CAD

Would anyone know how to model a locking patch screw feature like the one you can find in the STEP files that are available from McMaster Carr with the threads modeled? As the picture shows, there is a very small protrusion coming off the screw threads to represent the locking patch. I can easily create a datum curve and project it onto the threads, which for all practical purposes is sufficient. But I am quite annoyed that I cannot figure out how to actually make it as a protrusion. If McMaster Carr can figure it out, it seems like I should be able to. I find the visible locking feature quite handy to make sure the locking patch is actually engaged with the mating threads. Eternal thanks if anyone has any suggestions.

I downloaded the 30 day trial version of mathcad and when i try to install it it keeps giving me the same error which is ''Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install.''But I am sure there is nothing installing at the moment I already restart my PC several timesAny Help! thank you 

Hello, We have 3 jLink (java) applications/plugins correctly running on PTC Creo 7 + Java 8. Now we're testing Creo 7 + Java 11 (because of future upgrade to Creo 9/10 with Java 11). We've compiled plugins files with a same JDK11 but one of the plugins fails running with message 'Startup of application "app name" failed.' Plugins configuration is same, they're using same otk/pfc dependency, same java version for compilation and same Creo 7 instance.  I've found this article but most of points are not suitable as other two plugins are running properly. Is there a more detailed log file of creo application startup to see any detailed information what goes wrong when starting plugin? Any other idea how to debug/investigate it? Thank you very much.

Hello, I imported a CAD assembly into Creo and now I want to export the assembly as a creo asm file. Would it be possible to export all files in that assembly as a creo part file? Please see the image attached. Also, I noticed that when I export it is only the assembly not the parts within the assembly is there a way around this or is this the extent of exporting? Thanks in advance!     

I want to centralize the config.pro in a shared drive location. Basically, when users launch parametric, it has to use the config.pro from that shared drive. I have gone through few articles and came to know about config,sup and I'm still not clear the concept of this. Please assist me here. Thanks in Advance!

Ctl g does not work.  It teverts to regular text.  Is this possible in any table or matrix.  The text is in quotes in the table.

I'm trying to use a subroutine to create multiple parts in one program.  But instead of incrementing the position each time, it just cuts the first part position over and over again.  I've tried absolute / incremental, and I've tried the different "base coordinate system" options, and they all have the same effect.  My post isn't set up for subroutine program calls, so I always have "Copy CL" selected.  The simulation shows all 400 parts being cut correctly, but on the machine, only the first position is cut (over and over). It always outputs a fixture coordinate system (G110, G111, G112, etc.) and the X/Y positions just stay the same in each block.  I want the X/Y positions to increment with each block.  Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?  Or if there is some post option I need to edit? 

Hello everyone! My 17" laptop, which had Mathcad 15 installed, "died" after 15 years of honorable service. Fortunately I still have another laptop that runs M15. Having a new 17", I would like to buy M- Prime 11, but how can I get the retiree discount, if there are only two options for purchasing: 1) Mathcad Prime (Single license) €811/yr; 2) Student edition €90/yr? There are a bunch of hidden parts in my assembly I want to see but when I unhide them with the "show" button they don't show up. If I open up just the part by itself, it just opens up an empty part. I can see the outline of the part when I hover over it in the navigation tree but I can't find any way to enable it. Any help would be appreciated! I was sent this file so maybe it has something to do with the parts being on someone else's computer but half of them load so I don't really know why it's not working. Below is a picture of the hidden parts and the outline I can see. Clicking suppress, activate, or show doesn't do anything.This is what I see when I open the part. It only ever has the outline. (I made sure the display style isnt in wireframe)

Hello,I’m using Mathcad Prime 11 and have registered the Automation DLL successfully. However, when attempting to instantiate ApplicationCreator, I receive E_NOTIMPL. I confirmed that CLSID {A00EB895-D415-433F-A04E-D298A45A7BB7} is registered and points to MathcadPrime.exe, but it appears that the actual COM implementation is missing.Could you confirm whether Mathcad Prime 11 includes the full Automation COM server implementation, or if a separate SDK or license is required to enable ApplicationCreator and related interfaces?Thanks,Johnny Abudayeh

Hi.I'm using MathCad 14 with Windows 11.  When I click "help" and "Quicksheets,"  it says "Unable to open C\contents\qheet\*.hbk.  The C:\contents directory doesn't exist.  When I create it and load Quicksheets from the install disk, I get "Unable to open C\contents\qheet\toc_qs.xmcd.  Should I do a complete reinstall, or will it not work with the new Windows?...Larrylarry@capsense.com 

Hello, I have an assembly that uses various lengths of raw materials. To indicate this, we list the raw material and what length to cut it at. We currently have it set up so there is a special "CUT_LENGTH" parameter controlling this length for use with pre-defined flexibility and easy identification of the driving parameters. We want to add this parameter to the CONFIG.PRO file so we don't have to manually add this parameter in every time. When doing so, it defaults to a "0" when not being used (which is ok) but it shows this in the custom BOM, so we end up having to delete the parameter per each item. Instead of having to delete said parameter, we would like to have it controlled by a relation that basically says "If the cut length is equal to 0, replace the value in the BOM with a blank, but leave all other cells alone." I can get it to edit all of the cells where the "CUT_LENGTH" parameter is shown at once with no issue. But when I try to specify which ones to change/leave alone, Cr

Hello, I am relatively new to Creo illustrate and I wanted to ask for a guide to creating manuals (lets say I created a figure and now I want to display the figure and the respective sBOM in a manual format) since I saw that the software has the capability to do so. Also, I heard you can export it as 3D pdf or Jpeg is there a more optimal way or a standard protocol when creating manuals using Creo illustrate? Thank you.

Hi, I've been struggling to find a straightforward way to export quilts directly to Blender, without having to go through additional software. Isn't there a way to export quilts in common polygon formats like glTF, FBX, OBJ, or STL? All other software I’ve used offers smooth export options without these extra steps. Why does PTC make this process so complicated for users? I'm using CREO 11 & 12

whenever I multiply an array by numbers and store it in an array I get this: because of those brackets, if add other values to u''0 and I try to call u''0 and displays like this: why is that happening and what is the proper syntax to avoid this issue? 

Can anyone provide an example of how to apply the InMixedState attribute to a Radio Group?  I want to create a radio group with two selections AND I do not want a default item preselected. I want to force the user to pick one. I my example image below, item one is selected. I want neither to be selected.  The Creo UI Editor documentation seems to indicate this is possible by setting InMixedState. I just can't figure out how to do it.
