I am trying to set up a company hole table that everyone can use to better format hole notes on our drawings. I have it set up and working well but the one major annoyance is the &PATTERN_NO parameter. I want it included for when there is a pattern but when there is just one hole it displays "1X" Is there a way to add a condition that will not display that is the &PATTERN_NO is 1.Sample CALLOUT FORMAT: &PATTERN_NO X <CTRL-a>n<CTRL-b> &DIAMETER[.1] <CTRL-a>x<CTRL-b> &DRILL_DEPTH[.1] / &METRIC_SIZE &VAR_THREAD &THREAD_DEPTH[.1]Thanks,Josh
Dear Support Team,I hope you are doing well.I am writing because I have lost my license for Mathcad Prime 7.0. Unfortunately, I can no longer access the license information needed to activate the software.Could you please assist me in recovering or reissuing my license? If you need any information from me (such as purchase details, email used during registration, or proof of purchase), I will be happy to provide it.Thank you for your time and assistance.Kind regards,Mohamed El Derkaoui Merzouk
Tried harness part/assembly instance/generic. Always get empty report
Creo 11.0.2.0I've used "Options" "Window Settings" "Graphics Toolbar Setting" to place my Graphics Toolbar in the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen. When switching between open windows, working in assemblies, etc, sometimes the software just "forgets" to put the graphics toolbar back in one assembly when I activate it. I can switch to other parts, drawings and assemblies, and it appears in each window. When I go back to that particular window, it doesn't show. I can't say for sure, but this seems to happen more after I go to assemble a part using the "Separate Window" Component Display option. My current only workaround to get it back is to close the window which has "forgot" the graphics toolbar, and reopen that file. Funky bug. Anyone else with experience on this?
Is it posible to create a Bom table like below?with repeat region? so its start filling left bellow corner. when it reaches the 7th row.then it jumps over to the second collum. Creo 9
I have next to no surfacing experience. I have a solid part that has a concave curved indent, made up of individual "surfaces" I guess you would call them. Protruding from that set of surfaces is a recycle symbol that I need to edit, or, remove & replace. My initial intent was to remove it, then extrude a different one, both using the "up to" reference and the quilt being that ref. I selected the surrounding surfaces, then Copy & Pasted. That gave me the quilt fine, but I think there are "holes" in it where the recycle symbol is. I can't extrude to it from the front or back, it just fails. Help me out...? Something to fill the holes, or a different approach entirely? I am at my wits end.
Always when i start MathCad, it starts with the wrong email, so my license doesn´t work because it´s on the other email. The problem is, that i can´t change the email
Hi thereI got this screen when I open Mathcad. what should I do to get rid of it ? my license is still valid to 2027 Regards,Yusra
I am using Mathcad Prime 11 and I am a bit confused about how symbolic solving and variable definition work. In my worksheet, I use the symbolic solve operator and Mathcad returns a value for VBL, but when I try to evaluate the variable afterward, it still appears undefined or does not behave as I expect. I am not sure whether I am using the wrong operator, whether the symbolic result is not actually being assigned to the variable, or whether I should be using a solve block instead. The following screenshot describes the issue. I would really appreciate any guidance on what I am doing wrong and how to properly define and reuse the solved variable in the worksheet.
I'm not sure PTC understands the concept of a model. It’s supposed to represent reality in a simplified form — yet PTC simply ignores threads and doesn’t display them at all. A thread should be immediately noticeable, but in Creo I still have to search for them. It’s absurd. Please tell me there’s a solution that doesn’t involve wireframe graphics from the last millennium.
Dear PTC Support,I am contacting you regarding a licensing issue with Mathcad.I would like to activate student license for my own student email acc, but during activation I receive the following message: "You reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type."The situation is as follows:Mathcad had peviously been installed on this computer;A trial had already been used earlier by another person on the same device;I am now tryhing to activate Mathcad using my own student email acc; However, the system still shows the maximum license request limit error.Could you please verify,Kind regards,Aleksandra Nawrocka
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0I created a PRT family table, where my variants are two features, which I named "A," "B," "C" (Feature 1) via "post-regeneration" relationships, and "D," "E," "F" (Feature 2).In some instances, feature 2 is suppressed, even though the "family table" displays "*" in the values for feature 2, so "D," "E," "F." The table displayed in 2D inserts the generic values. (The 3D of the instance is correct, so feature 2 is suppressed.)How can I fix this?
Hi there ,I need to make CWD ,which is used to identify the location of the input, fixed . So if I send my Mathcad sheet to someone else he can open the sheet and see the calculation. Is that possible or he has to change the CWD and the input file ( in_file) ?Regards, Yusra
Hello everyone,I am having problems with a mechanism analysis in Creo.I have a square sliding pin that moves along an axis using a prismatic joint. The pin is preloaded by a spring. An eccentric rotating disk (cam) pushes the pin upward, and the spring pushes it back when the cam rotates away. The disk does not rotate around its geometric center (offset axis). What I am trying to achieveI need to evaluate the required driving torque of the rotating disk during the mechanism analysis. What I have already tried3D surface-to-surface contact between cam and pinCam / curve follower definition instead of contactUnfortunately, both approaches fail during the mechanism analysis with a “simulation failed / analysis failed” error.Additional question (modeling):I also need to place 48 identical sliding pins into corresponding grooves/slots around the disk.Is there a way to automatically insert or pattern these pins without defining each pin manually in the mechanism?Creo version: 12.4.0.0 Any hel
When using the symbolic solver, Mathcad Prime 11 often puts in unnecessary parentheses. I've tried every keyword in the symbolics pull-down menu to get rid of the parentheses with no luck. Is there a way to get Mathcad to remove the unnecessary parentheses? For example, I would like to see the following.
Hello,I work in Creo Parametric 12.4.1I want to make my .drw more helpfull, need to automaticaly create Hyperlinks to drawing no from the table of content. I have an assembly with 100 component, in Table>Repeat Region, first cell i have parameter &asm.mbr.ptc_common_nameThis parameter fill for all the position the drawing number. It is posible to create links to the server of all this files (they are in PDF format) and keep the drw no in the cells?I found this topic, but didn't find any solution to do it in Creo. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/Dynamic-Hyperlinks-in-drawing-and-as-result-updated/idi-p/456420
Why there is black shade always on the image i import / download? I always use .bmp files!\SEE ATTACH
To download the Mathcad Prime 11.0, refer article You may also follow the steps listed here: Post Content extraction - Select # Setup.exe Double #Click the Setup.exe and the software will be ready to install. Follow the prompts on the screen.
STARTPARM is enabled and the parameters from the start file exist in the part, but ModelCHECK still flags them as missing.
I am using Creo 12.4.2.0. I have an engine model that was created in Autocad. The base units are in inches. When I import the .dwg, the units are correct. As soon as I save the file with a new name (File --> Save As Copy), it always re-scales the model to mm. It's not converting the units. it's multiplying all the inch dimensions by 25.4, and then saving the file as inches. I have tried rescaling (Model --> Operations --> Rescale), but no matter what I try, the dimensions don't change or convert. I have also tried to change the units from IPS to MKS, but I don't have the option to convert or interpret. These options are grayed out. I misspoke in my initial post. It's a .dwg file, not .dxf. The forum will not allow me up upload this type of file.
I’ve been looking at automating some calculations with the Viktor program. Viktor acts as a kind of app builder for python apps. I’d like to use MathCAD to perform the actual math for the calculation because it’s easy to see the math workflow, but I’d use Viktor as the bridge between my finite element program to bring results into MathCAD and to help visualize results. Does anyone have any experience with integrating MathCAD with Viktor? Any guides or tips you can provide?
With these Box, Lasso, and Trace selections that are new in Creo 11. Is it possible to turn these off? So it works similar to Creo 10 and below? I'm still dealing with selection issues in Creo 11. PTC is of no help, as they say the don't see this issue. But myself and every other engineer here all see this. When selecting surfaces or edges..it takes 3 times longer to select now in Creo 11. Id like to narrow down its not something to do with this lasso, Box and Trace stuff added in Creo 11. (when we first started having problems) Can I turn these off? Thanks,Jay
Hi everyone,I am working in Creo Parametric using Pro/Toolkit (classic C API).I am trying to programmatically apply a HALF section to an existing drawing view using:ProDrawingView2DSectionSet()The plane selection is done interactively using ProSelect(), and the selection succeeds. Here is the relevant code:Questions:Does the section name (sec_name_out) need to already exist in the model before calling ProDrawingView2DSectionSet?For HALF sections, does the plane selection need to be from the model window rather than the drawing? Is there any additional requirement (like creating the section definition first) before applying a half section?Does the view need to be a specific type (e.g., general view only)?Manually, I can create the half section using the same reference plane without any issue. But programmatically it is not accepting the plane.Any guidance on the correct workflow for creating or assigning a HALF section via Toolkit would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.ProSelection* sel_a
Hi everyone,I recently submitted an idea to add a Convex Hull creation feature. In geometry, a Convex Hull is the smallest convex shape that fully contains a given set of points or geometry. It can be imagined like a rubber band stretched around the outermost points. If you have ideas for how Convex Hull could be useful in your workflows, please comment on the idea and share your use cases. This will really help show the need for implementing it. And of course, I’d really appreciate it if you vote for the idea. Thanks a lot for the support!
Hi, in an assembly "A" I have a lot of this parts "B" (lets say 100). When I modify another subassembly "C" (or parts "D") of the assembly "A", It takes a lot of time to regenerate the 3D model "A", and in the left bottom of the screen it plot these messages"Relations have errors/warnings. Refer to the message log for the details or visit relation UI.A - assembly A - regeneration completed with 94 suppressed feature(s) or component(s).Part 'B' not changed since last regen".I think it is a tentative to regenerate parts that are not in checkout and takes a lot of time to do this tentative. How can I fix this problem? Thank you in advanced. Michele Barile
