Windchill

Working on an upgrade of PDMLink 11.1 M020 to 12.0.2.3 and an error occurs when updating the users to the database.  Followed the guide where you install the 11.2 Windchill Directory Server, build a skeleton structure, and merge with our 11.1 ldap. PTC is currently working the problem, but it seems we are having trouble with the disconnected users. I have heard the reasoning for moving away from the packaged WDS, but we have never experienced these errors with any of the previous upgrades. Just wondering if anyone else has had problems upgrading to 12. Thanks in advanced for any responses!

Hello,When users create new WTPart from a CAD Documents it creates a generated number and it can't be changed. Users want wtpart number to be the same as CAD.In set new name and number dialog, field Number is locked. Any advice on how we can change it?They are using associate parts and it's the same.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS08I have a couple of workflows that are stuck because someone chose the wrong path and now they are stuck without a routing to go. Is there a way to force route them to where they need to go?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.0.0 and Creo 4.0 M100User workspaces are refreshing very slow ever since the users Creo Embedded browser has given an error about Internet 11 is not compatible. This new IE 11 error started are 5/18/22, but is randomly showing up on various users the past two weeks. I have changed the config.pro to browser chromium and that has removed the script error but the workspace refreshes range from 30sec to 180sec depending on the object count. 1550 objects is taking 30sec. Usual performance is 5-8 sec refresh to show objects. This is not happening to all users. I am suspect that some users have installed windows updates that are affecting their workspace. I have removed the Wildfire folder to clear cache that test showed no difference in refresh speed.Here are the errors that I facedAn error has occurred in the script on this page. Hi there, did somebody has tested entirely the change management in Windchill 12.0.2.x? For me exist incredibly many errors for Change Notices. E.g. Setting multiple objects to a target state. The command just don't work. PTC Support wanted to put me off until 12.1... I now requested a bug fix for 12.0.2.x Target state selection which will not be saved during change task creation will hopefully be fixed in 12.0.2.3 (imagine the target states will have changed during save and are moved to a wrong not controlled state...) Revise action which has been hidden in some cases (fixed in 12.0.2.2) Are there any other known issues in the area of change management? Have any community members already done extensive testing in this area? Thank you very much for any response.

My company recently started using Creo Illustrate.  So far I have been unsuccessful in connecting Windchill Workgroup Manager to Illustrate.  Is there somewhere I can download WWM?  Wasn't able to find a link on the PTC site.  Do I already have WWM if my Creo Parametric is able to access Windchill?  Any help would be appreciated.

Dear all, I wonder if anybody has an experience with the Odata Event Management Domain. Is there a possibility to subscribe to a specific subtype of an object? I am implementing our company process for Variances and I was wondering if anyone had a proposed standard way of documenting all the pieces involved for later understanding by those not involved with the original implementation.  Looking for something that gathers up the type/attributes added or changed, layout changes, workflows, lifecycles, policies, object initialization rules, etc.  Anyone want to share a template?

Hi, We have a use-case where we have added some custom attributes in Windchill. We retrieve the values against these attributes using Query-Objects webject , like so  <ie:webject name="Query-Objects" type="OBJ"><ie:param name="instance" data="${@FORM[]supporting-adapter[*]}"valueSeparator=";" delim=";"/><ie:param name="attribute" data="name,Class" delim=","/><ie:param name="group_out" data="objects"/></ie:webject> This works fine with almost all attributes, however, if the attribute Name is "Class", it returns the class-type of the object and not the actual value. e.g.TestPart         Class: "ABC" Returned Value:  WCTYPE|wt.part.WTPart|local.eQVM.TestPartExpected Value: ABC Is there a way we can mask/escape class attribute Name to get expected Data? 

We use three views of the wtPart.We have a legacy view called Modeled that we do not allow users to create but can be revised and edited as normal.As this was our legacy view, it has the owner link to CAD.We have our current Engineering view called As Designed.Then we have a manufactured view.Our issues is that now after upgrading to 12 our users get a error when creating a downstream As Designed from Modeled. They can create a Actions / New / New View Version. This new view version does not have the associated links to CAD/Doc data from the Modeled to the new As Designed.The error log looks like permissions."jave lang NullPointException"
