3D Part & Assembly Design

In models that use a lot of shrinkwrap, there is a considerable wait time when opening and operating files.Due to the assembly structure, it is not possible to completely eliminate shrinkwrap.I have attached a sample model, so I would appreciate your advice on improving the operation.The sample model is a simple one created for verification purposes. In the actual model, "opening a file" takes about 4 minutes, and other operations take even longer. Also, the operations in the question are only representative ones, and in reality there are many other operations.It would be even better if I could improve it by upgrading my PC's specs. Which parts of my PC should I upgrade? The graphics card, the memory?

HiI have an issue with the visualization of the dimensions in the drawings in Creo 11.0.2.0.The dimensions are not sharp like not perfectly in focus.I have attached one screenshot with the same drawing opened with Creo 7.0.2.0 (left) and Creo 11.0.2.0 (right). There is a big difference for me.I tried with another monitor with higher resolution and the result is the same.Any one can help me?  

Hi, Is it possible to add model representation to family table in order to have a representation for each instance? I'm using Creo 8 I need to create a customized representation for each instance, and I need it to be activated once the instance is opened. 

We have decided to standardize on the quantity split balloon as our standard callout on engineering assembly drawings.  However, the default balloon when placing is the simple circle balloon.   To switch we need to change the table properties every time.  Anyway to make quantity split balloon the standard when dropping them into a drawing?

Hey guysi wounder if has a way of using mapkeys or troutgh the config.pro, of selecting a format for the first sheet of the drw, and a second format for the others sheets.

I can't find how to set the colour of tangent edges in the drawing. Say I have a a simple extrude with fillets (rounds) on the corners: The tangent edges (from the Round feature) appear to be green in the drawing: The tangent edges are dimmed. If i set them to be Solid instead of dimmed, then the tangent edges become black: When I print the drawing (save as PDF) it gomes through with black lines (not green). But I think i have some config.pro setting to ignore pen tables, but i can't remember exactly what exactly it can be. Anyway, it seems to be only a visual thing at the moment, but it is still doesn't look right. I looked through Creo settings, drawing settings, pen table and I seem to be unable to find anything that changes this colour. Can somebody guide me into the right direction? 

I find that the default cut list generated in a drawing on the Framework tab is very unsatisfactory; it creates a new line for each item even when many are identical, it displays the length in the same column as the part name which is not very readable, it does not display angles for mitered ends.Is there a way to customize the standard cut list or generate a satisfactory cut list in a table? I would like to display a table that does the following:1) Collapse identical members and display the quantity of each2) provide cut lengths in a separate column in fractional measurements3) provide columns with the miter angles if necessary 4) Ideally I would not display the part names at all, only the type of structural section in use. (e.g. 2x2x1/4 Tube Sq) I have not been able to locate the source of the default cut list table to see if it can be modified, and I have tried to use a repeat region table but I haven't found the syntax to use to find this information. Thanks very mu

when i run model check all the datums (planes, points, axis, curves) all become greyed out in the model tree and layers. i do not want this i want to see them at all times. i have been told that this is a default setting in Creo from PTC. is there a setting i can change for this?

I want to create a layer for hole notes at the assembly level. This is because many parts do not have a layer for hole notes. An additional problem I have is that we use Windchill and therefore some parts are on release. Does anyone have an idea to solve this?

Dear all,   We are currently working on large assembly drawings. We are encountering some troubles regarding the launch/reaction speed between the different step of the drawing (view, annotation, ...) during the creation. We see that the multi-threading is usable from the version 5.0 so can we have some advices to improve our process?     Many thanks in advance

Using CREO 10 .0.4.0 When we save a drawing that has several sheets it always goes to the last sheet. This seems counterintuitive to us and my users would very much prefer to have the first sheet or the current sheet displayed once the save has happened. I looked for a config option but could only find "Default open drawing sheet"  which controls whether the 1st sheet or the last open sheet is displayed on opening a drawing. Is this just CREO 10 behaviour or is there a way to set CREO so that it doesn't default to the last sheet on saving a multi sheet drawing?

To all Pro/E WF4.0 and Creo5 gurus,Is there a way to use variables inside the paths in a config.pro file?Example: system_colors_file c:\pro\Garland\%USERNAME%\sf\syscol.sclThis does not work. Saved the syscol.scl from inside Pro/E to have old school background. Restarted Pro/E, no beuno.Weird thing is though, the one for trail file location works:trail_dir c:\pro\Garland\%USERNAME%\sfgo figureIf anyone has any insight on this I would appreciate it. I am using Creo Parametric 7.0.  Background:I am producing a mdl/dwg for manufacturing which uses the final machining mdl as a merged part.  I am doing this to create a mdl/dwg template for automation which will be driven by the final machining mdl. Majority of the dimensions from the final machining mdl are needed for the manufacturing dwg. Question:Outside of manually recreating these dimensions in the manufacturing mdl, does anyone know if there is a way to display the dimensions from the merged final machining mdl in the manufacturing dwg? Thank you!

I have reinstalled creo and am getting a display error or have set something incorrectly...The computer should easily fulfill the system requirements, i have already reinstalled it several times and restarted the computer but without success...can someone please help, screenshots and video are attached Thanks in advance

Hello, I would like to to override a few items in a BOM table and keep all the items programed.  I have the following code entered but its not working, I would like "XX" to be renamed to the actual part name "HEX BOLT" Are there any specific settings I need to review?Does the type need to be defined, if so where do I do that? The view contains an assembly with a simplified rep. I'm using Creo 7.0

How I validate my stress results of creo by analytical means?

Lets say I have a Creo part file in engineering. It has multiple combined states, layers, appearance states, MBD dimensions, colors etc etc added to it.  I want to make a copy of this file (for manufacturing) ...that is still linked to the origin engineering file. While also keeping the combined states, MBD dimensions, and colors etc etc of the original engineering file.   One way linked? Where If i change the engineering file...it will alter the manufacturing file, but changing the manufacturing file will NOT change the base engineering file? Is this possible? I was originally thinking of making an assembly. Adding in the original engineering part into the assembly. Then adding in a blank manufacturing part also into the assembly. Then doing a copy/solidify of the engineering file into the manufacturing file.  But I think I will lose all my combined states, colors, etc. Any other workarounds? I'm trying to keep these linked,

I decompiled and compiled the stroked_iso font  and it works but it doesn't work when I modify the isofont.fnt, somebody has any idea?Thank you for your helpRegards Vincenzo

Dear Team, We are using ‘Creo Parametric 7.0’. We have an assembly with the fastener 'Fastener_Metric.prt'. Since it is a standard component, it is controlled using the family table(Refer;'creo_family_table.png'). I would like to exclude ‘Fastener_Metric.prt’ from the section in both 3D and 2D. I excluded ‘Fastener_Metric.prt’ once(refer:'creo_exclude part.png'), but upon changing its instances, it was included in the 2d section. Is there an option to always exclude Fastener_Metric.prt and its instances from the 3D and 2D drawing sections?. Note: Instances will be changed by external configuration software based on user input.   Thanks in advance. Prakash.P
