I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0The threads of a hole feature do not show in the drawing. This is not a cosmetic thread. The various threads will only be visible in section view. The face where a hole is located will appear to have a simple drilled hole with no thread.
Hello, I have a problem with the design of a tool. For machining a part i use a sawblade with a sawblade holder.https://www.haimer.biz/products/tool-holders/accessories/sawblade-holder/sawblade-holder.html When i design the tool in creo NC with a sketch, it takes as cutting reference the lower point of the tool. When i use the tool in my trajectory path, this is this point whirch is follow the trajectory.Even if i modify the sketch with construction segments...Is there a solution to define the cutting edges of the tool ? Thanks in advance
I am looking to streamline a workflow for transformation of surfaces using two CSYS features to move and reorient a quilt. Doing it manually using the transform options in the Warp tool or the Legacy surface move command is quite tedious and requires calculating linear transforms using the two bases. My best workaround is to export the quilt relative to one CSYS and then import it back into the model using the desired CSYS as the origin, not ideal since it lacks associativity. Is anyone aware of a method supporting a single transform operation to move and reorient a quilt/surface from one orthonormal basis (Csys) to a new one? I can keep it all within Creo without the export but it requires doing the matrix algebra for rotational transforms outside of Creo, which is slow and tedious to do it manually. Getting the new origin can be obtained by using a measure of the transform between the two csys but the rotational info is not explicit in that measure. ObjectiveTransformed
I have a long workshheet with a few red or black two colour plots. When I save as PDF some of the red traces show as black. I have been very careful with Plot positions and spacing. I have tried saving from the Math tab and the Document tab. Is there some official guidance?
The "collapse" tool is useful for generating static geometry from parametric features. Often, I copy the surfaces of a sub-component and then collapse the copy feature so that I can be free to move the resulting independent geometry feature "up the model tree" and use it as a visual reference. (screenshot above is from assembly mode) Thing is, sometimes this tool is not available (it is grayed out). I am not sure about what are the conditions for its availability. I think it depends on whether the model is used in another assembly (that is in session) and also seems affected by presence of family table instances / models made "flexible". Does anyone have similar experience? I'm still on Creo4, BTW.
How would I shorten the text displayed for a parameter in a note. For our system, our File Names are stored as: for example: XYY4512999-1_x_TM_CP. And this is what is displayed when I use the parameter &model_name on a multi-sheet drawing, which defines the components of an assembly. However, all I really want to display is XYY4512999-1 (everything up until the first underscore). Is there a switch or modifier I can apply along with the parameter callout which will cause the note to only display the text up until the underscore character?
I have attempted, but failed, to authorize my Mathcad 15.0 program. Is there anything that can be done to make this program work? If not, is it possible for me to upgrade to a current version and get credit for the Mathcad 15.0 that I already purchased?I am in urgent need of the use of this program. Anything that can be done to expedite getting this corrected would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi everyone,do you have experience to format the xml for the Creo Illustrate title block?I would like to create what you see in image attachedalternatively you could take the image and place it in the lower right corner.Thank you,Matteo.
I've just installed Creo 7 & everything went OK, the issue I have is when I attempt to create a new part or open an existing Creo 6 part I get a traceback error then it crashes. My software supplier has said it's due to my hardware not being supported by PTC. What spec of machine should I be looking at to get it to run or do I wait to see if it will be supported. It runs Creo 6 without any problems.
i would like to make FH4, FH3, FH2, FH1 the same value. only by changing alpha. i would be very gratfull if someone can help
To have a chance to see drawing ".drw" object is checked out when it is opened in Creo Parametric. - I can see that CAD model is checked out in "model tree", I can see the .drw object is modified, but I am not able to see anywhere in Creo paramteric window, that .drw object is checked out. Do you have any idea, how to display it in drawing tree?
At the point when I work out segment properties for a bar, I for the most part run AutoCAD's MASSPROP order on the segment and afterward do any extra examination in MathCAD. I'm frequently doing composite pillars, radiates with custom shapes, and so on so I can't depend on wizardry equations for explicit shapes. There are a couple of properties that I haven't had the option to work out as effectively, for example, the torsional steady, distorting consistent, plastic segment modulus about plastic segment centroid, and monosymmetry steady. These are tracked down utilizing limited component examination. I have a python Programming interface composed by Robbie van Leeuwen called SECTIONPROPERTIES, and it's perfect yet my partners don't have the foggiest idea how to utilize Python. So with that unique situation, my inquiry is "How might I utilize MathCAD Prime to cut a part into discrete components and run a limited component examination or settle differential conditions o?
Hello, In my Creo schematic file i used a label with Rounded Box type. But during export to PDF i could not get the label text with "Rounded Box". Please suggest me a solution.
When trying to apply draft on surface styled parts, or can say class A surfaces, Creo is not allowing to apply drafts. What could be the reason. Here I am considering plastic parts which have a wall thickness.I think, drafts can only be applied on surfaces which have 90 deg relationship to the reference plane or surface which we are considering the parting line.
The company has just upgraded from Creo 4 to Creo 7.From std.out:....\text\config.sup, linenum 66: Keyword 'ENABLE_ABSOLUTE_ACCURACY' is not valid.Has option enable_absolute_accuracy been deprecated in Creo7?
When assemblies are updated from Inventor in Illustrate, parts are positioned incorrectly. Apparently, the transformation is taken from a deleted part. This problem does not occur with PVZ files from Creo.Do any of you have experience with Inventor and Illustrate?
Hello,I am getting a weird issue in creo cabling while routing a cable. It doesn't follow the network path even if a continuous network path is available.I then need to do follow cable to make it route through the desired path.
What is the right way to represent spot weld in Creo/ Example please
When i click on the "assemble relative to board" option, after i select the part i want... nothing happens. the component placement menu doesn't show Is there any option i have to turn on or something like that ? Thanks
Hello, I'm (happily) getting back into CREO (version 10) after a 5 year stint in SW. I have to create new drawing formats and templates to reflect changes we've made to our title block over the years. I have my C-size format and template working well. Is there an easy way to save as to other sizes and keep my title block and all parameters? Thanks,
I have downloaded the latest Creo Schematics 7.0.0.0 F000 from PTC server. While doing our testing, I am getting below warning message about the license expires in 14 days. But our license coordinator mentioned that our license is valid till Dec 2023. May I know the reason for getting the warning during start up. Any fix need from user side or PTC side?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.10.0I am trying to simulate the effect of a lathe machining on a part with planarity errors.with my licence i decided to try to suse machaism design to simulate the rotation of a part, move another part as it is the tool of the lathe, then get the 3d curve from the mechanism as it is the "machining" result.problem is that that curve has very weird results depending on the settings on the "graphic visualization" on the Analysis definitoon windows.i don't understand why
When I'm in drawing mode, I select the annotation tab to make creo change the selection filter to "Annotation" and allow me to select datums etc. However if I want to then move a view, and I swap back to the "Layout" tab, the selection filter stays on Annotation rather than switching back to "General", the result being every time I select an annotation, I end up having to manually change the selection filter back again. Am I missing something? Surely this can't be the intended behaviour?
The trial version for Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0 states that it has full functionality for 30 days. However, as I am using it, there are several functions that are unavailable to me. They even state "Note: This premium feature will be disabled after the 30-day, full functionality license expires. To use this and other premium features, please upgrade to a full license using the 'Upgrade' button. Specifically, I am trying to test out the excel embed functions within Prime as a long time Mathcad 15 user and this is not available to me to be able to do an evaluation. All buttons are greyed out and even converting old sheets over to Prime does not allow for the use of excel.
Dear all the reason of my posting is an failed conversion of a MathCAD 15 file/model to MathCAD Prime 7.0In particular this Model contains a quite complex differential equation, and after using the converter the new MathCAD Prime 7.0 model output an error on the command line which should start the solver (in this case it is the rkfixed, but the same error occurs also with other solvers. The red mark of the error is put on the "D" of the beforehand differential equation, the error report is (in german) "Ein_Aufrufziel_hat_einen_Ausnahmefehler_verursacht." This means something like "a call target has caused an exception error" (I do not know the exact error description in the english version). As MathCAD 15 is terminated by the supplier, we need a solution to further operate this MathCAD model. Attachment: The MathCAD 15 file and the MathCAD Prime 7.0 file after conversion. The said Differential equation ist given on Page 13...15 in MathCAD 15, on Page 16...18 in MathCAD Prime 7
