Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hi everyone, I’m working with the team in charge to move to MBE, and I’ve run into a challenge I hope someone can help with.I’m trying to remove the general linear tolerances that appear on every part (see attachment 1). I experimented with setting the "tol_Display" option to "no", which does remove the general tolerances, but unfortunately, it also hides all the local tolerances on features of size (see attachment 2 and 3).Has anyone found a way to remove just the general linear tolerances while keeping the local ones visible?I’ve attached a reference image to show what I’m working with. Any tips, workarounds, or settings I might have missed would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Hi have quite the extensive Hole chart that fills 2 sheets in my Creo 10 Drawing.All was going well until I noticed I lost my Hole Designations that tells me in the hole chart its dimensions.I have had one other person have the same experience.Anyone know how to get them back?

So our company updated our office products to use the microsoft sensitivity labeling on documents. Now when editing family tables, one must select a label before opening the file. While this is a headache as sometimes the dialog isnt available on the alt+tab menu and must be navigated to from the task manager. The real issue is that sometimes when closing the excel file, Creo does not know it's been closed and nothing be clicked on. Even if I kill the excel process through the task manager, Creo is still waiting and clicking anywhere in the program results in the windows sound that I am clicking an invalid window. Does anyone know any work arounds? It appears that the real issue is you must select a sensitivity label before editing the file.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 12.4 and Datecode12.4.0.0I am experiencing an issue when exporting a model from Creo Parametric to STEP format.When I create a model as a single part and then add weld bodies, Creo automatically generates additional bodies and layers during the export. When I reopen the exported STEP file in Creo, the structure of the model appears completely different from the original one created in Creo.Could you please help me understand why this happens and how to correctly export the STEP file without the model structure changing?Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,I am trying to create my custom ifx library, I have setup all parts, their catalogs and other configuration.I have also created translation file for catalogs names and their helptext.I have used runtime variable creation process to use custom library location. Creo parametric is taking all components and configs from custom location but it is not taking translation file from my custom location. It is using ifx_translation file from default creo installation.Is their any settings/config need to add , please help a=uf anyone knows.

Hello,Recently I am getting a crashing issue when closing out the ECAD/MCAD Collaboration tool. The traceback file states "Exception EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION has occurred in the thread xxxxx". The thread number changes every time it crashes. I had another user try on a different machine and got the same result. This seems to have started within the last couple weeks, I have successfully done this process before this period. Thanks in advance for the support,Tanner

Recently was assigned a new laptop at work with a 4K, 120Hz screen. I have now found that whenever I unplug my laptop from the docking station (2 1080p 60Hz monitors), the visualizer in Creo freezes up and is unresponsive. I am still able to use the model tree/configuration ribbon, and opening new windows results works just fine. When reconnecting to the dock, all the windows start working again without issue. I have to assume this is something with my display settings. I have attempted to fix this issue by disabling Integrated Graphics and adjusting screen resolution and refresh rate, with no success. 

How can we share published MBD part to procurement teams who does not have Creo Parametric

Hi! I have a part with different holes. In my 2D drawing I am using the default hole table from Creo (v8.09). It shows for example M2.5x.45 ISO in the cell but when I look at the hole annotation, it shows M2.5x.45 ISO - H2.7 DRILL ( 2.700 ) THRU So why it doesn't show this in the hole table? I tried to change in the table the definition of the cell to include these information. Then I go back to the part and back again to the drawing and the cell content is back to what it was before. Why is that? Also I have a clearance hole on the part, but in the hole table it shows M2.5x.45 ISO. This is wrong.

Clicking setup.exe during Creo installation produces no response. How can I solve this?

As autocad. I have many 2D drawings, each drawing is a .DWR file. Is there any tool in the Drawing interface of Creo 12 to quickly combine many drawings into one DWR file? Thanks

We use PTC CREO for our engineering system, I am being told that we cannot export drawing to a directory in PDF format in part number order. Is it possible? 

Hi everyone, I'm currently working with PTC Creo Web.Link and trying to determine whether it's possible to designate a parameter specifically associated with a FeatureID within an assembly context.I've reviewed the Web.Link documentation and found the method pfcScript.pwlParameterDesignationAdd(), which seems to apply only to general model parameters. However, I haven't found any reference to designating parameters that are tied directly to a FeatureID. Has anyone successfully designated a parameter linked to a specific feature within an assembly using Web.Link? If so, could you share any insights, approaches, or code examples?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.8.0Our team makes models (assemblies to be precise) of chips/substrates that have a rectangular body, an overlay showing bump circles, and hundreds to thousands of solder ball models patterned over the bump circles that were imported from dwg onto the model's surface. The pattern part is currently tricky and involves a lot of file conversions and scripting outside of Creo to make a pattern table that meets the formatting required. I wanted to see if there is a way (or request this feature) to be able to pattern each solder ball over each bump circle by recognizing the pattern of bump circles. I know there is a feature recognition of patterns and ability to write/read that pattern table, but it does not recognize lines, only edges/surfaces of holes. The ability to recognize the edge of an imported circle for this feature recognition functionality would allow us to save multiple steps.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.8.0I'm working with Creo Parametric 7.0 and preparing a model for FEM meshing in Altair SimLab. I need to divide a surface on the model to isolate a specific region for mesh control. In Creo 9.0, I know there's a "Divide Surface" feature that makes this easy, but it's not available in version 7.0.I’ve tried using the Split Surface tool, but it doesn’t allow me to sketch and limit the division to a specific area. What I need is a way to sketch a region on an existing surface and divide it so that SimLab can recognize it as a separate surface during import.In CATIA, I would use the "Sew Surface" function to achieve this, and SimLab would correctly identify the separated surface. Is there a workaround or alternative method in Creo 7.0 to achieve similar functionality?Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We would like to have three additional fields added in Creo NC for the tool type “Reaming”: “tip angle”, “tip offset”, and “tip diameter”. "Picture 1 Reaming" Our colleagues in programming would like to control the depth during programming—similar to “Drilling” and “Thread Cutting”—using these additional fields.This would be a considerable relief during programming, as the chamfer/lead-in of the reamer would no longer need to be added to the depth manually. Example for Drilling:"Picture 2 Drilling" Example for Thread Cutting:"Picture 3 Thread cutting"    

Hi Everyone,I'm encountering a challenge while attempting static structural simulations in Creo Simulate using Mid Surface shell idealization with contact definitions.It appears that the contact interactions are being ignored during the solution process, leading to premature termination of the simulation. This issue seems specific to the shell idealization approach.While switching to solid or thin solid idealizations does allow the contacts to be recognized, it significantly increases model complexity and computational time.Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Hello PTC communityI am trying to solve a Topology optimization problem (CREO 10.0.9.0) for a rotating disc, but it is not converging properly.  Here is a simplified version of the problem I am trying to solve. 1) starting geometry = full disc2) preserve geometries = Center and exterior portion of the disc3) Axis have a cylindrical support 4) Contact defined between shaft and disc5) Centrifugal force added in the center axis direction  criteria below:  6) I tried mass reduction or stiffness and both did not converged correct7) I am defining symmetric distribution around axis and symmetric between central plane😎 material is defined with standard properties  This is the result I am getting  I tryied, axissymetric model as well (pie slice), it did not work as well.Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or how to set this problem properly?   

Hello All, In Creo 7 when saving as a STEP, I was able to select the coordinate system in the window shown in the attachment but in Creo 10 the button stays greyed.Does anybody know why this is ? 

If I try to Open Using Default Template for a result set, I immediately get an error message and then a fatal error. However, if I first launch Creo Simulate, and then use Open Result → Default Template, the same results open normally with no issues.     P.S. i don't have any Z:\ drive  

We are trying to develop a Creo Java Toolkit based application in synch mode (going by the recommendation from PTC) . We would like to use JavaFX for the UI .We see some old articles mentioning the issues related to using JavaFX in Creo Java Toolkit app and like to understand if there are folks who have used it successfully and any guidelines or recommendations to follow to do so.@Florent_Colab @GS_14113977 

Hello!I have a frame design. I wish to get the reactions on the 4 points.I have as load the gravitation.The "Y" Reactions are ok. Way I get also reactions on "X" and on "Z"? In case that I have on corner "1" and "4" NO translation and on the corners "2" and "3" translation, by using of load by side, I will not have reaction in the corners "2" and "3". So ...this is the art to determinate the forces, but this is wrong be side load. So ..how to set the constrains correct?Thank you!
