? How about a WC-on-Linux and MSSQL-on-Windows combination?  A benefit seems to be cost. What are the pitfalls?

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: It happens on a few computer, most of them works perfectly. They are all on the same network. My Windchill server is working on http and don't have https configured. When using the embed browser on Workgroup Manager, it connects alright. I've modified the hosts file. Restarted the computer to confirm. The user have the right licenses to connect and use CAD, and there's enough licenses available. (windchill base and mechanical 1) I've tested on Inventor and SolidWorks 2024 and 2023 and got same results. Windchill and Workgroup are 13.0.2. I've tried cleaning the browser cache. Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: I want to add a column with the released/assigned ECN in the search windows results and in the active workspace.Description: Hello, I am working with windchill 12.0.2.15 for releasing using ECN a lot of parts for production and it will be useful if in the search result window and in the active workspace to have a column with the ECN number released or assigned next to the number and name columns.Right now, the only information to identify that a number is assigned to an ECN is a red triangle in the search result window.I tried to add all the columns available, and none of them are with an ECN info. Thank you,

In our ThingWorx Navigate platform, we have Windchill Auth configured (ptc-identity-provider-authenticator), which can create user automatically and add users to ThingWorx groups. We have a requirements for few apps where we can not give access to all the ThingWorx platform users to get access. Only subset of the ThingWorx Platform users can use these apps. I am looking for ideas how to automate user provisioning for these apps. Right now we are manually adding users into ThingWorx groups.

work group manager does not let you work with offline workspace.this feature is available in the PTC creo environment but not in the work group manager

I am looking to create a Peer Review on a document or a dynamic document. The following link/post seems indicate the Windchill 11.0 software will be able to accomplish this task.   https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill-Questions/Peer-review-of-documents/td-p/545404   However, the post seems to speak to the Windchill 11.0 M030 release. I followed the steps and I noticed that I do not have the 'New Review' option from the context menu. I checked the version I am running and the release version is Windchill M030-CPS06.   Any suggestions?
