Good afternoon   I was trying to re-install Mathcad 15 (purchased 2012?) ... when I purchased new computer approx 5 years ago...I didn't have much success re-installing using "downloaded Setup  (mathcad_15_0_EN_M010_Setup.exe file....so I just used my  Mathcad 14 disc version.   Currently ... I have another computer and ...instead of  deleting install program "stuff" ... I thought I would try once more.   my product code is:    MP010201EA6466-743K-3FKX    On PTC.Setup - Mathcad 15.0 (M010) setup screen ,... I get to screen that says "select Product to be installed"  with options to select "Mathcad" or "PTC Liscense server"    When I select "Mathcad"  i get error message :  You are running Windows XP, but do not have Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher installed ...etc... this is a minimum system requirement for Mathcad15.0 M010 please upgrade your system.   I am running windows 10   

Hi, It would appear that the license server is down again and has been now for several days.Initial checks indicate that there is a certificate failure causing that dreaded proxy server request dialog. Once again I am left asking why PTC continue with this license arrangement. If they are not prepared to support it then for gods sake just get rid of it. The product is ideal for hobbyists and a well supported product (free or not) is the key to getting customer loyalty, something which PTC fails at terribly.I use Creo, Windchill & ThingWorx (yes I know) professionally and am sad to say support there is also not good.  In the meantime, PTC ( if you are listening) is there any chance you will fix this? I am sure all it will take is a certificate renewal. Here's hoping------ 

Hi All, I wanted to share that when using the ProAnnotationshow API to create drawing dimensions and providing axis is as a reference, the status is displayed as 'pro_tk_invalid_matrix.' Has anyone else encountered this?please let me know, if anyone has the solution.Thank you

Da Boss came to me the other day and asked if I could make something that would function as a drawing tree for all our assembly drawings.  I thought about it, and said no, not like we're used to seeing, like the usual drawing tree or an "Org Chart" for those that have never seen a drawing tree.  BUT, I thought I might be able to do it in BOM form using a recursive repeat region.  I've never worked at a company that wanted to use a recursive BOM, so, this will be my first time playing with it, but, I figure it SHOULD be almost exactly like doing a regular BOM.  We want the drawing number, and the title, and "probably" quantities.   Anyone ever done anything like this?  Is there Creo 8 functionality for this I'm not aware of (last having formal training on Wildfire 5).  If not, this would be GREAT functionality to have.  Thoughts?

A colleague handed over the .sldprt file, and CREO says, 'Unsupported file version.'    In this case, is this a problem because it is a CREO student version? Hello, sorry, I have to ask some beginner questions:1. I want to use the f'(x) notation but it seems that this is not possible. Mathcad is unhappy "variable not defined" about the f'. The function f(x) as such is defined. Is there a trick? 2. I want do document some functions without defining variables. For example "slope = (f(b)-f(a))/(b-a)". Once more Mathcad wants to force me to define b and a. But that doesn't make sense in my case since I just want to document the concept and not do an actual calculation. I use a text box with a inside calculation box to get the mathematical notifications. I feel deeply sorry that I have to bother you with probably very simple questions. 🙂  Kind Regards 

I cannot figure out a way to solve equations in Mathcad 9.0.0.0. I have tried going through multiple tutorials text and video for hours and unfortunately cannot for the life of me figure out how to type it into mathcad. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Creo Parametric 6.0.6.0 Student. I have set up the config.pro file with all my preferences which includes metric units. When I open a model the units are Imperial but all my other preferences are correct. It's a bind having to remember to change it for every new part.Is there a fix?

I installed creo 10 some days ago and did some designs in that. later again I moved to creo 9, but after installing that I can't able to open the designs that I did in creo 10. Ps : I am using student version. please comment for any solutions ! When I open only I can see blank screen as shown in picture I attached.

Hi, We need to convert a large number of old .mi drawings created with Creo Elements/Drafting  18.1.I done some research i i found 3 ways to do that. 1) Use PTC Creo, open the files and do "save as" and select  .dwg in file format.2) Install Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0 and use dxfdwg.exe that is a tool to convert different file type.3) Reinstall Creo Elements/Drafting 18.1, open the files and do "save as" and select  .dwg in file format. Of this 3 method there is one that is better in terms of quality(precision, quotas, errors,  missing elements, etc) of the converted file ?If there are other ways to do that please le me know.Thanks for the support. Best Regards Giacomo Ceresola 

Did you manage to get this working?Reference link   We are running into the same issue, with the added complexity that they've removed this functionality completely from Creo 10. So using a key to allow deprecated config option only temporarily solves the issue.

Hello,I would like to ask how to properly work in Creo parametrics 7.0.8.0 connected with PDMlink Windchill 12.0.2.12 .We work like that main assembly is composed from subassemblies. Subassemblies are composed only from manufactured parts, purchased "parts and assemblies". Purchased "assemblies" (let's say pneumatic cylinders) we use only because of mechanism.We have library of pneumatic cylinders in PDMlink Windchill. The moving part of pneumatic cylinder is set as slider with enabled regeneration value. When we use pneumatic cylinder in subassembly we set it as flexible with selection of the dimension. In PDMlink Windchill the state of the cylinder is set to released. To prevent users to change it.When subassembly is checked in, there is a possibility to Drag pneumatic cylinder with connected parts. When the move is performed we get yellow triangle with following messages. "Not checked out by you" and "Modified in session".  If I regenerate that subassembly, it changes to o

Maybe someone knows how to make engraving on cylindrical surface in assembly mode in Creo Parametric?This article (CS25807) describes how to make engraving in a part.I can't find information how to do this in assembly mode.In our production, quite often there is a situation when it is necessary to do engraving at the assembly stage.At the moment we do this using the Projection tool.

I am using 20.6 Creo Elements direct,  When I am in annotation I can not change from INCH to metric as my default, I've tried changing the units, but they say they are already in MM, I also tried dimension properties but it will revert back to Inch after the selection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
