A friendly hello to all, again i need help. It's about the recursion u(n+2)=7*u(n+1)-3*u(n)+3 for natural numbers n. How does the calculation and tabulation work in MC15? In derive I managed it successfully. But in MC15 everything is possible, just not the correct result. I just can't get a grip on programming in MC 😞 .The background is the transformation of the formula u(n)=((1/2)*(7+sqrt(37))^n+((1/2)*(7-sqrt(37))^n-1 given in Binet-Art into a recursion and examination of divisibility by 3.Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar
Hi Created cylinder in creo by using extrude, I need to use this surface in optical analysis, But when i click surface, just half of them selecting, for the other one we need to select with CTRL, But this is no good my optical simulation, Simulation software requires me just 1 clicking , How can built this part as a on single surface,
I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0We recently upgraded from 4.0 to 7.0. In 4.0 when we exported a design as a pdf if we were to open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro and edit text the text was editable as an entire entity such as a sentance/paragraph.In 7.0 if we edit the text the same way all text now are separate entities and each individual letter/word has to be changed separately.
With Creo 9 removing the deprecated Gtoldata API methods, it's not clear to me how to get all the same data points we were previously. It seems relatively clear how to replace the "has a specific symbol" methods like ProGtoldataDiameterGet() and ProGtoldataMatCondGet() by searching the value strings returned by ProGtolCompositeGet() for the strings returned by ProGtolSymbolStringGet(). However, I have no clue how I'm supposed to parse those value strings to get the same data provided by ProGtoldataPerUnitGet() and ProGtoldataProjZoneGet(). I would like specific instructions clarifying this for each return value of the deprecated methods.I also have many more specific questions the documentation didn't answer. Specifically:Is it true that ProGtolValueStringGet() returns the exact same string as the first value in the value array returned by ProGtolCompositeGet()?Is it true that the primary/secondary/tertiary strings returned by ProGtolDatumReferencesGet() are exactly the same as the firs
I'm looking for compatible versions of Visual studio to customize Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0 and confused that PTC articles are telling to use Visual Studio 2019 v142 but available versions under 2019 build are only 16 and above. Is it okay to use Microsoft visual studio 2019 v16 and above? Is it fine if I go for version 2022?
Is there a way to find max values for two columns, outputted as one column in prime 9?
I'm writing this as I had to work long on a converted legacy Mathcad document to prime.Since being forced to convert legacy Mathcad documents to Prime I get from colleagues (who're proof reading my calculations) the following questions:What does EXPLICIT mean? Why don't you cut down on the surplus decimals in equations? What happened to the tidy calculation reports I used to submit? All this proves that Mathcad Prime is far from the "...professionally formatted document..." PTC claims to provide. See results in the screen shot below.
I am trying to install MathCad. But i have not recieved a license. I am a student and i did recieve the download link. In the installer it does not show any applications to install.
Hi, look like solving block solves the equation, but lower, it says that the variable is undefined. What am I missing?
I have not used the Thermal Mode of Creo Simulate and I'm struggling with this problem. I have a hot exhaust component that is heating a nearby pin joint and causing grease in the joint to leak out. There is a gap between the components of about 31mm so the only way for the exhaust to heat the pin joint is by convection and radiation. The exhaust is 300 degrees C and the ambient temperature is 0 degrees C. I want to determine how hot the pin joint gets after X amount of time, say 5-10 minutes. I don't know what the heat load is so I am trying to do this with prescribed temperature boundary conditions. I looked through the course viewer but didn't find anything that helped me with this problem. Is Creo Simulate even capable of doing this or do I need to go to Creo Flow Analysis? This is a simplified version of the model. I'm representing the exhaust with the yellow part.
Management has asked me some questions about MathCAD 15 that our users are refusing to upgrade to MathCAD Prime 9. We have licenses for both programs. Are there any security issues with using MathCAD 15 and the files it generates? We are working in the nuclear industry so a lot of the calculations and data used are classified and we want to be sure that nothing in MathCAD will allow that data to be inadvertently compromised. Does someone know when the End of Support date was for MathCAD 15? We can maybe use this as leverage to force the users to adapt to MathCAD Prime 9.
When I load one of the example project files, the tab will appear; however, any models of my own will not have the tab, and there is no option to make it visible either.I am launching Creo from the FloEFD executable in the start menu, and the Simcenter splash appears while Creo loads, so it is infact working. It just can't be used.
An image imported into Mathcad when scaled does not show properly. It does not matter even if the image is having high resolution. This problem has been persistent since many versions of Mathcad Prime. Please fix the issue.
CREO Version 7.0.4.0Win-10GPU: RTX A2000 8GBRAM: 24GB Within a newly created part-file, when I extrude a line or curve as a surface.- Upon completion the extrude is hidden- When I Un-hide the extrusion, it remains invisible on the part. What I've tried:- Reboot- Changing the following configuration settings (both in-session only, and added to config.pro) - shade_surface_feat no - style_surface_mesh_display on - u3d_create_color_surfaces yes Not able to get surface models to show still. See video for creation steps. Thanks in advance for any ideas...(view in My Videos)
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0We have a J-Link Applications in which we run a simple asynchronous mode.In one of the module, we load a part model and retrieve various part properties, in particular the Mass Properties.Everything ran smoothly up to Creo Parametric 5, but version 9, we are getting an "pfcExceptions.XToolkitGeneralError" when trying to read the Mass properties from the model. We could retrieve the Mass properties from the same model using Creo 3 and Creo 5.We have verified the following troubleshoot guidelines according to the documantation:- Make sure the environment variable PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE is set to full path to pro_comm_msg, including file name, including .exe on Windows.- Make sure the environment variable PRO_DIRECTORY is set to Creo Parametric installation directory.- Make sure name service () is running. Please let us know if any other information is required from our side.Best RegardsHere are the errors that I faced:pfcExceptions.XToolk
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0I'm creating a parametric model with family table (end product will be a metal cast part). All basic features (revolves, extrudes, etc) scale appropriately with the values in the family table. However, when I added draft features, these features were failing in the dependent models (not failing in the generic model). It appears that draft features are losing their associativity to the relevant faces/edges/planes/etc, even when these features are still present in the failed model with the same name and number.
I am having issues with the following ModelCheck checks in my start file. I want to be sure that the CLASSIFICATION parameter is set to only one of the values set in the classification.txt file. I have also set it to issue an error if CLASSIFICATION is missing in the parameter list or has no value set. Hi, Can someone upload a worksheet sample on how to use Tags and internal Links Cheers Terry
On a brand new install of Creo, I'm having an immediate issue with the embedded browser...The contents of all tabs in the embedded browser are shifted to the right so that a portion is cutoff. Resizing the window only changes the amount of white blank space to the left of the content. I don't have Windchill setup currently to see if it is affected as well.I've done some quick Community searches and haven't seen any similar issues posted in the past. I've also tried some config.pro modifications to see if I could fix it myself to no avail. Thanks.
Starting with Creo 7 PTC changed the start parts to have absolute tolerance instead of relative tolerance because of multibody. I am aware of the topics on this board discussing absolute vs relative. I am curious as to whether anyone has done any studies about whether this has impacts on large assembly management.
I have an Excel file that has merged cells. I don't want to pull the native file into Creo. I am importing these now as a .csv but when I do that I loose the merged cells. Does anyone have a technique or a better way of doing this? I looked at creating my own tbl file but they are not straight text.
I have assemblies with lots of representations. I often need to go back and add something but I only need it in one of the representations but it adds it to all the representations. I have tried activating the specific representation and performing the addition but it still adds to all. Then I have to go and edit all the other representations removing the newly added component which can waste a significant amount of time. Thanks!
Hello,I'm using gamer keyboard for a long time.(for 18 keys programmables for my principals mapkeys).I wanted to test this device.I can't setup it.Chinese software seems not to work.Anybody has test and configure this ?Thanks a lot !
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0What if the angle dimension does not display the suffix zero? I filled in 'ang_unit_trail_zero' and changed it to 'yes', but it didn't work. I tried searching for' draw_ang_unit_trail_zero 'but couldn't find it. I hope everyone can answer this question. Thank you.
Hi Guys, Can someone please simplify the final expression for fixed end moment for a point load at any point on the beam? Please see the attached file. Solution should look like below expressions of Fixed end moment Ma = -Pab^2/L^2Mb = +Pa^2 b/L^2
