Anyone try to define a BSP or BSPT thread in Creo? Do we try custom tools or maybe define it as a tapered mill? Even without any check surfaces the tap I defined will not go past the start surface.
Hi Folks,Is there a way to customize/tailor the Bill of Materials report in assembly mode so that the headers can be specified as parameters? For example, instead of the default column header 'Name' I would like it to be 'Title'. I would also like to create additional column headers. Thank you.
Hi there, I'm receiving the error "file type not supported" when trying to open an old mathcad file. I've attached the file, could you please assist.
I’ve found an alternative to expensive post processors for Creo. I’ve been testing ManusNC and it’s pretty good. Easy to develop your own post processor for any machine tool and supports Creo NC. Check it out;https://manusnc.com/enFor a five axis post it cost $1500 without a need for yearly subscription. Hundreds of premade posts ready to go. Simple web interface to create a post.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.3.0; in a single view, the hatch of a section is not completely shown. In a different view with the same charatheristics, the hatch is correctly shown.
I am currently running the trial version of Mathcad Prime 11.0.1.0 (I think only a few days left) to evaluate its capabilities for solving multiple equations with multiple unknowns. I want to verify that it will produce the results that I need before purchasing the software. I have run into a problem getting Mathcad to solve the system equations symbolically. I have looked around the internet for community information on this aspect of Mathcad but have not found anything that addresses my specific topic. The problem to which is seek a solution arises when modeling the impact between two bodies. Using the impulse-momentum formulation of Newton's 2nd law gives me 6 equations and six unknowns with a point mass (no rotational inertia) impacting a point mass. I put this system into Mathcad and used the solve feature and it produced the desired result. My file is attached. You will see that I took the solution equations Mathcad produced and ported them over to calculate the numeri
Hello, I want to perform a forced conversion of Assembly to WAssembly in the asynchronous invocation mode. Currently, I am relying on the pfcasync.jar. I noticed that there is no WAssembly in it. What should I do?java.lang.ClassCastException: class com.ptc.pfc.Implementation.pfcAssembly$Assembly cannot be cast to class com.ptc.wfc.wfcAssembly.WAssembly (com.ptc.pfc.Implementation.pfcAssembly$Assembly and com.ptc.wfc.wfcAssembly.WAssembly are in unnamed module of loader 'app') at com.po.creo.service.impl. Method.invoke(Method.java:580) ~[na:na] at org.springframework.web.method.support.InvocableHandlerMethod.doInvoke(InvocableHandlerMethod.java:258) ~[spring
Mathcad Prime 10 A few years ago, I found this great Mathcad wrapper (GitHub - usnistgov/REFPROP-wrappers: Wrappers around NIST REFPROP for languages such as Python, MATLAB, etc.) for NIST REFPROP 10 where I can call properties using a script. This has been a game changer for me. The issue is that not all fluids that I need are available to me, (DMAc or MMA for example) in REFPROP.Does anyone know of a DIPPR/Diadem Mathcad wrapper out there that works well? Thanks
Hi, I have been trying to get this non-linear gear dynamics system of ODE's to solve but for the life of me cannot seem to correct the errors. The attached sheet has several attempts at the end to write the equations and initial conditions in different formats but all give "too few initial conditions" or a"floating point error". Like most programming errors its probably glaringly simple!Any assistance would be appreciated.Regards,Ross
New to PTC community but long time user of mathcad. I need to get the Roarks formula's for stress and strain ebook but as best I can tell from the forums it is no longer provided with mathcad AND it's not available on the forums for download (or on the web as best I can tell). Is this correct? TIA
I want an algorithm that generates the function [a,b,c}=unique(Y) although there are forums what I need is for it to be only with structural control sequences if else for while etc but not advanced functions of either Matlab or from mathcad since when you want to replicate the function elsewhere it is complicated, it would be appreciated if you have a way to do it What would the mathcad programming of this algorithm be like as it is in the image so it is easier to carry out the function?
Hi there!I 'm trying to master the slider advanced control option to see how my goal function will be changed. On the PTC support page, I have found only the 2-axis plot sample:https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r10.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/example_slider.html#wwID0EIKIPB It looks like the upgraded version of Prime 10.0.0 probably has some bugs, or it is impossible to obtain such an option.I've attached the function sample (Prime 10.0.0), which I'd like to observe using the advanced control button (slider).Any advice or assistance will be appreciated.
I've created a J-Link application, which has a swing GUI. On click of a UI command button, I'm creating a part files (simulating File--> New Part). The same thing when wanted to simulate through a swing GUI in synchronous mode, the GUI gets created, but when I push the button in the GUI, the GUI hangs. Can any one help me in making the swing GUI work with PROE?class MenuButtonListener extends DefaultUICommandActionListener { public void OnCommand() { try { //This works Session curSession = pfcGlobal.GetProESession(); Model tryModel = curSession.CreatePart("Testing"); tryModel.Display(); //This doesn't work //How to make it work csProe.StepToProeGui.createAndShowGUI(); } catch (Exception x) { STEP_TO_PROE.printMsg("something wrong: " + x); x.printStackTrace(); System.out.println("------------------------------------"); } }}
We have a large number of installed users that use Mathcad 15 on a regular basis. Just recently, a few have been noticing that selecting File|Save from the main menu is NOT saving the updates to their files. You can imagine our concern. It's intermittent and I cannot reproduce it myself on my desktop, but I'm hearing it from enough of our users that I think it's real. It could very well be something to do with our environment and not be a Mathcad issue at all, but it is concerning. We're running Mathcad 15 M045 and one of the keys is that the attempted save it to a network drive, not a physical drive on the desktop machine. Has anyone by any chance run across anything similar? Thanks!
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Just noticed that Mathcad 15.0 M050, released specifically for Windows 10, has an odd printing issue. To PCL printers and PDF files, it appears that the font characters are all using a negative fixed character spacing on the order of -0.01 to -0.06. This "bunches" up the characters and pushes them all toward the left. I thought my eyes were going buggy because it is subtle, but when I print and examine a PDF, this negative character spacing is easy to analyze. Negative kerning is used for type-setting, but not uniformly on every character. It doesn't seem to matter which printer or which font or font size I use. I do not see this behavior with M045 on Windows 7. I don't know yet if it's a Mathcad issue or a Windows 10 issue (although all other apps print just fine). .NET maybe? I have a ticket open with PTC, but wondered if anyone else is seeing this, or has a clue as to wh
When you are trying to install Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager on a Server with multiple network interfaces, it is a more a gamble than a real specified process, whether the installation will succeed or not.Even when you have succeeded in installing Model Manager on a server with multiple network interfaces you may get wrong answers from the http://<server>:9898/ port, where IP-address is mentioned again.....In the past the typical server within a CAD installation had one network interface working (simply unhooking the cable) and everything goes fine.In the meantime you will encounter other configurations:1.) network interface to the management net2.) network interface to the production net (e.g. 1GBit)3.) network interface to the production net (e.g. 10GBit)4.) network interface via the USB connection to the KVM system used for dealing with problems standing directly in front of the rack.* When the algorithm within the product selects the wrong interface during the insta
Hi,I have a large assembly and would like to create a clear, step-by-step single animation. I am planning to use different simplified representations to generate clean exploded views for each stage of the animation. However, in the Animation window, I can only see options to control explode states, timing, and view orientation. I do not see any option to control or switch simplified representations.Could you please let me know if there is a way to operate or include simplified representations within the animation sequence?I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions. Kind Regards,Sunil Kotte
I've got an odd one and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this/has a solution? I have been using Creo 11 parametric with an educators licence. Yesterday I was creating a fairly basic drawing, upon saving the drawing it crashed on me (this isn't a regular occurrence). When attempting to re-open the drawing it 'loaded' but nothing was displayed, no template, model or annotations. I closed the program and tried to open different drawing, but this time only the template and annotations loaded in, no model visible. Loading parts and assemblies also became difficult, with components not rendering properly. Often models would load in only as wireframe even if a shaded option was selected, also on occasion large orange triangles will be displayed around the part? After trying various options I uninstalled Creo 11 and re-installed with Creo 12. I am finding that the same issue is still occurring? The drawings sometimes load in partially/completely if I open the part f
I have a simple part (modeled by somebody else or imported). It has some phantom lines that I can't hide.In 3D model space, If I set to "wireframe, no hidden" there are still hidden lines that shine through.Same thing happens if I make a drawing from this part.It may be a configuration setting rather than part issue, since the lines do not show up on other people's machines. Creo 11.Any help will be appreciated.
Hi experts i have doosan s310 smly mill turn with fanuc series 18-t control..i need post processor for creo.
Hello everyone, when Ι try to install creo parametric 12.4.0.0 Ι get this message and the creo parametric cant fully installed. Ι have try to install the latest java and the java 21 and still have the same problem. And then the pop up window shows about that my hardware cant be qualified for the photo render studio but when Ι run the hardware check utility , it shows that my hardware is qualified as you can see for those in the attached files. Please give me an advice for how to solve that problem.Thank you
I normaly use odesolve in a solve block. However, I.m struggling to learn how to use the other ODE solvers with units. I asked AI to provide an example. Sadly, the AI example also failed. Typical (cryptic error messages: Mathcad Prime 11 file attached.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.12.0The mapkey doesn't wait for the simulation to end in the Material Removal (Module Works).Once the simulation is started in the Module Works window, all buttons except the Stop button are disabled until the simulation ends. How can I add a script to the mapkey that queries the window and waits for the simulation to end? Thanks
Hi All, When applying tolerances to dimensions, if I select Symmetric the box is greyed out so I can't enter a value. When I select Plus-Minus only one box appears for the minus value. This problem has just appeared and is present if I try to alter the tolerance on the model or the drawing. I have Creo 5 and 11 installed on my PC and the problem is present in both versions even though they read different config files. When My Colleague opens the files on his PC the problem isn't present. Symmetric selected:Plus-Minus selected: Any help greatly appreciated! Kind regards, Clive
