I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.2Windchill server and creo cad worker server both are installed separately in AWS EC2. Firewall in cad worker is on and enabled only the inbound ports "20-21, 80, 443, 137-139, 445, 601". With this I can telnet 601 from Windchill server and 5600 from cad worker without any issues. But still the cad worker is not getting turn on while hitting the Start workers in Windchill. Is there any other port need to be enabled ? PL. confirm

I am trying to upload the primary content to a document using REST API. I found information on knowledge hub to do it using Upload Stage 1, Upload Stage 2, Upload Stage 3 actions. I am facing issue while stage 2 action as it is not available in windchill rest services(screenshot attached). I am wondering if it is possible to customize the Document Management domain to perform POST action to upload document primary content directly through rest api. Any hint or assistance will be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance for time and consideration.  

Curious if anyone has successfully implemented the Creo View Adapter for SolidWorks when outputting HPGL (.plt) files.  I've followed all the instructions and my plots are coming out upside down.  I'm at a complete loss...CAD WorkerWindows 7 64-bitSolidWorks 2015 64-bit w/SP4Creo View Adapters 3.0 M032Followed the instructions on page 432 of the Install Config Guide, worked through CS22286, and tried multiple Microsoft and HP printer drivers, all to no avail.

I know this is a bit of an Onion (many layers and it can make you cry).We have Org and level Roles with ACL's but we also allow Projects to create Local Roles and these act like "Team Members" for Org level ACL's.In a Project (or any context) there is also the ability to ride a gui action with Actions on Roles.Given all that....There are Access Controls on a Folder (that can be propagated to sub-folders) and these look like ACL in that they say "modify" ,  "modify content" (looks like modify content in ACL), ""The right to modify any local file, URL, or external storage for the primary content and attachments of an object with content. Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: Need Creo view files to match pdf files exported of drawings so drawing review markups can be made for drawing approval workflows within windchill.Description: Want Windchill Creo View files and thumb nails to match PDF files that are exported from Creo Drawings using profile settings. How does one control the line weights and colors that are out putted to make Creo View files? See attached images.  Would like to have the image with blue lines for object line and format lines look like the all black and white image.  Also where do I configure the colors that are used for the Creo View thumb nails that are shown on the details tab for the workspace?  Thanks for any help you may provide!Don A

as per subject, not sure if its a limitation or not, but it would be super handy to have the creo view 'highlighter' tool in the annotations ribbon to stay ON to mark up multiple things on a drawing at once? alternatively, it would be good to be able to apply a shortcut to some of these tools? Thanks

Hi, I performed a rehost on dev server from production. This is the second time in last 15 days, I have rehosted server. First time, all went good , server was up and running. But the second time, I can see message in the MS-log. (MethodServer ready (in xxxx secs).) and then trying to access it from UI, it is authenticating the user and cannot access, it keeps rotating.  Can someone please help me where to check ?

Hello PTC Community,I am working on a project in Windchill and need to enhance the functionality of the "New Multiple Documents" window.Scenario:Open Windchill and navigate to a product.In a Windows Explorer window, select files you wish to import into Windchill.Drag and drop the files into the Windchill interface.The "New Multiple Documents" window appears.Problem:The current window does not display all the attributes I need to assign during the import process. Hi all, I am working on a customized action that requires to download model data . Since the members of the family tree do not have model content data, I need to filter them. Can anybody suggest me ways to identity if a part belongs to family tree or get the model content of the base object?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.11I want to create part object subtype in windchill through thingworx application. For this creation I have to use 3 endpoints in single request that are uservalidation, attribute_validation, create Object. To do this I believe that in ODATA I can use batch request. But finding some difficulty that where to save that Json/js files which consist of the batch request and all. If I can get a stepwise procedure, it may help me to do the requirement.
