Hello all, I am having issues with incomplete boundaries formed when I apply seperate mesh parameters to two parts. This mesh size difference is required due to the size of the part and fluid transfer taking place in the pipes (it's a cold plate).This incomplete boundary means that there is almost no thermal transfer between the two parts as the meshes don't actually touch the majority of the time. Both parts are meshed with different parameters in both relative and absolute terms but with zero minimum cell size, and done via 'update', so my belief was that they should follow a common boundary. Is there a technique I should use to ensure consistent boundaries with the seperate mesh parameters? Below are a couple of images. The X-section shows a clear disconnect between the two meshes, and the coloured plot shows the blue general boundary that has suceeded between the two parts.  Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have spent many hours trying to solve th

Hi there, How can I draw the lines with specific points... in pervious thread we draw them each 200 m >>> Can it be drawn in specific distance using these values ( using the metreage values)I tried to change the markers  and then I need to find the distance between these new lines and all the (Se-CPTs) points .  the distance between  the green point and the nearest metreage line And then showing them in a plot .BTW>> I start using mathcad prime 10Everytime I struggle in mathcad I say I will do it myself , but it is new concept eachtime and I can't reach what I need without your help. I’m wondering if it’s possible to perform FEM simulations with the student version of Creo 11, specifically for lattice structures. Does the student version support this type of simulation? Also, is there a way to export lattice structures from Creo to Ansys Workbench for FEM analysis? Standard formats like STEP and IGES don’t work for transferring these detailed structures. If anyone has experience or knows of an alternative method for exporting lattice geometries to Ansys, I’d appreciate any advice!

It has multiple combined states, layers, appearance states, MBD dimensions, colors etc etc added to it.  I want to make a copy of this file (for manufacturing) ...that is still linked to the origin engineering file. While also keeping the combined states, MBD dimensions, and colors etc etc of the original engineering file.   One way linked? Where If i change the engineering file...it will alter the manufacturing file, but changing the manufacturing file will NOT change the base engineering file? Is this possible? I was originally thinking of making an assembly. Adding in the original engineering part into the assembly. Then adding in a blank manufacturing part also into the assembly. Then doing a copy/solidify of the engineering file into the manufacturing file.  But I think I will lose all my combined states, colors, etc. Any other workarounds? I'm trying to keep these linked,

Dear Team, We are using ‘Creo Parametric 7.0’. We have an assembly with the fastener 'Fastener_Metric.prt'. Since it is a standard component, it is controlled using the family table(Refer;'creo_family_table.png'). I would like to exclude ‘Fastener_Metric.prt’ from the section in both 3D and 2D. I excluded ‘Fastener_Metric.prt’ once(refer:'creo_exclude part.png'), but upon changing its instances, it was included in the 2d section. Is there an option to always exclude Fastener_Metric.prt and its instances from the 3D and 2D drawing sections?. Note: Instances will be changed by external configuration software based on user input.   Thanks in advance. Prakash.P

Using Creo Parametric 10.0.4.0 I'm drawing a welding assembly and I've got welds that have arrows going through parts of the assembly.I would like to add jogs to the arrows so I can route them around the part instead. Is there any way to do this?And is there a way to move the weld symbol to another plane whilst keeping the arrows as they are. Right now, when I move the weld symbol to another plane, all the arrows move to that same plane and are no longer connected to the actual welds.Hope you can help me out! 🙂

How to enable 'Advanced Assembly Extension' by default whenever Creo is opened. We had Creo 7 previously where it was enabled always. After upgrading to Creo 9, we have to go options and enable the extension manually every time we open Creo. What setting we need to change to get it enabled permanently.

Hi CREO experts, I'm setting up new templates for my company and now I'm stuck with a font size problem probably refering to a din.dtl option. (CREO 9.0)We're using ISO Tolerance tables for shafts and holes and there is one problem with the display of the tolerances.I've set the tol_text_height_factor to 0.5. That works for all +/- tolerances, but not the limits. (see attached file)PlusMinus: Limits: As you can see the font size in the "Limit" display in the brackets is 1.0 but I want to have it 0.5 like in the "PlusMinus"Does anyone know the din.dtl or config.pro option to have the "Limits" display style the same as "Plus Minus"? Thanks in advance
