Windchill Navigate

Hello, I am new to thingworx navigate.  I have written a service where it pulls data based on part number. While executing the service. I get below error.   "The requested URL /sslClientAuth/servlet/rest/search/objects was not found on this server". Below is my code snippet.    var params = {type: 'GET',url: me.getRestUrl() + "/search/objects",queryParams: {'$select': properties,'$filter': "number eq '" + number + "'",'navigationCriteria': navigationCriteria,'typeId': selectedTypeId}}; var jsonResult = me.processJSONRequest(params);   can anyone please let me know what's wrong with the code?   Thanks, RPathan

Hello community,   So I have two questions regarding the Navigate / Windchill Extension matter. PTC Navigate 1.3, Thingworx 7.1. When I'm gathering all objects of specific type, e.g. all libraries using Windchill REST API, it returns me a set with libraries that are invisible for my user in Windchill - can it be a bug? What is the set of attributes available to be used in the OData $filter parameter? Because it work e.g. for containerReference, but it does not work for versionInfo.identifier.versionId. I'd like to filter WTDocuments by custom attribute and it seems to be not possible?   Any help appreciated. Regards, J.

Hi All,   I am trying to configure Navigate with Windchill but it is failing with the error in the screeshot attached. Windchill is configured with SSL (tried with both trusted certiicates and self signed certificates) and Navigate is not SSL enabled (http). When validating the connection from Thingworx (ptc-windchill-integration-connector--> services--> ValidateConnection) it is failing. Thanks, Irfan

Hello,   I'm struggling to configure Navigate to only return latest released objects, and hoping someone here knows a solution. I'm using a Saved Search in Windchill with the following criteria:   Iteration = Latest Revision = Latest State = Released   Running this search in Windchill with input of "*TEST*" returns 4 files all latest released which is correct. The same search in Navigate however, results in 7 files including some (not all) older versions of the 4 files. Expectations are that I get the same search results when using the exact same input and Saved Search between Windchill and Navigate.   What's odd is that, if I run a search in Navigate without any wildcards, using the exact Number or Name, then I get the correct result, the latest released file. Seems like older versions are included in the search result when using a wildcard character and/or when there's more than one file that matches criteria. hi guys,I am not able to use 2 or more creo view widgets in single page.It is replacing the previous one. 

In Thingworx Navigate (logged in as admin), I have gone into 'View Part Structure Tailoring' and added 'Quantity' in to the selected attributes.   On viewing the Part Structure Tile and searching for a part number, I can see the Quantity attribute header in the table but no value appears under it. How do I get the values to show?   Thanks in Advance

I'm creating a Thingworx Navigate custom app and need to pass Mashup Parameters to a custom Search mashup using a url. The approach I'm trying to take is similar to what's done by PTC's OOTB Thingworx Navigate Apps... so, once my custom app is selected in the Thingworx Navigate "home page", it would pass some parameters to a Search Mashup.   The issue is that (I think) I can not use the "Navigation" widget for that because the Search Mashup is not called from another "mashup" that I own... it's called from the LandingPageAccessAppMashup (the "home page" of the Thingworx Navigate Apps).

Hello,   To start with, I am beginner in Thingworx. I just had my thingworx 7.1.19 installed with postgres as database. I brought up the UI and can able to navigate around and do basic entity creation like thing, thingtemplate etc...   Now trying to import the PTC Windchill extension (ptc-windchill-extension-1.6) into thingworx, but it fails and all I can see in log is below error message, not sufficient to troubleshoot, not sure what I am missing.   1. Is there any compatibility issue. 2. Hi , I am using below components after referring Navigate Support Matrix document: Thingworx 8.0.1 H2, Thingworx Utilities 8.0.1, Windchill Extension 1.7, Navigate Framework 1.4.1 Windchill 11.0 M030 Note: I have successfully installed patch WCTWXExtension in windchill, I have imported every component and extension without any error as mentioned in guide "Thinworx Navigate Installation and Configuration guide".   I am getting error when I am trying to test the connection by running Validate Connection service in ptc-windchill-integration-connector. ​I am getting status as Failed ​and I am getting some error in application log. I have attached log file. Can anyone guide/help me with this?  

hello ,   I am trying to locally create a setup for configuring and using navigate with windchill,below are my version details which i have installed Thingworx 7.1 Windchill 11 F000 Thingworx Utilities 7.1 BUt wheni go to download the below componenets • Windchill Extension 1.5.0 • Navigate Framework 1.2.1 I am not getting them in the software download section of PTC support from where can i get the specfic versions of navigate framework and windchill extension. Hello All,   I am trying to set up Thingworx Navigate with a Composite Resource Provider. I want to show additional non-windchill attributes in the 'View Part Structure App' along with windchill attributes.   I followed the steps mentioned in 'Navigate Install and Config Guide'. However I am stuck at the last step.   The guide mentions that we have to make the 'Use Composite Provider' radio button visible on the 'PartStructureTailoringContainedMashup' in order to view additional data.   But I am not able to edit the mashup. Have I missed some step? or is there any other way to achieve this?   I would really appreciate any help and guidance. Thanks.   Regards, Madhumita

Hello ,   I have a setup installed with navigate 1.1 and windchill 10.1 Some IBA Values like version is not displaying completely like iteration are not displaying in it . Also in PartListApp the table is not population sharing some of the logs of thingworx . It would be great if anybody could help on the same .   Kind Regards , Amar

I configured HTTPS with a self-signed certificateHowever, ThingWorx has an SSL error.Access to Windchill works fine (https: // <hostID> / Windchill)However, ThingWorx Navigate allows you to log in but an error occurs when importing 3D data.To find out if this is a problem with self-signed certificates, we are looking for a guide to getting SSL certificates for free.I received a Let's Encrypt recommendation from a previous question.But I'm having difficulty with the way I use it on Windows.I found that I had to leave ports 80 and 443 blank, but this is already in use by Windchill. Thank you.Help

We got Navigate and SSL working, but when we turn on SSO tool Siteminder, we get the following error:     Wrapped javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target Cause: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target     Just wondering if anyone else is using Siteminder with Navigate. Hello All,   is there somebody who is able to explain hwo to actived an advanced search for the view part properties or also part structure app in Navigate?   I search for something like the advanced search in windchill where the user is able to use several windchill and also non standard windchill attributes to perfom a search to get the correct object result.   The standard is a bit less (number / name)   Thanks for your answers.

Hi, i tried to installed navigate   commonly windchill has deny access other network users access a windchill only in same network  when i installed navigate 1.4 with ThingWorx 7.3, i tried to access ThingWorx Navigate but occur DNS ERROR   so i have questions  1. must be Windchill & Thingworx installed in same local for using navigate?   2. How to access Navigate on other network?(it will be using reverse proxy? VNS?)   thanks

I am trying to access the LandingPageAccessMashup pf Navigate from a mobile or from a tab ,what are the ways i can do the same.   1.Is it by sharing the URL of the mashup and accessing the same from the browser of the mobile or tablet . 2.And the other one is by creating a custom app from the android sdk provided by thingworx ? 3. Isn't their a OOTB application to use the inbuilt functions of Navigate as in case of thingworx studio their is Thingworx view app .   Kind Regards , Amar

If Navigate server is exposed over internet and Windchill is in intranet is there any problem for accessing windchill data in navigate.

Hello everyone, I have to build a Custom App in PTC Navigate 1.5.2 that can download Windchill representable files (ex pvz, pvs). I already have a Java class that query Windchill and extract representation download URL; now I wondering if it is possible use some service already defined in Navigate or I must write a my own extension.   Another question is how i can develop a Thingworx extension that can use the Windchill API.   Thank you Giorgio

Hello,   I am trying to use PTC Navigate 1.1 for Windchill 10.1 M040. I have successfully installed Thingworx 6.5 which is compatible for Windchill 10.1 M040. Further, I have configured the Thingworx Composer as suggested in Install and Configuration guide of PTC Navigate 1.1. Through the PTC Navigate GUI (PTC.AccessApp.Master mashup), when I try to search on for any option given, the results comes "No results found for entered information." When searched on PTC, found an article regarding installation of Patch for Windchill 10.1 M040, but I have it installed. I cannot browse any Windchill data on Navigate. I have mentioned the URL of Windchill in ptc-windchill-demo-thing on Configuration tab. My Windchill url is http://localhost:90/Windchill. I am searching in Navigate by Administrator account and wcadmin is also added in the Administrator group of Thingworx. Does anyone have knowledge of this or similar experience to understand the efficacy and issues.   Regards, Amar

I am using Thingworx 8.1.1 war file and acquired licenses for navigate and Twx (attached image of the licenses acquired in Licenses.jpeg). I have two apps imported in Twx and which are viewable in Twx 8.0.1, but in Twx 8.1.1 on LandingPageAccessAppMashup I am not able to see any app tiles. I have added 'Administrator' to two navigate user groups available but still I am not able to view those apps.   In help document I found some information written regarding licensing as,      "ThingWorx 8.1 and later requires that a instance-specific license activation ID is added to the platform-settings.json file that is located in the ThingworxPlatform folder. Multiple IDs must be separated by a comma. Activation IDs are provided in the entitlement letter or via the Manage Licenses section of the PTC Support Portal"   I have attached licenses I am able to see in Licensing Sub-system in attached image 'LicensingSubSystem.jpg'.
