I'm trying to set up a design study where I rotate a crankshaft and the load vectors and magnitudes vary based on the rotation angle. I was told I could create a user parameter, which is the angle, and then link the load values and/or directions to the angle parameter using relations. So when the angle value changes, the loads change accordingly. Can someone show me how I would write a relation like that? or Does someone have another way to do this? Currently the crankshaft is an assembly file where the load vector is defined with a coordinate system. So when the assembly angle (crankshaft angle) is changed the csys changes to apply the bearing load at the correct vector.
Hey, I have a few mapkeys where I use the pause with the resume prompt/popup. (I've included a picture for clarity) There is no need to hit cancel but if you do click cancel instead of "Resume" it leaves you in an undesired state. The preferred fix would be to remove the "cancel" button entirely and only show "Resume". Is this possible and if so, how. I've tried modifying lines in the config file with no luck so far. Thanks!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.6.0After installing PTC Creo (11.00.07), I attempted to open various files. However, only assembly (.asm) and part (.prt) files will open. When I view a part, the background is completely black. Here are the errors that I facedNo error messages. but Despite successfully creating and saving new sketches, the part view still shows a black background. Changing appearance settings did not resolve the issue. I still could not visit the part
Hi,I looked through the API guide and downloaded the examples. The last part of the code displays 'output1' in message box. It does not have example on how to show the matrixoutput1.Can you help with this? I need to get matrix from the sheet.
Is it possible to add a Datum Reference Frame CSY to an annotation state? If its not supported now, what work-arounds are people currently using? To my understanding, the DRF must be displayed in the model IAW Y14.41 (2018) Section 11.2.1. DRF's were optional in Y14.5, but are required in Y41.41. I haven't been successful with "Reference" feature on the Model Tab, or the "Establish DRF" in GDT Advisor. Example Image from Creo 12Excerpt from Y14.41 for example display of DRF's.
Hey there. I've been trying all sorts of different ways to try and get this solver to work. Different errors depending on the way I approach it. I believe it should solve. None working. all help would be amazing. Really the two outputs i care about are R_o and h_2.Thanks!
Hi Folks,I can't find the butt weld option in the welding application ribbon. Any idea where this would be?Thank you.
Hi,with Creo Parametric 12 have you ever seen prohibition sign from event manager staying at the bottom of the bar even if i've already check the issue from event management?thanks
Hello there,As you can see , i am trying build a simple full asynchronous mode of toolkit application to connect to a running creo session, later i will try to fetch the component details. But as off now i am stuck with this errors , can anyone help me. 1) I am not sure if i have included correct libraries in project settings.2) stuck in these errors is there any manual to dive deep to study on full asynchronous mode
PTC is adding AI capabilities into Creo. I wonder what capabilities you hope to see in a Creo NC AI integration? - speeds and feeds calculation - tool creation based on part topology - sequence creation - optimize toolpath approach and exit - reuse a machining strategy from prior - check for errors and collision - etc Let me know in the comments
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.6.0I have a part 1 (single body .prt) in which I cut the volume of a part 2 (single body .prt) through a boolean operation. After having modified the part 2, I updated the part 1: the part 2 positionning into part 1 was modified, the part 2 is turned upside-down into part 1.How to (re)define the positionning of part 2 relatively to part 1?
Some industry specs tool short cuts in the annotations which may not translate well to the 3D annotation rules. I'm wondering if some teams have already addressed these? O-ring GrooveHydraulic PortsO-ring GrooveThe standard o-ring groove dimensions often to to a virtual sharp condition. Regular o-rings have virtual sharps at the bottom and dovetail have virtual sharps at the top. Do you use virtual geometry, or special notes, or convert the tolerances to a more GDT based notation?Example groove drawings (Source) Hydraulic PortsIn some of the hydraulic port standards, the dimensions have angles to virtual surfaces. Do you just redraw to a coinvent real surface, or add virtual surfaces. (When a standard port is used, we could just specify the Standard Spec)Example J1926 and ISO 6149-1 port images (Source)
Hi all, Currently experiencing an issue with an Excel component on a colleagues computer. The Mathcad file, attached, works on my computer fine but not my colleagues. States his "excel is busy". Any ideas why it works on my computer but not my colleagues? Many thanks,Iain FYI, I am using Mathcad Prime 10.0.0.0 (and is my colleague).
I am trying to set up a company hole table that everyone can use to better format hole notes on our drawings. I have it set up and working well but the one major annoyance is the &PATTERN_NO parameter. I want it included for when there is a pattern but when there is just one hole it displays "1X" Is there a way to add a condition that will not display that is the &PATTERN_NO is 1.Sample CALLOUT FORMAT: &PATTERN_NO X <CTRL-a>n<CTRL-b> &DIAMETER[.1] <CTRL-a>x<CTRL-b> &DRILL_DEPTH[.1] / &METRIC_SIZE &VAR_THREAD &THREAD_DEPTH[.1]Thanks,Josh
Dear Support Team,I hope you are doing well.I am writing because I have lost my license for Mathcad Prime 7.0. Unfortunately, I can no longer access the license information needed to activate the software.Could you please assist me in recovering or reissuing my license? If you need any information from me (such as purchase details, email used during registration, or proof of purchase), I will be happy to provide it.Thank you for your time and assistance.Kind regards,Mohamed El Derkaoui Merzouk
Tried harness part/assembly instance/generic. Always get empty report
Creo 11.0.2.0I've used "Options" "Window Settings" "Graphics Toolbar Setting" to place my Graphics Toolbar in the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen. When switching between open windows, working in assemblies, etc, sometimes the software just "forgets" to put the graphics toolbar back in one assembly when I activate it. I can switch to other parts, drawings and assemblies, and it appears in each window. When I go back to that particular window, it doesn't show. I can't say for sure, but this seems to happen more after I go to assemble a part using the "Separate Window" Component Display option. My current only workaround to get it back is to close the window which has "forgot" the graphics toolbar, and reopen that file. Funky bug. Anyone else with experience on this?
Is it posible to create a Bom table like below?with repeat region? so its start filling left bellow corner. when it reaches the 7th row.then it jumps over to the second collum. Creo 9
I have next to no surfacing experience. I have a solid part that has a concave curved indent, made up of individual "surfaces" I guess you would call them. Protruding from that set of surfaces is a recycle symbol that I need to edit, or, remove & replace. My initial intent was to remove it, then extrude a different one, both using the "up to" reference and the quilt being that ref. I selected the surrounding surfaces, then Copy & Pasted. That gave me the quilt fine, but I think there are "holes" in it where the recycle symbol is. I can't extrude to it from the front or back, it just fails. Help me out...? Something to fill the holes, or a different approach entirely? I am at my wits end.
Always when i start MathCad, it starts with the wrong email, so my license doesn´t work because it´s on the other email. The problem is, that i can´t change the email
Hi thereI got this screen when I open Mathcad. what should I do to get rid of it ? my license is still valid to 2027 Regards,Yusra
I am using Mathcad Prime 11 and I am a bit confused about how symbolic solving and variable definition work. In my worksheet, I use the symbolic solve operator and Mathcad returns a value for VBL, but when I try to evaluate the variable afterward, it still appears undefined or does not behave as I expect. I am not sure whether I am using the wrong operator, whether the symbolic result is not actually being assigned to the variable, or whether I should be using a solve block instead. The following screenshot describes the issue. I would really appreciate any guidance on what I am doing wrong and how to properly define and reuse the solved variable in the worksheet.
I'm not sure PTC understands the concept of a model. It’s supposed to represent reality in a simplified form — yet PTC simply ignores threads and doesn’t display them at all. A thread should be immediately noticeable, but in Creo I still have to search for them. It’s absurd. Please tell me there’s a solution that doesn’t involve wireframe graphics from the last millennium.
Dear PTC Support,I am contacting you regarding a licensing issue with Mathcad.I would like to activate student license for my own student email acc, but during activation I receive the following message: "You reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type."The situation is as follows:Mathcad had peviously been installed on this computer;A trial had already been used earlier by another person on the same device;I am now tryhing to activate Mathcad using my own student email acc; However, the system still shows the maximum license request limit error.Could you please verify,Kind regards,Aleksandra Nawrocka
