I wanted to enable same numbering logic as Windchill OIR on File Name attribute in Creo while creating new object in Creo. With current configuration CAD Objects are creates e.g. PRT002.PRT as shown below : I already can create CAD object as per my define OIR as below : Please help me to get Windchill OIR configure to Creo to create CAD objects with same numbering scheme.
I typically do all my work in a textbox and recently I cannot copy equations and text together and paste below inside the textbox. I would do this all the time but now it doesn't work. I can copy from a textbox and paste outside the text box, but this is inconvenient. Anyone have any insight into why this may be happening now? Thanks.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.7.0I want to understand how to use the Find tool. If I look for Curve Features and leave an asterisk in the Value field in the Criteria section, the list shows a lot curves found in the model, presumably all of them. It looks like all or most of the curves start with F, like F103(BASE_CIRCLES). But if I type F* in the Value field, zero results appear.I want to understand how this makes sense. Because I want to understand how to use the Find tool effectively. I knew I was trying to find F103, but I didn't know the full name was F103(BASE_CIRCLES). How am I suppose to use the Find tool to find it if the asterisk doesn't work how it normally does? Am I suppose to read through the list of all curves until I find the one I'm looking for? Surely that isn't the case.
Hello Mathcadeers,I am trying to polynomial curve fitting, but could not find any good example on how to do it.let say I have the following. How do I create a function y1(x1)? Seems Mathcad function "polyfit" function is not the right one.Thanks. Regards,Ak
I created a local section view on a model back view and I can't get the spline that demarcates the edges of the section view to show up. The spline only appears when I have the dialogue box open for editing the view. As soon as I close out the box, the spline disappears but the section remains. I would like the spline to remain on the view. How can I do this?

Hello all,is it normal for the line style (e.g. centerline) to change when you place an Inset? Can this be changed or switched off? I have placed a bolt with screw and centre line on a DIN A4 page size. When I insert an Inset B, the centrerline style changes. In addition, the line style in the Inset (zoom) is completely different. It is far too small in this case, although it should not actually change despite positive or negative zoom. And if it does, the distances should at least become larger (and not smaller) with a positive zoom. The line style: Placing a bolt and a srew on a DIN A4 page size: Insert a Inset B with zoom < 1: Making the zoom >1: Can this behavior be changed? Best regardsRamon(Siemens Energy)
Hello, I'm an intermediate Java developer and I'm curious about how to use extrusion and other commands with the Toolkit class. I've gone through the documentation but couldn't find a clear solution. If anyone has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Hi everyone, I stop using Creo after 22 years and want like to share all my training videos (with practice parts) to Creo community. You can watch it for free on Youtube. I created the playlist as below - Creo 3.0 Essential - Creo 3.0 Advance Drawing - Creo 3.0 Mold Design - Creo 4.0 3X Mill - Creo 6.0 Essential (90% same with Creo 3.0 Essential) - Creo 6.0 Product Design - Creo UDF & Family Table - Creo Tip & Trick (Part 1) - Creo Tip & Trick (Part 2) - Creo Tip & Trick (Part 3) All video is in Vietnamese but you can find the summary of content for each clip in the clip's description. Sorry for this inconvenience Hoang Khuong
HI all, I got a bunch of quite complex sketches, that serve as gasket centerline in the part. to better see them in the skeleton model assembly, I changed properties of those sketches to a random, different than default appearance. then, as I wanted to go back to their previous style , I've drawn a new sketch and in properties of the sketch copied the style from existing and selected that new entity.result is far from expected, as now I have a line, that is visible the same in 3d, but in different color inside the sketcher compared to fresh sketch. Any tips in resetting the line style of entities that were changed to default style without the need to re-draw all of them again ?
Hello,I have been trying to debug this for a while and cannot figure it out. Was hoping someone here could help me.Creo parametric version: 10.0.4Creo Distributed batch version: 10.0.4 What I am trying to do: I have many part files with different names that are 2D curves. I want to export those part files to dxf without opening the files one by one and saving them. What I have done so far:I could not get the proper export of the part files to dxf without opening the part as a drawing first. I created a mapkey that opens the current part as a drawing template with the correct view and scale, then saves that drawing as a dxf. The mapkey works when run manually and does save me time. However, I wanted to speed up the process further by using Creo distributed batch to run that mapkey on all the parts. I have found a way to do this in theory using the mapkey.TTD option in Creo distributed batch. I opened the TTD as text and modified it accordingly so it would run my mapkey (-d
Hello,I actually want to plot an if function for a certain range of numbers. I have tried to generate the values via a loop, but it just won't run.I actually want to plot the if function for values between 0 and 1.I'm sure it's quite simple, but somehow I'm stuck.Best regards and many thanks
HiI just started in calculating on transformers, and i have the problem i cant get Mathcad to calculate in VA (volt*amp) I've searched the net sadly without any results.I also have the same problem with a method to get the right results for VAR.S = VAP = WQ = VARI've tried to use the attached document, but i still only gets it out in W (watts)Hope someone can help me out, because i've soon given up.RegardsRasmus Skjøtt
Dimensioning Creo 9 2D. Attach geometric tolerance to dimension. How does that work in Creo 9. I have users that are having trouble getting start files. When creating new parts they only get the PTC supplied defaults. They also do not see the Pro/Library option when opening files. They are able to navigate to the Windchill templates manually and open so access isn't an issue. The config pro and sup being used are the same as every other user as they use a start up script. Windchill server is setup the same. We have tried clearing the windchill workspace cache and reinitializing the server connection. Any ideas?
HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD MATHCAD?I AM TRYING TO GET THE LINK FOR A LONG TIME

I really nedd the files for my PhD project. Can someone help me with converting the old mathcad file to mathcad prime 7 file? Thank you Tadele
Hello,I am looking for a way to calculate the number of unique component types (excluding duplicates) in an assembly and automatically display this value in a drawing using parameters in Creo Parametric. The goal is to achieve something like the red box in the attached image, where the number of unique components (e.g., ) is calculated and shown. If a part is used multiple times (e.g., the same part number), it should still be counted as one unique type.3Questions:How can I create a parameter that calculates the number of unique component types in an assembly? What steps are needed to insert this parameter into a drawing? Are there any additional Relation settings or tips required to make this work? Example Image Description:The red box in the image shows where I want the number of unique component types (e.g., 3) to appear in the drawing.I would greatly appreciate detailed steps or examples to help implement this. Thank you in advance!
I need to convert a file, but I'm concerned about not being able to convert the hundreds of old files that I have as well. When I tried to convert the file, I got this error message.I've verified that the framework in installed. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it.I've rebooted the computer, ran updates, and rebooted again. I still get the same error message. I assume a security update has broken something, but I'd really like to get the capability back.
Looking for documentation for the me10.ini file.

I`d like to define the size of any random screw for my modelling purpose using an excel sheet. Is it possible? If yes, could anyone please explain the process of it?
Hi,I created the attached sheet to generate a histogram using the chart component. If anyone has suggestions for shorter code to achieve this or notices any errors in mine, I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
