I read that Creo 4.0 is available for download since December 15 but even today if I log in and go to "Order or download Software Updates" I can only see up to Creo 3.0. Is there some trick to force the refresh of the list (I remember something like this in the past) or is Creo 4.0 not available right now? Our company has active maintenance.

I'm wondering if you MBD practitioner folks out there can provide an opinion upon a point of view that is prevailing right now at my division regarding usage of models to document assemblies.The 2D situation is that many assembly drawings are considered to not show so much detail of the underlying parts as to demand a new version is generated as sub-components are iterated. Thus it is currently deemed perfectly acceptable to have a 2D PDF of an assembly drawing that is technically built from an OOD configuration. We say things like 'the assembly drawing is only intended to act as guidance for assembling' and 'specs for lower level parts are controlled by separate lower level design outputs'So now we fast forward to MBD or in our eyes 3D model based definition to be clearer. The same logic apparently results in a conflict because the definition of the assembly is much higher a viewer can e.g. isolate a single component and then end up 'confused' or worse. Is there a way to control text size in MBD? Especially frustrating with a family table that has small and large parts. Appears Creo defaults to a text size dependent on the model size.

Frankly, the text editor s#(ks.  I found the older one in the last version I used (creo elements / pro 5.0) outdated and clunky, but it worked.  This new one is flat infuriating.  Am I stuck with it?  I have trouble reading it and/or manipulating it.  It seems to "time out" when you're trying to change text size etc.Also, I really don't find dwg mode that much better than that "worst EVER" ribbon interface in the old version, if at all.  I just started using dwg mode, but, so far, I am NOt impressed.  Even the old WF interface was better......Ugh!

This weekend I was tasked with modifying a piece made almost entirely of boundary blends. Typically this wouldn't be an issue and an easy fix but this time the BB's are dependent on other BB's. My model tree is almost entirely BB's. I don't have a lot of experience with these as I'm usually designing with solids. The biggest problem here is that the surfaces that need changing are smack dab in the middle of the model tree. They are not grouped together either, for example Boundary Blend 8, 9, 13, 15, and 27 need to be changed. Is it possible to lock these BB's in place or somehow reference them to other geometry without the entire model failing?

Hello To All,When you are assembling items in Creo, and you have to use angle offset. You have to use negative value, but as soon as you hit regenerate it jumps to the positive value. Is there a way to get it where it will stay the negative value?Thanks Billy

Hi folks,I have a question about using mapkeys - in different creo languages.Problem: I create mapkey in Creo (German version) - with the mapkey, I need to select old drop down menu (all expresion are in the German), but if I open the mapkey - system wrote everything in the original English version.For example: #SHOW;#ERASE;Result: I can not use this mapkey, because system looking for English expresion >> no German.Can you help me with configuration option for this problem?Thanks,Vladimir

OK so it's Sunday & I am trying to get some freaking work done.  Creo 3.0 is absolutely one the worst release for that.   Bugged out POS software.   No improvements IMO since WF 4.0 M060.  I need an unfolded section that was created in the model as an offset section.  I also require the cutting plane line in the proper view so it's clear what I am trying to detail. So the old was was to create the first view, project the second view, then make the second view the unfolded section, put the arrow display on the first view, right?  Nope, it;s grayed out, can't do that.  So make the send view general, show the unfolded full section... but if I try to use the arrow display it hoses everything up, losing the unfolded section. On top of that, the view bugged itself out somehow, flipping 90 degrees, messing up detail view that was COMPLETE.  Loss of 30 mins of work, plus more time wasted with my rant here. Hi,We usually use the Z03 reference (Hasco) as ejector guide, but in the "Assembly Definition"->"Ejector Guide" this type doesn´t appear. Is it possible to add it?
