Windchill Navigate

Hi Guys, I have created a custom app in thingworx navigate. It is working perfectly for administrator but the same custom app is not working for non-administrator user. When i click the custom app from non-administrator user it is showing the error: Reason: 404 - Entity Not Found. If anybody knows mean let me know.  

Hi everyone, When I used to add a "my thing" to data in mush-up, the problem is that I can't find it in the list of elements when looked for it. its happened to me several times, some times when I try to implement a thing to another, I can't find it in the list of search etc.. Thanks

Hi,   I am trying to install Navigate 8.5.3 on my Microsoft Server 2016 Standard (64 Bit). Which require PostgreSQL 9.6 or 10.8 Version. But I am not able to find PostgreSQL 10.8 version on the PostgreSQL official site (https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads).   Can anyone please provide me the link/solution to get PostgreSQL 10.8 installer?   ** Note: PostgreSQL 9.6 version have some open issues because of which our organisation security team has Grey Listed in our system. Hi all  I am trying out  Example1DesignFilesAccessAppConfigThing in TWX Navigate 8.5.3. I was in Composer at  https://domain.com/Thingworx/Composer/index.html#/modeler/details/Mashup~DesignFilesAccessAppMashup/attributes , and clicked 'View Mashup'.  It is trying to load  https://domain.com/Thingworx/Runtime/jquery.qtip.min.map .  In Chrome Inspect Sources tab, it is clear that there is no jquery.qtip under /Thingworx/Runtime . Can I fix this by loading an extension?   To see this mashup rendered right, is it correct to use the URL https://domain.com/Thingworx/Runtime/index.html?mashup=CommonSearchAccessAppMashup&configEntity=Example1DesignFilesAccessAppConfigThing&appMashupname=DesignFilesAccessAppMashup#master=PTC.AccessApp.Master&mashup=CommonSearchAccessAppMashup&configEntity=Example1DesignFilesAccessAppConfigThing&appMashupname=DesignFilesAccessAppMashup thanks Rick

Hello I have set all in thingworx imported all extensions required .and in ptc-windchill-connector ,ptc-winedchill-connector-proxy i have done required setting for windchill fixed authentication below are the setting i have done all setting in composer.   attached log file. I am performing fixed account authentication .followed below steps.   In Thingworx : Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector and select Configuration Set Authentication Type to None Fill out Username and Password Fill the Base URL with: http://<Windchill Hostname>:<port>/Windchill/trustedAuth (instead of sslClientAuth) Click Save. Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector-proxy and select Configuration              URL: http://<Windchill Hostname> Set Authentication Type to basic Fill out Username, Password Do not specify path for Keystore and TrustStore (Starting Navigate 1.8) : Set "Test Connection URL"=http://<SERVER_NAME&

Hello,   I have query does we need to Grid extension import before configuring to Windchill.  It is mandatory or its fine if we not import.    

When searching for Parts or Documents, our users sometimes need to find the latest version, regardless of state (even if it's pending a CN or still at In Design state). Other times, they need to find the latest production-released version, and do not want to see the in-process objects.   In Navigate, there's no way to do that.  There is a admin capability to select latest released (can specify states and views). But this configuration change applies to all users. It's not available to individual users, and cannot be applied to individual users. I am currently using a Dynamic Menu which will generate items based off the logged in user options. I would like to send parameters to a contained mashup based on which menu item they select. How can we do this.

Hi all When installing TWX Navigate, the documents call for a patch to Windchill to support 'Contribute tasks'. This is for any Windchill version before 11.2 (please correct me!). I think the Windchill patch is necessary no matter which Navigate version  (please correct me!). The patch is provided as an executable jar which makes various changes in the Windchill installation. I like to be able to revert quickly, so is there a corresponding executable or script which could 'unpatch' or revert the patch? Maybe I need to snapshot the VM and DB after closing it all down and making backups. When the patch has not yet been applied, Will Navigate have *any* functionality? Just View tasks perhaps? What are the various Windchill changes in the patch? Added REST endpoints, changed request handlers? Does CPS-12 include this patch? (our version is below) Thanks! I have thingworx 8.5 and integrity 12.2.1, These two servers are configured with SSL but I want to login thingworx based on integrity user authentication.   is there any way or reference guide to configure SSO with these above two servers???

I am in a dilemma as to why exactly I should configure SSO with ping federate for production server when Windchill authentication itself does the work? Can anyone here who have successfully implemented SSO with ping federate tell the exact difference between Windchill authentication and SSO configuration while installing navigate with Ping federate.

Hi all, We need to decide whether to put the DB for TWX Navigate on a separate server, and how often to back it up. It would be helpful if we knew what sort of info gets stored, and how big it will be.  At a guess, the data is role based user configuration and possibly some mashup config. Does any Windchill data get cached here? What else does the DB contain?   We will be using Postgressql. If the DB is small we can keep it local in the Navigate server, which would be convenient.   Thanks -- Rick

Hello,in our application we are having some performance issues, there is a lot of users accessing our mashup and one server is having trouble with performance.We would like to use multiple servers with a load balancer to distribute the load. Could you please kindly provide us with pointers on how to achieve that if that is even possible? Do you have any other recommendations on how to deal with a load?(We have Postgres installed to a separate server, we are able to replicate the database but just doing that does not work as expected, in order to see the changes in the Thingworx platform it is necessary to restart the tomcat in our experience which is an issue.)Thanks a lot in advance.Best regards,Jiri

I have been looking around everywhere for a understandable install guide to get windchill and navigate working.  The problem I keep running into is that PTC kb has lots of different methods but none seem complete. If you use a combination of them it just seems to make the situation worse. Add to this that the configuration seems to change from build to build and after installing 8.5 something that worked in 1.8 or earlier doesn't seem to work anymore.  This KB is the one that i have followed with the most success. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS247505 But now I'm stuck (for 2 weeks)  Authentication works. I can log in with windchill users. The Thingworx-IntegrationRuntime just doesnt seem to work.  I don't know if its the certificates, the CA certificate order or if its thingworx or apache? Is there some sort of trouble shooting method to get to the root cause? Is there "Picture" of how its all supposed to connect?  Any help will be appreciated. Tha

Hi, I have some problems with configuring SSO. I did all steps on this document https://support.ptc.com/WCMS/files/172779/en/PTC_Single_Sign_on_Architecture_and_Configuration_Overview_Guide.pdf  . I not sure about Scope, i did as on guide WINDCHIILL_READ. Is it right? I have worked through the tutorial of setting up a simple search from saved searches.  What I would like to do is default the saved search to a specific one and not have the saved search list visible. I assume I could call the oid of that search but cannot get that to work.

Hi, Is it safe or good to move directly from ThingWorx 7.3 and Navigate 1.5 to ThingWorx and Navigate 8. Even is it possible as after upgrading I have to import the data and exported entities of Thingworx 7.3 to ThingWorx 8.5? Thanks and regards, Aditya

We are using the Thingview widget on a mashup and want to use the "Views" functionality. The function works fine with the first model (extracting the views from the Thingview, storing as infotable and then binding the list again to the "Views").    However, when we load a new model (changing "ProductToView") the previous views seem to stay in memory and the new views (from the new model) are added to the list. I do not think that this is due to my implementation (have tried many workarounds). The only thing that seems to work is to completely refresh the webpage.   Did anyone experience the same behaviour and is there any known workaround that actually resets the ThingView widget?
