I fail to select the objects in creo parametric 2.0 almost half of the time and a warning message will pop out saying that"to select the object, hold down Alt key to temporarily disable the selection filters"Just like this one. I don't know what does this mean and what I should do.Can anybody help me fix this problem?

So, inspired by Roland Jakel‌'s presentation, I thought I'd revisit an old analysis and try to re-run it using the fastener functionality.Unfortunately, the analysis ran with "The fastener is invalid" warnings, and resulted in no loads (despite specifying preload).The model is slightly unusual in that there is a deliberate gap which the bolts should pull down once tightened, so I closed the gap to make the surfaces coincident, but this made no difference.The clearance holes are chamfered on both sides, so I suppressed these chamfers (and reinstated the gap) then redefined the fastener references, only to be told that "The fastener references cannot lie on the contacting surfaces."  Well, a) there's a gap so technically the surfaces aren't contacting, and b) how else am I supposed to select the references, if I can't select the open edge of the tapped hole?On a related note, it tells me that I can't put a 6 mm fastener into my M6 tapped (Ø5) hole - should I be modelling my tapped h

Hello there,Here is the thing, I have a frame that I want to analize under load while it is lifted, for that puspose I set a weighted link constrain, so that the frame is "hanged" and the load applied.Now, in order to stabilize it I added a soft spring (5 in lb ) at each corner, i used a ground spring,See picture attachedok, once the results are gotten the displacement is up to 1929 Inches which means that weighted link is not working, it seems that just the srpings are sopporting the frame and the load.you will see also, that the stresses are generated at the spring connectionDoes anyone knows why is this issue?I really appreciate any help on thisBest regards

Hello,I have a top assembly that is crashing Creo every time I open it.I highly suspect that the cause of this crash is due to parts assembled with a reference pattern. This has happened a couple of times before and I'm getting used to recognizing it. I can open all the subassemblies and parts without any crash. I can also roll back to a previous iteration of my top assembly it opens fine.The problem now is that I lose a considerable amount of info because I have to roll back pretty far.Here is where I'm asking for your help. Is there a way where I can edit the top assembly and remove the reference patterns without opening it in Creo?I was thinking about editing the source code of the top assembly, but I don't how to get a program to decipher the .asm files. I've tried opening the file with a fresh install of Notepad++ and the body of the file is nonsense.Thanks

Hi, yesterday i opened my project made with the academic edition at school with my creo 2.0 student edition at home. It showed me a message of warning like "some modifies couldn't be applied to the model". I tried to use it anyway and today at school with academic edition for all file of my project (some of that i never opened at home) creo, at the opening tells me a warning "some modifies made by student edition couldn't be seen". And all the .asm can't be regenerated for the same problem. I think when i used student edition creo automatically setted every file like "modified by student edition". Is there a method to solve this problem or i lost all my files and i have to use only academic for the feature?

I have a couple of questions regarding the 2D Offset Section option in the Drawing.I am running CREO 3.0  M090I have created an offset section in my Assembly using the View Manager.the Sketch defining this offset section is a closed rectangle.when I exit the definition phase I get a warning "Created section must be open chain with two ends".The resulting offset section is exactly what II want.when I apply this Offset section to a Drawing view, I get exactly what I want in the Drawing.what does the warning "Created section must be open chain with two ends" mean?Does a closed offset section cause problems downstream?I am a little confused since CREO 3.0 lets me make these offset sections and apply them to a Drawing view.What am I missing here?

I have a question about distributed batch.  I need to import several thousand parts that are SolidWorks parts and assemblies.  I want to use the distributed batch to convert the files to Creo Parametric.  I have no issue getting the batch to run and convert the files but I need to have the files read our templates. This way the files will be compatible with our draiwng formats and other function.  I see that there is a line within the batch file for configuration files and point to the config.pro that has the template file options set but this does not correct the issue.   Does anyone have a solution? Can I use distributed batch and have it work like a manual import?  By the way, manually importing files works as I would expect.  Thank you for the help!

Hello!I am calculating a truss simulation of a 3d Structure with L-Profiles.I have set the idealizations for beams, constraint sets, loads, etc.After the Statich analysis, I can review the Max VM Stress in Fringe model and it is 47 MPaThen I have put some measures (Of Max VM Stress) in some critical points (or beams) and the Max Stress ist 54,1 MpaI have checked the Max VM Stress in the Study Status (where all the predefined Measures are shown) and the Max VM Stress is 52,9 MPa( I think it is near of my Measure, but I don't know really where)Why is the Fringe model not showing the real Max VM Stress?Thank you in advance

Dear Community,I just installed the educational (student) version of Creo 3.0. After opening any file from the part community or creating a new file I get the warning that my student version is not capable of opening the files, since I am using the student version. So which files can I open - since I can not even create a new file. The program is directly closing after the warning.
