Hi everyone, I don't understand this situation, I edit dimensions of extrude and flat cannot generation. Anyone can explain? Thank you so much.
Hi everybody,I want to ask if WORKING DIRECTORY has a relative path like in "$PRO_DIRECTORY"I want to specify the search path of "foldersearch" which is specified in the current working directory.I would like to avoid having to edit config.pro for every new project.I use Creo 7 without Windchill. Thanks
Hello,I'm working as external engineering company. For few weeks, I 'm working with Creo8 for a customer on his Windchill server (with a VPN).But I also have other customer, and I can't find how to work without Windchill.I have Creo8 installed in c:\ptc_app\ and all its configurations. So I've tried to install a new version of Creo8 in c:\ptc\ without any configuration. But even in this case, Creo is connected to Windchill and I can't do local jobs.(save as can't permit me to save on local folder, for example...)So, is it possible to have one version of Creo for Windchill and with VPN.And an other "stand-alone" version for my other jobs ?Thanks
Hello community. Looking for someone who's walked my particular path before. I'm deep in the docs and forum posts, and I'm looking for a friend to lead me back out of the forest. 🙂 I work in airplane design. I am investigating options for a workflow where data about the final skin of an aerodynamic surface (i.e. wing, aileron, canard, etc) is generated and analyzed outside of Creo. This happens in an open source tool called OpenVSP. The aero surfaces can be exported in STEP and IEGS. I prefer IEGS because I can put them in a text editor and read them to be sure of exactly what I'm getting. For example, for the fuselage, I have 8 IEGS entities of type 128, "Rational B-Spline Surface". They are arranged around the four quarters of the forward half and aft half of the teardrop-shaped fuselage. When I import into Creo 10 with "default" import settings, things "seem" to work fine. But our aero designer is suspicious of the various "fixes", "reparameterization", and "simplify
Using Creo 8.0.8.0 lattice tool I have problems with generating lattices. I am replacing a volume with lattice and works well when I have "standard setting". Starting volume: Problems start with Quasi-radial cell propagation. Only one layer of lattice is generated in the volume.I tried to play with the Build direction and coordinate systems for the lattice definition (including first cell position), but nothing helps. Looks like the position of the original cell is not controllable with radial cell propagation. Did anyone experienced similar problems? also no labels for Lattice or AM tools
Dear all, I am working on a drawing in Creo 8.0.8.0 and I can't get my hole-notes to show up under "show annotation" I selected the features and the complete model but no hole-notes are showing up.In the model I can look at the "note" in the hole feature and it is present. What am I overlooking??
Hello,I'm wondering if it's possible to extract all mapkeys from a config.pro file and transform it to csv or xls file.In order to sort all of them (mapkeys keys and descriptions).I would like to clean all my config.pro files and test. Thanks !
I would like my BOM to reflect the order in which I assembled the components in my model. How do I do this?
I have been trying to build the protk_install_example solution provided by PTC and facing the errors shown in the screenshots below. I am using Creo 7.0.2.0 and VS19 to build the solution. I am using Creo Parametric Release 2.0 and DatecodeM250I'm encountering a fatal error crashing Creo. I opened a case about a month ago and tried to trouble shoot it myself with PTCs website and waited to see if it would resolve itself. But I think I need some human assistance. After more use it looks like it's only sheet metal parts, converting something to sheet metal that crashes Creo. Here are the errors that I faced-------------------------------------------------The trace creation timestamp is: Fri Sep 01 08:29:37 23The executable build timestamp is: Fri Sep 22 05:16:12 17The datecode is: 2017170The pro machine type is: x86e_win64The process ID is: 16112The traceback type is : CRASHThe logger exit status is: 00003-------------------------------------------------Exception EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION has occurred in the thread 16320.Main Thread 16320=====================0x00007FF7EB6642CF NULL (NULL:0) (xtop:0x00007FF7E8080000) ( 0x48b88790, 0x1a1e7470, 0x1a1e7488, 0x0 )0x00007FF7EB66
I need to create text on a surface. Simple enough, but the text needs to be like this:VERTICALI could create each letter individually, then align them and space them to make it look okay, but is there a more elegant solution? In short, is there a way to create a text string that is vertical but has the letters oriented in the "normal" way? Also, oddly enough, if you use the ISOFONT, the capital "I" is not centered on the letter. The text geometry is offset a bit to the right side. Weird.
I'm using Creo 2 M100 and recently upon startup there appears a script error message that requests a yes or a no to allow scripts. After several attempts of clicking on yes or no the message goes away but there is obviously a software glitch somewhere. How do I fix this? I'm no tech software person so would like a clear answer if anyone can let me know thanks!I am aware this has ocurred to other people on this forum but cannot understand how it was removed.
I am using Creo Simulate Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0upon start, Creo Simulate will regenerate the model, but copied-geometry seems invisible to Simulate, causing regeneration failure.. One solution i figured out is to right-click on the copied-geometry, change 'update control' to 'manual..', which tentatively solve the problem but isn't a decent solution. Wondering if there are other solutions?
Hi, I've got a very large .pts file (more than a billion points). When trying to import it inside Creo Parametric, it doesn't seem to recognise it. Is there a limit on how many points it can handle? Or is there a better way of doing this? Currently, I'm using a different software to view these points. This is fine for viewing but when I try to export my design/model into it, that's when it gets annoying as I lose sketches, datums, etc. and it is very time-consuming to constraint/place my model inside the points cloud. I'd appreciate any help on this. Cheers!
Hi all, I am trying to use a Decal to model the latices of a forster unico profile: I have managed to create a transparant decal and apply it to the model, but if I resize the model, the decal needs to be resized. Is there any way to drive the X Scale of a Decal to the size of a model with a relation?
Hello All,I have a query related to Annotation Planes. Can we automatically set the Annotation Planes when we select COMBINATION STATE? I have 5 combination states (7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E ) with specific orientations. I also have 5 Annotation Planes(7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E ). When I have to give 3D annotation in any Combination State I always need to select the respective Annotation Plane for proper text and dimension orientation. So I want to know if I select 7A combination state, Is there any way to set Annotation planes 7A to get selected automatically? Thank you.Best regards,Atul Ghadge.
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/AHello,I need multi-language annotation. I saw it from youtube and blogs. But only CREO elements/direct has this option.I can't find it from CREO parametric 3.0 ~10.0I want to use annotation ENG and KOR language together. Please let me know how I can do it.Or please let me know where I can find annotation file. So I can modify it....
Well, being an Olde Timer here, I remember when "Layout/Notebook" (If I remember the proper terms) was the hot ticket method promoted by PTC. Then they went to the "Master Model" method. Then there's the "Skeleton" method. I used the "Master" model technique a couple times in the early 2000's, but had some issues with it, especially with layers. Then I switched to using Skeleton models, and while I had some issues with layers in the early 2010's, it seems to work now. I DON'T like the fact that (at least from what I remember - that may have changed) the Skeleton doesn't always travel with the related submodels like the Master model always did. So, I use the Skeleton method now because of the issues I had using the Master model method. What are you guys using and why? We're writing a spec for our group regarding modeling practices and dwgs, and we want to include top-Down design. Grazie!
I have been trying to remove model from drawing but message I get is 'can not delete model with views using it'. I ensured to remove all views related to the model,
Hello, I am posting a question because there is a blockage while playing the toolkit. When using ProUIListSelectednamesGet among functions, the result value is stored only with the first letter of the list name.Does anyone have a solution to this problem? The details are attached as a photo. void ListMoveButtonClicked(char* dialog, char* component, ProAppData data){char* dialogName = "test2"; // 대화 상자 이름char* listName = "In_list"; // 목록 컴포넌트 이름int nSelections; // 선택된 항목 수char** selections = NULL; // 선택된 항목의 이름 배열wchar_t wideStr[100]; ProError status = ProUIListSelectednamesGet(dialogName, listName, &nSelections, &selections); if (status == PRO_TK_NO_ERROR) { wchar_t* temp = ProStringToWstring(wideStr, selections[0]); for (int i = 0; i < num_files; ++i) { if (wcscmp(w_char_mdl_name[i], L"DRW0002") == 0){iMessa
I want to assign different color for each family table instance. is there a way to do this? pls suggest.
Can I configure a Drawing repeat region (bom table) that shows parent assembly on first line followed by only first bom level components? Recursive table shows parent at top but shows all bom levels. Flat table shows first level bom only but does not show parent at top. I am using Creo 9.0.2.0
Hello I'm defining Combination States as I use them for 2D drafting views (trying to do so). E.g. Collecting all the Annotation to them which are belonging to the described product features for detailing views. For large features this works well, but for smaller features (see image) the text size jams the space.Quite quickly the model is much too small for the representation of the Combination State with all dimensions or symbols in it. I would like to know whether anybody knows an Option to make Creo automatically scaling Annotations according the computer (cad) window. So that the text always has the same size compared with the window size. With such an option I could add the 3D Annotation to very small parts, so when I zoom in (as I do in 2D with the scale for the geometry, but the text remains scaled to the drawing size). Thank's in advance for hint's.PB
Multibody – Clearance & Creepage Analysis, Hello all and welcome to another blog post in the multibody series. In today’s topic I would like to make you aware of the multibody setup possibilities for clearance and creepage analysis. With the introduction of bodies in Creo Parametric 7.0, we also introduced support of the COMPARATIVE_TRACKING_INDEX parameter for bodies. If you add it to individual bodies of a part, you can define and control the conductivity definition separately for different bodies within a part. The attached video shows an example on a fuse part by defining conductive ends as body with a different CTI value. Once the body level parameter values are defined, you can see the conductive highlighting including the metallic ends of the fuse and excluding the red inner body. (view in My Videos) Thanks for reading & watching. I hope it was informative. If you liked it, give it a Kudo. Back to Creo 7.0 & 8.0+ Multibody Home:
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0I'm an IT system administrator and I have a single user having an issue with the speed of loading and exporting drawings to our servers. I currently have article CS49886 up and i've investigated the files and locations mentioned in the article.1) I need to know if I just delete the whole .wf file in order to clear the cache or if there is another method.2) in the suggested technique for improving retrieval performance article I can find config.pro and the value Trail_Dir but I cannot find the value Use_tem_dire_for_isnt to alter it to yes. Please advise. EDIT: Thank you for your responses! I appreciate it! Clearing the .wf cache didn't seem to have any impact.Looking at the history of the ticket further what happened is that august 23rd the CREO user couldn't contact the license server even though the network remained in tact. Ever since that point it's been slow for the user. All other users ar
