I am working on an assembly of a launching mechanism. Within this assembly I have created an assembly for the launch housing, an assembly for the locking mechanism and a parent assembly they both reside in with a series of parts and springs. In the parent assembly I have constrained the feature that is being pulled and locked into place with 2 constraint sets. "latched" and "unlatched" with the same series of constraints placed on the lock assembly. Within this parent assembly I have created a family table showing the instances of the assembly in both the "latched" and "unlatched" position, also within the lock assembly I have created a family table with similar instances in both the "latched" and "unlatched" position. The issue arises when I attempt to attach the locking assembly parameters within the parent assembly. Upon adding a table column and defining the addition using the parameter stipulation I select the locking assembly and it does not show a parameter to insert.

Following is a frequent use case for me:An assembly is opened in Creo View from Windchill. The assembly contains various annotation sets. Now the assembly is saved from Creo View to the local hard drive as a PVZ file. In this process, all annotation sets are lost. Is there any way to save the PVZ file locally including the existing annotation sets?

Hello ,    can we automation line Break option in Creo drawing so that we dont have to do it one by one and there are lot of such dimensions in drawing which are overlapping. If there is a mechanism which can detect overlapping dimensions and provide line beak can save lot of time in drawing      

Creo 5:Anyone else having to wait 20+ seconds for the Creo's Appearance's menu to open at times?  What can i do to speed it up?

I have a ModelCHECK use case where some parameters may or may not exist.  I have discovered that if I only list the name of the parameter, then ModelCHECK will not report the parameter as "extra".  But if I add extra requirements to the parameter in the .mcs file then ModelCHECK considers the parameter as "required."   I would prefer to continue to check for "extra parameters" as defined in the conditions file. Can I define the con which is.   "If the parameter exists then it must be a string" In this case "the parameter may exist"PRT_PARAMETER NOTE In this case "the parameter is required and must be a string"PRT_PARAMETER NOTE STR   

I am trying to export an exploded view out of Creo Parametric 7.0 into Creo View format but for whatever reason it will not create the exploded state. I have tried doing the export from Creo Parametric when the model is in both the exploded and unexploded states and I have tried opening the model with both Creo View Lite 4.1 and Creo View Standard (I believe it was 4.0). No matter what I try the model I see in Creo View is always the unexploded state and the "Preset Explode" button is greyed out. Does anyone know what the issue might be and why I can't get the export to work?

We have new designer onboard soon. IT is planning to buy DELL precision 5570, with video card NVIDIA® RTX™ A2000, 8 GB GDDR6. This computer and video card are not listed in the PTC hardware list for Creo 5.0.  Is this computer will be good for Creo 5.0? What driver version need to be for Creo 5?

Hello, is there a way to specifically search for elements without children and list them all up? This would really help with cleaning up the part. It would probably be best to delete unused elements right away, but in reality that's not going to work all the time. Regards, Patrick   

We upgraded to Creo9 last week and now I can't control the layers per view anymore.It's the whole drawing all the time even when I select a given view the layer status changes for the whole drawing. This is the first time I can remember seeing this. Does anyone have an answer for this?

Hello dear members, Is there a way that Fasteners assembly doent show up in BOM but its members are shown with correct qty?Let me give an example, suppose 1234 is a Fasteners assembly consist of a bolt+ Nut+ 2Washers. Now I am bringing this assembly into another assembly lets say 5678. In 5678, I am patterning the 1234(assembly) three times, will it be possible in 5678 BOM to show 3bolt+3nut+6washers as individual lines with correct qty, but not to show 1234 fasteners assembly in BOM line of 5678. Thanks.

Is there way to control the representation in the family table? or Any way to control the subassembly in the top level assembly ? refer the attached image  i want to swap the instance of 020008946_Generic at top level MB000A014 thru top level family table. pls suggest.  Suggest an alternate way if the above listed options don't exists in Creo.

That means after you have selected and copied the text and are back in ME10, select the desired action with the pen; then put the pen away ; take mouse and position cursor at desired place, press middle mouse button/wheel to paste; put mouse away and then take pen again to continue working..So I'm was looking for something like an INQ-query (which unfortunately doesn't exist) that I could put into a macro and trigger from the tablet or keyboard.Is it somehow possible to write the clipboard content to a file that can be accessed with OPEN_INFILE ? I have a project stored in my Model Manager installation (models and drawings).   I have to send my project to my customer that is also using Creo Direct/Modeling but without Model Manager.   Is there a quick way to export model and drawings in a single zip file? The task is easy for the 3d-model, but I don't find the way to automatically collect all drawings related to this design.

Is there a way to have the Item number generator different for each profile type? Hi. I have MathCad Prime 8.0 student version/license. That will expire after 17 days now and I like to renew it. I try to do it online but webpage is asking Customer Number, Product Code or something else what I cant find or dont know. How I can renew my student license and can I renew it to MathCad 9.0? My studies is still going on so am I still justified to same price?I love U product. Most students of our department use Texas Instrument's TI-nspire CX series calculators and MathCad ofcourse. There is many apps/softwares for that calculator. It would be SUPER if theres any way to convert MathCad to that calculator too. I and propably many others would buy that product. Calculator work already like mathcad, except it count row by row so U cant change variables (which U have set on start) at end of calculations. Basicly U should do only worksheet's instead of row's or like row's should be interactive. Let me know if U ever gonna do that.

Hi everyone, I am wanting to create a family table that allows the user to pick from a list some options for features. Like, do you want 3 grooves on the face or only 2 grooves.  Our parts are just optional features that sometimes vary in size. I was looking at nested family tables but it doesn't seem like I can select an instance from the subfamily table in the main family table. Our parts are very simple and of the 10 features there are only 2-5 different variations which is why I am not worried about using a family table. Ideally I would like this to easily translate into a drawing so I am not having to put a lot of dimensions for each new drawing. I need one drawing per instance. Thank you in advance for the help!

I used the family table patternize instance feature to make several shafts that change with their length. I am making a drawing and I want to pull in and show the incremental value that the patternize feature used. Is there a symbolic name (like &dxxx) for this particular dimension? I've looked several places and can't seem to find anything.
