I guess something is not working with units for my plot can someone have a look and tell me what's wrong
Hi,Why aim getting this error? What should I do to get the answer in units mW/cm^3 or watts/meter^3 JacobPrime 8.0
Hello! everyone:) hope you are all doing great!I want to change the "part number" in the table for 6 sheets at a time in creo 2D drawing. I just wonder that is there any process to do such thing? Could you please share your ideas/experinces how you guys solved this situtaion before when you met? Thanks much in advance:)
When drawing a simple line using the sample VB API code, a line appears in the drawing but the wrong place consistently. Using the code below, a line is expected from 0,0 to 20,0 Dim start As IpfcPoint3DDim finish As IpfcPoint3Dmodel = creoSession.CurrentModelstart = New CpfcPoint3Dstart.Set(0, 0)start.Set(1, 0)start.Set(2, 0) finish = New CpfcPoint3Dfinish.Set(0, 20)finish.Set(1, 20)finish.Set(2, 0) geom = (New CCpfcLineDescriptor).Create(start, finish)lineInstructions = (New CCpfcDetailEntityInstructions).Create(geom, Nothing)drawing.CreateDetailItem(lineInstructions) When I check the coordinates again, they show correct values. MessageBox.Show("Start = " & start.Item(0).ToString & " x " & start.Item(1).ToString & vbCrLf &"End = " & finish.Item(0).ToString & " x " & finish.Item(1).ToString) Am I missing any transformation?
Hello, Currently working in Creo 7.0.2.0, and was hoping to get some clarification on some of the moment of inertia calculations Creo can perform. For the assembly at hand, there is a "true reference frame," (TRF) which is what I need to calculate moments, CG distance references, etc. from. Going in part by part to find these values, I come across two MOI tensors, and I'm unsure exactly what the difference between the two are. I have pasted them directly from the mass properties analysis done in Creo. INERTIA with respect to TRF coordinate frame: (POUND * INCH^2)INERTIA TENSOR:Ixx Ixy Ixz 1.6605289e+03 1.1988931e+01 4.2694060e+02Iyx Iyy Iyz 1.1988931e+01 1.7687049e+03 -4.6548034e+01Izx Izy Izz 4.2694060e+02 -4.6548034e+01 1.1179549e+02 INERTIA at CENTER OF GRAVITY with respect to TRF coordinate frame: (POUND * INCH^2)INERTIA TENSOR:Ixx Ixy Ixz 1.5889992e+00 0.0000000e+00 0.0000000e+00Iyx Iyy Iyz 0.0000000e+00 1.1091056e+00 0.0000000e+00Izx Izy Izz 0.0000000e+00 0.0000000
Hello, Why? Because results for a, b, and c should give: MC Prime 9 fille attached.
HelloWe use Creo Parametrics 8.0, creating MBD in 3D and I face the following situation. in an already created Combination State I have adjusted the text size of the so far created annotations and now I add new geometrical tolerance to one dimension. The new created GeoTol gets the default text size, which is much too big.Does Creo Parametrics provide an option to transfer(copy past) the text format similar as in Windows Word the "Format Painter".I know this option from different other CAD tools, but cannot find it in Creo Parametrics. Does such an option exist? And where can I find it?Thank's for your support.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode 9.0.4.0,When I export a PRT to STEP the name of the DATUMS (e.g. frames, planes, etc.) is cut to a maximum of 19 characters. Can you please explain me if and how I can remove this limit?Thank you.
Hello If I create a 2D drafting view, derived from a 3D Combination State the surface symbols describing the surface of a groove side walls, the symbols cannot be moved (dragged by mouse). So far I can change the position only by the option of "edit Attachment" in 2D drafting, selecting the belonging groove-width value, then the position on the whiteness line and then the corresponding geometry. But now the Surface Finish symbol changes it direction, now it is pointing away from the surface. Surface Finish Annotations in 3D modeling Surface Finish Annotation in 2D drafting detailed view. The two vertical symbols cannot be moved by mouse dragging. Therefore I try to change its attachment. But now the symbol points in wrong direction. As you can see the symbol for the bottom of the groove can be moved by dragging. Does anybody have an hint how to move these Surface Finish symbols by mouse dragging or how to change the orientation of the symbols after
I have a neat table I would like to add to the server symbol gallery so drafters can easily snag it and add to to a text editor (or just add it to the note). I know you can add it from Table > Table from File and had it floating, and then possibly anchor it to a note, but I was looking for a way to add the custom table directly to the note from the symbol gallery. Any Ideas?
Hello, How do I calculate the smallest difference between any two rows in a row in the matrix? Thanks,Sam
You can now watch the Mathcad Virtual Conference 2023 on-demand! This year, our virtual conference took place on August 30, 2023 at 10:00 Eastern Time. Hello, I'm trying to manage two assemblies by means of a Family Table instances. One of this instances has some sub-assemblies removed (driven by the Family Table) and the problem I'm detecting is that several other components (fastenings mainly) are also being removed. I assume that in spite of having those sub-assys removed, the geometrical references for further componets remain valid right? I'm using Creo 4 Thanks in advance,
Hi everyone, I don't understand this situation, I edit dimensions of extrude and flat cannot generation. Anyone can explain? Thank you so much.
Hi everybody,I want to ask if WORKING DIRECTORY has a relative path like in "$PRO_DIRECTORY"I want to specify the search path of "foldersearch" which is specified in the current working directory.I would like to avoid having to edit config.pro for every new project.I use Creo 7 without Windchill. Thanks
Hello,I'm working as external engineering company. For few weeks, I 'm working with Creo8 for a customer on his Windchill server (with a VPN).But I also have other customer, and I can't find how to work without Windchill.I have Creo8 installed in c:\ptc_app\ and all its configurations. So I've tried to install a new version of Creo8 in c:\ptc\ without any configuration. But even in this case, Creo is connected to Windchill and I can't do local jobs.(save as can't permit me to save on local folder, for example...)So, is it possible to have one version of Creo for Windchill and with VPN.And an other "stand-alone" version for my other jobs ?Thanks
Hi Everyone, I have Mathcad Prime 9 Floating License but I cant activate the license, So anyone can help me? *NB : I dont understand Flexnet license server
I have a licensee for 8 but am having trouble downloading it because it keeps downloading 9 but I need 8
Hi experts. I would like to know.If I could use command method to enable the calculation area or disable it.For example,I have two condition, in one condition I want iLr = 5A, in the other condition, iLr = 4A.I know I can use "if" command to do that. but sometimes I prefer to disable/enable area.
Hello Everyone.From : Mathcad 15 , How to : M , Symbolic Evaluate ---> ?Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
Good afternoon friends of the forum, I have a question about units,as it is showing an error and I don't know how to solve it.
Hello, we're trying to solve integral equations, and there's error on getting the final integral value in Mathcad. anyone can direct how to get the following integration done in Mathcad? There's a following error: More than one independent variable for keyword solve.
Hello community. Looking for someone who's walked my particular path before. I'm deep in the docs and forum posts, and I'm looking for a friend to lead me back out of the forest. 🙂 I work in airplane design. I am investigating options for a workflow where data about the final skin of an aerodynamic surface (i.e. wing, aileron, canard, etc) is generated and analyzed outside of Creo. This happens in an open source tool called OpenVSP. The aero surfaces can be exported in STEP and IEGS. I prefer IEGS because I can put them in a text editor and read them to be sure of exactly what I'm getting. For example, for the fuselage, I have 8 IEGS entities of type 128, "Rational B-Spline Surface". They are arranged around the four quarters of the forward half and aft half of the teardrop-shaped fuselage. When I import into Creo 10 with "default" import settings, things "seem" to work fine. But our aero designer is suspicious of the various "fixes", "reparameterization", and "simplify
Using Creo 8.0.8.0 lattice tool I have problems with generating lattices. I am replacing a volume with lattice and works well when I have "standard setting". Starting volume: Problems start with Quasi-radial cell propagation. Only one layer of lattice is generated in the volume.I tried to play with the Build direction and coordinate systems for the lattice definition (including first cell position), but nothing helps. Looks like the position of the original cell is not controllable with radial cell propagation. Did anyone experienced similar problems? also no labels for Lattice or AM tools
