Hi, Creo-8I would like to get sheet metal part with different thickness after forming ( coining ) operation like the attached image below. Any idea
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew if there's a way to define a parameter for the pvsoptimize tool to remove small parts from a pvz that are below a threshold based on a measurement instead of comparing its size to the rest of the product? Currently, the parameters I can use for removing small components looks like: adapter/removeTinyComponent=1adapter/removeCompSizeFactor=0.008 but I was wondering if there was something else besides "removeCompSizeFactor" that I could enter. Or even more helpful would be just a list of every parameter that pvsoptimize would recognize in a recipe file. Thanks!
I converted a file from MathCad 15 to MathCad Prime 9. After the converting was made, MathCad Prime 9 is marking some of the variables with red Box saying that this variable is not defined (See screeshot). I noticed that the Problem is that Variable contains two level of subsripts and Mathcad Prime 9 cant see the second subscript. As a result all Variables will be seen as only one variable and not multiple diffrent variables. Can someone help me please? Thank you Greetings
Greetings everyone, Allow me to introduce myself to this vibrant community! My name is Amitabh Mukherjee, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this group. With an extensive background in multi-CAD customization spanning across various platforms like NXOpen, CATIA V5 .NET, CAA V5, Inventor, and SolidWorks API, I've recently embarked on a new journey diving into Creo Customization using Object Toolkit (C++) with Creo 10.0.As I delve deeper into this exciting realm, I need some guidance and insights from the community members here. Here are a few areas where I could use a helping hand: Navigating the Creo API Object Model: I'm eager to explore the vast landscape of Creo's API object model. Could someone point me in the direction of resources where I can browse through the hierarchy of classes, and interfaces, and understand their relationships such as base classes and derived classes?Creating PMIs with Precision: One particular task I'm currently grappling with involves creating Pro
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0I would like to know if there is a way to extend the left hand side section of the browser window to maximum extent possible. We are not going to use the section with address bar. We would like the right hand side section to be as minimum as possible.I tried setting Navigation Window Width to 100% but it didn't work. Browser width as percentage of main window is greyed out with 82 as its value. Here are the browser related variables set in the config fileweb_browser_homepage about:blankweb_browser_in_separate_window yes
Hi, I need to create a list similar to the BOM but with the asm welds. I need the weld information (SEQ_ID, TYPE) and I need the welding process intervals linked to that weld. I have some parameters in the weld process but i dont know how acess this parameters in the drw. I add some photos. Using the example of the photos iset the weld process 3, in the weld process have parameters about current, tension and gas. So i need a table like this: SEQ_ID TYPE WELD_PROCESS CURRET(A) TENSION(V) GAS1 FILLET PROG3 230 26 CO22 FILLET PROG2 &
Suddenly creo fails to create PDF using quick export or manual export configuration. upon clicking either QUICK EXPORT or EXPORT to create a .pdf, nothing happens. no error or warning. just nothing.
Hi, I am working on this surface that is part of an assembly. When I try to merge the quilts after the mirroring (in FRONT plane) i get an error of overlapping. I am struggling to find the overlap/how to resolve this issue. My files are linked (assembly, reinforcement plate and upperhood). The reinforcement plate is using the same geometry as the upperhood. The issue occurs in the part called: reinforcement plate. Any help is appreciated. I am using the student version of creo parametric.
Hello, we're looking into integrating with Soldiworks PDM and was told we need the API Toolkit. Searching around I found different versions ranging from free to paid and in different languages. Has anyone gone through an integration like this and know if the free version of the Toolkit is suitable or do we need to purchase. Thank you in advance!
Hi, 1. How can I search for each frequency range? For example I looked into the excel file and I saw that 1kHz begin from line 61536 and is ended at line 62560: ... Therefore I extracted manually the respective range in Mathcad: So, for example I want to know between what range the 0.001Hz begging and ends, but without staying and looking into excel file, some automatic routine if can be made in Mathcad: And then I want to know the maximum value for Vout and Vin at the respective Frequency and at which time these maximum values are occuring: Above its only the maximum value at 1kHz, but I do not know at what time these maximum values for Vout and Vin are occuring. Because I want to know then the difference between t2-t1.
Does anyone know how to set symbol_font to legacy by default for new parts and assemblies? I have tried changing it in my config files but I can't get it to work. The issue is, that unless both the assembly and or part file and the drawing file have symbol_font set to legacy, this strange offset happens to my diameter symbol:
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.4.0I am attempting to open files from the 1990s that are labeled as DRW and I cannot open them. Here are the errors that I faced'Filename' Cannot Be Pulled
In old Mathcad versions, the program performed calculation step by step, during the visualization of the page. Thus if you changed the value of a variable that was involved in a lot of formulas in the sheet, this action did not lead to a lot of calcs that you didn't need in that moment but only to the ones that you were interested in.Prime versions, perform all the calcs where the variable is involved, even those you are not visualizing and therefore are useless for you in that moment. This behaviour is strongly disappointing for long spreadsheets, where old Mathcad versions are much more satisfying.I wonder why this this behaviour has been changed moving from Mathcad to Prime. In any case Mathcad Prime, after ten years of developing is very far form the performance ad usability of the old Mathcad
I have a part model that is solid geometry. When exporting the part using STEP it generates the file but the STEP file does not contain any geometry when imported. The part does not have any geometry checks and has absolute accuracy (1E-4 inches) set in Creo 7.07. The geometry is not what I would call complex. I have been able to get around this issue by saving the part as a Creo neutral file, opening it as a part and then exporting it as STEP. This process yields accurate geometry in the STEP export. The source part file will not export to STL either but there is no diagnostic info on bad geometry. Typically this would identify are where tessellation failed. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Hi, guys. I'm working on the surface using the table pattern function in Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0 and an error occurred in this process.Excel fetched the location, length of the feature, and thickness data to extract and patterned, but some features encountered problems and the extrude did not proceed. After proceeding with the other random data again, I confirmed that the extrude was completed without any problems. Can I get any help with this?I attached the Creo file, Excel data, and config.pro file into .zip file. The size of the blocks is 51.5625 x 51.5625 x 4 in the order of x, y, and z [All length units are mm] Among the green parts of the image, except for the outer edge, the part that appears inside is the part where the error occurred.Sheet1 data was used in the Excel file, and it means the length of the feature from column A to the location where the extraction operation starts, the x-axis, y-axis distance, and the thickness to proceed with the extraction opera
I have an assembly with a few sub-assemblies. Each of those subassemblies are set to be of specific rep in the main assembly (some are at Master, some are "User specified") When working with the main assembly, when I right-click on one of those subassemblies in the model tree, and click on the pop-up menu "Open" - it brings a little window with the available reps, and I have to choose the rep that I want to open that sub-assembly in. I am hoping to find a way to open the _current_ rep by default. That is, if (from a model tree) I click "Open" on a subassembly which is set to be Master - that subassembly opens in its own window at Master rep. If I open another subassembly from a model tree of a custom rep "No Fasteners" then Creo loads that sub-assy activating the "No Fasteners" rep. There is remotely similar setting "open_simplified_rep_by_default" but it does a different thing. I am looking for something like "open_assembly_tree_component_in_current_rep". I
Hi, My goal is to clearly have the presence of external references in the part visible by having "Dependency status" column in the model tree. This way if i create an external reference in the part, this column would have "Dependent" written on it. However, I noticed that if I create a new simplified rep in the part, then it automatically shows as "Dependent" in the "Dependency status" column. What is even more interesting - when I activate the Master rep, the "Dependent" status goes away; when I activate my new rep again - the "Dependent" comes back. As per this article here: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS67430 , the "Dependency" is always external. This makes me think that this may be not intended software behaviour, because I am creating a rep within the same part, and not initiating any external dependency. Could somebody please comment on why this is happening, and potentially how to create a custom rep in a part without having
Hi everyone, I have an issue regarding "plot_drw_to_pdf.ttd" in CREO Distributed Batch. Can someone please tell my the correct syntax for "STROKE NON TRUETYPE FONTS" in the TTD file? The default value for Font is:<font enum="PRO_PDF_USE_TRUETYPE_FONTS"/> I've tried various configurations like:<font enum="PRO_PDF_STROKE_NON_TRUETYPE_FONTS"/>or<font enum="PRO_PDF_STROKE_NON-TRUETYPE_FONTS"/>or<font enum="PRO_PDF_STROKE_NONTRUETYPE_FONTS"/>or<font enum="PRO_PDF_STROKE_NON_TTF"/> nothing worked.
As per the original post. I am having a similar issue trying to install PROEStudent wildfire 3.0. The DAT file sent to me is not recognized by the install program as a license file.
So we upgraded from Creo 7 to 10. When we did, this annoying thing started occurring where this information window would pop up upon every regen. After a couple of days, it stopped doing it. But today it started doing it again randomly. I've tried turning off all notifications and changed the notification behavior to "Do Not Show", but it still pops up. Having to click the X icon every time I regen the CAD model is GREATLY reducing my ability to work... I don't mind having the little banner show errors and dissolving after a little on it's own, but having to acknowledge every pop-up during design is obnoxious and pretty much makes the CAD software unusable...
Every time I open the model, the view changes back to "Shaded" even though I have "Shaded with Edges" selected as the default. I'm running Creo 10.

I am using Creo8.0 trying to run a thermal simulation on a simple block with a convection condition applied to the bottom. For the full simulation, I am planning on starting at 20C (also initial temp as defined in transient analysis), ramping up to 90C, then down to -35C. I keep noticing an initial dip in the temperature at the measure point at the bottom of the block for the first few minutes, which should not be there as I am trying to increase the temp from 20C to 90C, so it should not be getting colder at all during that ramp. I was originally using 90C as the bulk temperature in the convection condition, with the table ramping up from .22 (20C) to 1 (90C). I decided to run some tests where I hold at 20C using various bulk temperatures and table value combinations to better understand the table function tool, but I am still lost. Using a bulk temp of 90C and 6 table rows with values of 0.22, I am still seeing the temperature dip significantly (Test1). Using a bulk temp of 1C and ta
When creating a new Exploded view of an assembly what controls the default explode behavior ? What I am really after is a setting to be able to define quickly how far the toggle explode setting ripples through a Model Tree. For example 9 time out of 10 on large assemblies it would be nice to be able to say explode 1 level deep only. That way only the parts at the first level have there explode status set to explode and everything else is set to no. It can be very time consuming hunting down the one component that has it's status set to yes in a model of 1000's of parts.
