We are struggling a bit with some "not very good" practices that are implemented  by PTC in C++ Object Toolkit API. First is bad&ugly define which collides with default type from standard library. So inside of  ciptype.h at line 68 we have  # define optional which obviously is in conflict with std::optional (see cppreference) Second a bit strange approach we may find in: cipxobj.h and xstring.h both at line 17 using namespace std; According to not only CPP reference but to well known best practices it's bad idea: (see cppreference)The using-directive using namespace std; at any namespace scope introduces every name from the namespace std into the global namespace (since the global namespace is the nearest namespace that contains both std and any user-declared namespace), which may lead to undesirable name collisions. Hello,I purchased an upgrade to Mathcad 14.0 some years ago (2013, personal purchase, not a company). I installed the software on my PC at the time. In about 2017 I purchased a new PC and never installed Mathcad on it as I did not need it then.I now live at a different address, have a different landline phone number and a different PC (compared to 2013). I have just tried to install Mathcad 14.0 and the software installed OK, but it cannot connect to the license. I have reset my password and have been able to log onto the PTC site to send this message, but I cannot get Mathcad working.Can you advise on how I can resolve this issue?Regards,KH.

Hello, I have a part similar to the one attached that I need to create three cutaways on in the same view. I am using the zone function to create them and am having some trouble. Using planes, I have figured out how to get two of them, but I can't seem to get the third. I have marked in red the location of the third cutaway in a screeshot below. Is there a way using the logic in the zone definition I can get the third in the same zone? Also, is there a way to edit the hatching on the zone? Thanks,

Hello All, I have a function that create a CSYS from another CSYS. It works fine when I use the command ProSelect and use the ProSelection in the function. ProError CreateCSYS(ProName name, ProMdl mdl, ProSelection CSYSREF, double tranX, double tranY, double tranZ, double rotX, double rotY, double rotZ) {} Now, I'm trying to create de CSYS without asking for the selecion prompt from the user.I'm trying to get the ProFeature of the CSYS and use the command ProFeatureSelectionGet(). But it doesn't work. I tryied many diferent ways and none worked. How can I get the ProSelection of a CSYS to use in my function without asking it for the user? I'm using Creo 8.0.10

When I try to 'Activate' my license in Mathcad (from Mathcad Express), it asks for my Product Code. Other 'Help' solutions pointed to the confirmation email, which mine does not contain the product code. Also, a link was provided to another site, but that site is in 'Maintenance'. Is there another way to find my product code?  

I received a license to use while the estore was down from a representative, but it only worked when connected to the wifi I set it up with. Now I purchased the mathcad student prime version, but still, it only works with whatever wifi I am connected to when I set it up and get only express version everywhere else. Is there a way to fix this? I paid for the license and need to be able to use it in different settings.

So, recently Mathcad wouldn;t open, I deleted it, then installed again but this time changed the file location. Now, I can't open any worksheet, if I don't go in the app, Open, and then select the worksheeet. Also, the worksheet in the activity bar or its location doesn't show the Mathcad icon. What can I do to fix this problem?

Hello community, I've been researching the possibility to plug in the output from Creo Mold Simulation (Warpage & Fiber Orientation) into Creo Simulate. It seems PTC hasn't created that capability and they seem to be suspiciously silent about it, either due to the complexity to implement it or lack of knowledge on how powerful this could be for our design and analysis, as they seem to have everything on hand to add this feature. If someone knows a solution or workaround to use CMA and Simulate together let me know. Thanks!,JD

In a Creo Illustrate Figure, is it possible to have a section view only displayed in the inset? I do not want the section view on the main parent model in the figure view, only the section view.

Hello everybody I just installed Creo 9.0 on my computer. The installation didn't end well since I have a message saying the installation of virtual c++ redistribuables failed.I could not find the reason why.So I installed directly the visual ++ package, from Microsoft site, and it wen't well.But as I try to launch Creo 9 parametrics 9.0.0.0, with the shortcut that appeared on my desktop, the hourglass briefly changes and return to its normal aspect, and nothing happens : Creo won't start.Could anyone tell me if you see any solution, or even a log file to look into to understand what happens ?Many thanks in advance for your help. 

My company is starting to use the wiring side of Creo and to stream line things in the future is it possible to make a template for the harness drawings? I'd like to have the bottom right corner to look similar to how a solid part drawing would look and have tables ready to put the BOM. Is this something that is possible or worth it to save time?

The CAD data is saved on shared drive. When we open the drawings and click on Table Menu, it shows the spinning logo initially and creo goes in not responding mode for around 20-30 min. I am using the Creo 2 M120. I have tested this issue with M070 and it shows the same behavior. This happens on Dell and HP hardware.   Any idea or suggestion will be helpful.   Thanks in Advance.

I am using CREO 10.0.7.0 and on the drawing sheet. I have to edit a bom table .tbl file to modify the template to my needs.I want to move a column or copy and paste the contents to a new column created at the desired position.  I also want to edit the column width to match text size automatically.How can I do this task?

How can you propagate layer status of a subassembly into a parent assembly. In other words, when a certain display selection for layers is made in the subassembly, I want the layer display to appear the same way when this subassembly is assembled in its parent assembly. Even with the "propagate status" checked in the layer tool menu, this is not working as expected. It used to work fine in Creo 4, I'm currently using Creo 8.
