Creo+ and Creo Parametric

is there a recommended way to package the install of creo via intune? and is there an easier way to set the config settings? the config for schools.bat is all well and good for one PC but i need to send this to up to 30 computers 

as far as I know it's a problem that exist at least since PRO-E WILDFIRE 3.still present in CREO 9. every time that I edit a view on the drawing, to rotate that view (i.e. a 3D view of the assembly or part), the planes show-up and I have to manually remove the visibility of these planes.it's happening every single time.if I toggle the visibility off then close the editing view (Drawing View) then I'll redo it again, the problem came back again; rotating the view toggle the visibility of the planes back again and I have to remove manually.the problem is limited to when you use the "View Orientation > Angles" part to orientate the view.if you rotate the view with the other orientation method the problem will not appear. before asking there I tried to read articles, search on-line etc. and I can't understand if it's the cad not properly set-up or it's something that has been designed that way.maybe it's me that wasn't able to find the right search keywords?I tried also search

I'm reading the following article (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS420647):  Trying to unbend sheetmetal through Creo's C++ TOOLKIT provided example (without user interaction) results in memory access exceptions no matter what I do. Looking for alternative solutions, I've found the article above. At the end, it says I could use the following functionsProCmdSmtFlatPat()ProCmdSmtUnbend()Using Creo's interactive mode, but I can't find any reference forthis mode neither for the functions listed.Where can I find these two functions?

Dear PTC CEO and programers. Deae PROE FANSI wrote this to the PTC, but no response. Forward message>I am using PROE WF5 PRO/nc as cad/cam system CAD is OK I like it. BUT!!! CAM-PRO/NC is not a CAM. When you make something new it is 80% buttons an menus, but engine is the same all the time.You are making olny small changes. Your "CAM" can not compute toolpaths on backround (multitasking)It is not using multiple core technology, I am siting on my chair an waiting for hours. (I have XEON64bit 8GB RAM HP Z400) So wake up PTC. You have a lot of bugs in your "CAM" I am not your employe tester. Bugs are in re-rough, Rough, Finishing, Profile, local mill and surface steps. I’ve written a program that monitors Creo and logs the activity in the software. It’s not like a trail file, but similar in that it uses plain easy to understand text to log software operations. Hello all,I'm encountering an issue while converting numerous DXF files to PDF format using a Creo Mapkey. The generated PDF automatically opens in another application, interrupting the Mapkey process. This behavior persists even after changing the default PDF application. Any alternative suggestion to avoid this will be much helpful.

Hi All!  My creo is creo Parametric 10.0.3.  How does the wfcAssemblyExpressionRule works ? Can not find any details. Situation goes like: There is a part with given parameter like YEAR with value 2012. Part is child of "activeAssembly" After calling ListComponentsByAssemblyRule with expression  "YEAR==2012" I got something in message window like : WARNING: Symbol '�䋐ȃ' not found in model XXXXXXXX. Retrieving submodels. where '�䋐ȃ' is totally random and varies form run to another.  LogTrace  shows that everything is ok with expression string and model. We are experiencing an issue with borrowed licenses. We installed Creo 10.0.3.0 (we also run Creo 7.0.4.0) and since the Creo 10 install, Creo 7 will only run when connected to the network, and will not run from a borrowed license. We appear to be correctly borrowing a license using the ptcborrow.bat in "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 10.0.3.0\Parametric\bin" folder. Creo 10 will run from the borrowed license, but Creo 7 will not run. We receive the following error... License WarningLicense request failed for featureRequesting PROE_DesignAdvP...FLBCache: (-1) Cannot find License file.-96: Cannot connect to license server.Run ptcstatus.bat for server status. APX failed to load. IPX failed to load. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I want to know if there is a method first to activate the part in assembly then perform operation on feature present in that part. Hello, I am having an issue resolving a "unitless value assignment for symbol 'D22' error. I am using Creo 7. The part is a helical sweep to create a spring. The pitch of the spring is defined using parameters. The pitch is a calculated value from the parameter "LENGTH" and "NUMBER_OF_TURNS". I have applied units in the parameters window to "LENGTH", but it has not resolved the error.   I have also tried defining the dimension directly in the relations window, but that also does not resolve the issue. Any ideas as to why this might be? Thank you,John

Hi all hopefully a simple question, but i cant seem to find the answer.i have a simple contact static analysis setup to analyse the contact forces and stress in my designed snap fits on a plastic part retaining a pcb.it is my understanding that i should use the include snap through option in this analysis because running it without it and 10 equally spaced time steps throws a warning about excessive sliding at timestep 7, and causes it to run indefinitely seemingly*** Warning: Excessive displacement detected at contact regions.   Recovery will be attempted by reducing time step size.   Better convergence of the nonlinear solution may be achieved if   you redefine your analysis with smaller time steps .** Warning:           Complete sliding was detected at one or more contacts           in your model. I am trying to find a list of the special characters that are actually supported for notes in Creo (i.e. they don't appear as an empty box in the note). There are many times where I need to flag parts in a drawing with a special character like "▼" or "★".  The problem is Creo doesn't seem to fully support ASCII, HTML, or Unicode character sets so the only way to find the characters that work is by trial and error. Does anyone know of a complete list of the charters that will actual render in a note?

Hi I'm missing lines on my 2d drawing. Is it possible to "update" all views   

 I am working on cap and housing snap fit. I want to increase the length of the cap by 20mm. With this change, I want to have a robust fit between cap and housing with a consideration that the removal force is less than 25N. Does increasing the number of highlighted feature in the first image from 2 to 3 help? Any other suggestions are welcome. I am attaching the cap and housing files with a hope to get help from the community.

Hello all,We have a dozen legacy custom hole charts (Counterbore, countersink, UNF Pattern, UNF Single, etc.) that we would like to replace with three new charts by utilizing the "Setting Thread Note Format Based on Hole Feature Characteristics" as laid out here: Thread Notes. I don't know the history on why they were setup this way, but now we are trying to streamline.The issue is, if we remove the legacy hole charts, any existing models utilizing those charts will be broken - we would have thousands of models with many holes each that would need to be updated to the new hole charts.If we retain the legacy charts, it would lead to confusion due to similar chart names. Is there any way to get around this issue? Maybe retaining the charts within the system, but somehow hiding them in the standard hole tool? Or perhaps setting up a relationship between legacy charts names and new charts to automatically convert old models? Surely other companies must be running into this issue

We are having an issue using Creo over our VPN. When retreiving an assembly over vpn it is very slow and users are seeing a performance hit. When a user goes to retreive an assembly a bunch of temp files are written to their home directory which is on a network drive. Is there a way to change the creo home directory to use a local folder and not a network drive? Or does anyone have any other work arounds for this?  Thanks

Version:Creo Parametric 5.0.6.0 OTK C++Description: I tried a lot of combination of using RetrieveSymbolDefItem method but they seems don't get the right object.For example I'm using it like this :pfcDetailSymbolDefItem_ptr pDefSymDefItem = pOwner->RetrieveSymbolDefItem("circlerevice.sym", pfcDTLSYMDEF_SRC_PATH);Of course my pro_symbol_dir  is set and the symbol I want to retrieve("circlerevice.sym") is in the directory.I've tried add fullfilepath and change pfcDTLSYMDEF_SRC_PATH to pfcDTLSYMDEF_SRC_SYSTEM along with move symbol file from user defined dir to system symbol dir but the method still doesn't work.Can somebody help me?Thanks a lot. im trying to make a relation in an assembly between 2 sub assemblies. tried to do as written in the website, but cant see the session id after enabling it. i had a master part, that i created parts from it, then assembled those in 2 sub assemblies. it calls the parts 'extern copy of id'.  

I'm looking for a solution to modify the decimal places shown in the bend note in a sheet metal flat pattern. The default is 2 decimal places & its shown in the sheet part bend note as shown in this example below: ∠&benddir__&BendDim90_00° This needs to display as a parametric dimension in the drawing & not as a workaround. I am submitting a support case as well. @ links to members The versions of Creo I currently use are 9.0 & 11.0
