I’m starting to learn how GD&T works, but I’ve run into an issue. For a plunger pump, I’m making this 2D drawing. I set datum A as the surface the housing rests on, datum B as the axis of the large gears, and datum C as the cover surface with the roller bearing for the shaft carrying the small gear. Now the problem is the area where the crosshead runs. I’m not sure how to dimension this correctly. Should I use a position tolerance relative to B–A–C, or is it better to use parallelism and perpendicularity? Are there other correct methods?Below are two screenshots showing where my datums are located and what the pump looks like in section.
For a school project, I need to make 2D drawings of already existing 3D parts.Normally, I specify my tolerances (for example 10 n6) using the menu shown in the picture. However, now I can’t do this. Is it because the files date from 2017 and were created in an older Creo version than the one I’m currently using? Also is there a site or forum where i can let my 2D drawings be checked? i got a exam coming up and would love to have them checked but idk if that existsHow can I fix this? I am using Creo 12.4 Education.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeF000I need to store a background image used in a Creo drawing as a Windchill-managed document so others can see it. Currently when I try to create/import a Graphics Dynamic Document (or other Document) in Product I get: ‘You do not have create permission for this object.’ Could you please grant me Create permission for documents in this product/folder, or create a shared library/folder where I have create rights for such image documents?
It says that i have reached my maximum number of license avaiable for my product
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.6.0PDM Server to Local workspace Connectivity issuesHere are the errors that I faced1.The child, top-level assembly was loaded, but the retrieval error persisted even after leaving the system connected to the network for 9 hours.(During this time, we did not disturbed Creo interface).
XMCD,MCD Converter tab is greyed out. i need to open a .XMCD file created in Mathcad 15
I am attempting to install Mathcad 14.0 from CD on a new PC but am unable to complete the license setup due to a "(403) Forbidden" error. I suspect this may be related to the age of the software version. Does anyone know how to solve this?
So a few days ago i made a post of my graphs not working. Back then i asked 3 teachers to look at it but they all couldn't solve it. Luckly the ptc community could. But now i need to present the solution and i want to add fancy things so it looks more complex then it is.For example first check of something is a range but somehow my second value wont work for it.Any other idea's to make it look more complicated?
Hello everyone, I'm building some mapkeys to create some basic functionality that PTC forgot to add in the past 10 years. To do this I'm using the "find tool", which works okay-ish. You can't use the saved query mode though, because sometimes it takes too long to load the query and then it's already finished doing all the mapkey commands, so you have the build the query every single time in the mapkey.... But I'm getting sidetracked. Right now I'm building a mapkey that hides all fasteners in the model. So I use the find tool to look for all fasteners and then hide them. However after running the mapkey, my whole model tree is expanded to the level where every single fastener is.I have tried changing auto_locate_in_tree to every possible option but that only works for items you select by clicking on them.I don't want to use collapse all, because if I was already deep in the tree when running the mapkey, I'd have to dig again. Any ideas on how to do this?
Maybe I am the weird but I would like to be able to format results using commas to make the "thousands" and "millions" clear.I realize that one can use engineering notation with powers of 10^3, 10^6, etc. but it would be nice to be able to have "3,000.00" or "42,000,500"One has always had that available in Excel (or its long departed competitors... Anyone remember Visicalc or SuperCalc?)--Doug
I am using Creo Parametric 11.0.6.0. In AutoCAD, there is a feature called compare with which we could compare the drawings and find out the changes that are made. In the above image, the holes are changed from Dia 10 to Dia 8. On using the compare tool, the affected regions highlighted with cloud like marking. Is there an equivalent feature in Creo that does the same function as above?
We are using Creo View 10.1.0.0. I am trying to learn how the two compare tools work (geometry and view state). I cannot determine how Creo view decides where to place the Compare Report [annotation set]. Sometimes it puts it in the first picked iteration, sometimes it puts it in the second picked iteration. I saw a video where someone actually had the iterations shown in the primary panel, next to the part file name. Unfortunately, ours does not show this info. Is there a way to show it? I was thinking if I knew which was which, I might be able to determine where the report gets saved.
I am creating hole table from points and customized the table according to requirements i,e added some rows but after putting table on drawing when it is need to update by clicking "UPDATE TABLES" it failing all added rows are failed not showing properly .Kindly help to resolve this issue or how can we customized the hole table according to our requirements. Please see attached snaps for reference.

Hello,I'm trying to make an "If" statement on Mathcad 15 that is able to pull a value for Alpha based on the Exposure Category assigned (B, C or D). I did this on Mathcad Prime (see snip) but having problems replicating it on Mathcad 15. I defined exposure earlier as " E = "B", but when i try to type the if statement it says "Cannot understand this syntax". Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Hi All,We are using Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0As part of our migration from Creo Weblink to CreoJS, we are using the following Weblink code to display messages in the Creo Message Log: Existing Weblink Code:function printMsg(msg){var texts = pfcCreate("stringseq");texts.Append(msg + "\n");try {var glob = pfcCreate("MpfcSession");glob.GetCurrentSessionWithCompatibility(2);g_session = glob.GetCurrentSession();g_session.UIDisplayMessage("usermsg.txt", "USER %0s", texts);} catch (e) {}}In Creo Weblink, we used below code for pfcCreate but for CreoJS this is not needed:function pfcCreate (className){if (pfcIsWindows()) return new ActiveXObject ("pfc."+className); else if (pfcIsChrome()) return pfcCefCreate (className); else if (pfcIsMozilla()) { netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege("UniversalXPConnect"); ret = Components.classes ["@ptc.com/pfc/" + className + ";1"].createInstance(); ret
Hello guys, I am facing an issue with the ProUIDialogCreate API returning PRO_TK_GENERAL_ERROR when a dialog creation DLL is invoked from another DLL. When the same DLL is executed independently, ProUIDialogCreate returns PRO_TK_NO_ERROR and the dialog is created successfully. Note: The ProUIDialogCreate call is implemented inside the user_initialize() function.if anyone knows the solution, pls let me know.regardsAraivnd

I In .drawing the way to bring an image is clean and nice resolution. WHY in .format, it has different setting for Layout? No Images option! What is the best way to bring image in format the same way as in drawing? Thanks in advance! ALWAYS SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO FIND IN CREO!
Hi,I am working on a large assembly file which contains a sub assembly that is modelled with flexible dimensions. The screen shot of the assembly is as shown below: I have made use, of 2 instances of above assembly as a sub assembly in top level assembly and shown them in different configurations as shown below. This was done by modifying the flexible dimensions shown above: Now the questions are:Q1:Is there a better method to manage large assemblies such as this? because every single time the file regenerates, it takes a lot of time.Q2:Instead of using flexible dimensions, the other alternative is to make use of mechanisms (which i think is the ideal case) but when the sub assembly is modelled using mechanisms, it becomes difficult to control the varying dimensions (angles and distance) for each instance separately. How do we control this separately? For example:Set and lock, Angle-1 to 60° in Instance-1 and 30° in Instance-2 Thanks!
I need to hire a consultant to help set up a spreadsheet to parse and analyze arrays of data. Any ideas who is out there?
I activated a 30-day trial on an older computer, but almost immediately, problems with my computer (not related to the download) forced me to re-install Windows 11, which was a major project over the next three weeks in order to get the computer back running smoothly. Needless to say, my trial period ran out. I contacted the chat bot online and it told me to reinstall Mathcad 11 Prime, which I did, but when requesting a 30-day trial license, the program ran my email address and said I had exhausted my number of trial requests. I am wondering if I can please re-try the software for 30 days, since my computer is running well now? I have plans to buy the software sometime in the future but am not able to at present.
I'm very new at compound surfaces. I'm using Creo 9 and I'm trying to create a surface from a sequence of curves shown in the first few pictures. In the past I've been successful with using boundary blend to get a basic surface that I need. However this case is more complicated than normal in that not only do I have 2 directions of curves I also have an outline it needs to extrapolate to. The next picture is a successful boundary blend in one direction (it fails when I try to add in the secondary direction curves) but as you can see it spills out over the perimeter in some locations and doesn't fill in the perimeter in others. To be honest I'm not really sure how to add in the perimeter curve as a constraint. This next picture is the closest I've gotten to a fully filled in outline by selecting the curves in the other direction from the picture above and adding in a selection of the perimeter. The result as you can see is not desirable as th
